Love that you understand and respect how native people or original people of the land and/or area feel about outsiders roaming basically in their back yards. Respect for other people, culture, nationality, heritage is hard to find nowadays. 🥰
I would like to thank you for the wonderful content you’ve created. I have watched a few of your videos and they have amazing views and great messages. I was born and raised in that territory and every time I go back I’m at aw, there are so many places in that area to see. Many many thanks for respecting and keeping our lands clean. Cheers.
I always get a strong sense of calm while watching your videos. I'm sure it's in part due to your voice and way of speaking, but it's far more than that, in a way I don't really have the ability to describe... Anyhow, thanks for making them!
I gotta say the reason why I feel compelled to watch your video every time I get the notification is that you are an excellent storyteller. 😀 the drone shots and the spectacular views with your narrations is like reading a novel about your life’s adventures. I enjoyed it. 👍✌️🇨🇦
Hello Monique, hope you are well. I am a Amateur Radio Operator in southern California and when I studied for my test, one of the things that was in the book was that you should stay a good distance away from an antenna when someone is transmitting, especially with high power. I am sure that the Australians have a good reason for mounting their antennas on the bull bar but their is two things wrong with their location. Number one radiation into your cab and number two no ground plane which is not good for the SWR's in the radio, also very poor range. Their are antenna companies that make fold down antennas for roof mount that are very durable. If you know that you are going into some tree areas then just fold it down. Stay safe and keep your wheels on the ground!
KUDOS AGAIN! You are a very wise and respectful soul! Being from BC originally, I have the utmost respect for First Nations was it was ALL theirs before we came, and they were so shit on to say the least, so thanks again! Loved you videography and all the BEST to you! Cheers! :)
Another informative video with awesome footage! I can't believe they called your Landcruiser a Land Rover..... It's nice to see the respect you have for Natives and also your safety. Keep up the good work and enjoying nature!
I am enjoying your videos, thank you. I am outfitting my Nissan Frontier to do this exact thing. January 2022 looks like when I will be ready to get out in the world. I work in an industry that enables me to do it, so I will. I hope, one day, to meet you and let you know that this experience, be it vicarious, helped me appreciate my decisions to make the necessary changes in my life to explore myself through the eyes of the world.
G'day mate I showed my wife one of your video's and she liked it, and as Aussies we just enjoy watching a Aussie landcruiser roaming around in another country. Stay safe and just continue to enjoy your journey 👍👍
Building my 2014 Tacoma TRD Off Road into an overland rig. Having a winch bumper built this week. I won't need the snorkel I won't go that deep and besides I would tear it off in the trees along the paths around here anyway. Already lifted it three inches and put bigger wheels and tires on and a canopy to sleep in.
I just recently found your channel. I'm so glad I did. You are quite an inspiration. I am in the process of building my rig and hope to begin solo travel soon. Thank you for sharing your adventures with us.
I absolutely love your videos, your point of view, and calming voice. Thank you for sharing your travels and thoughts with us! Be safe and Blessings ☘️
Solitude is awesome Monique...totally hearing the extended solitude becoming too loud. Humanity tones down the volume of our thoughts. People are awesome too, it’s finding the balance of the solitude and human connection....great video , your thoughts surprised me Monique, your intune
The drone shots show an amazing & beautiful country. Actually jaw droping, indescribable beauty. Your showing places that we would not otherwise see. Not on your regular tourist destination. I normally am on my iPad doing something but I had to rewind as I was missing so much. Would be like if you had a passenger & they were reading a book & not looking at the beauty around them. Thank you so so much for bringing us on your journey. Regards & blessings from Australia 🇦🇺🐨😊💙😊💙😊💙🦘🇦🇺
Your awesome commentary and the great views keep me coming back. On top of that, your infectious personality keeps me looking forward to your next post. Keep moving! Regarding your A/C, I think it's your blend door motor, which is probably buried deep in your dashboard. It sounds like it's not switching over to cool and why it only blows hot.
Love the drone shots! I wonder if you could talk about wildlife in one of your videos? Funny encounters, scary sounds, larger than life unexpected animals. One time I had a chipmonk crawl right up on my lap and smack my other hand away as he tried to get to my PB and J sandwich. A moose on the other side of a small evergreen (unexpected walk up) is larger than seeing one from a lookout point. Thanks for your videos!
wow ....... thank you for sharing your passion. What magnificent shots and scenery. I shouaite you a beautiful continuity. I can't wait for the next video. thanks again
It would be awesome to FaceTime with you so you had some company. I do a lot of camping in northern Arizona by myself so I know how it is when you miss the company or conversation. Awesome drone footage while your driving! Seriously impressed 😁
Sounds like your ball joint needs replacing, just had all mine replaced. Same clunk . Great video 📹👍 Been on solo trips before with not much human interaction . It's a humbling experience. The voice in your head becomes much louder and clear. And at least ya got that mean looking 12 guage and know how to use it , I wouldn't worry about the Natives as long as you respect their gates and land .
Your awesome solo female traveller brave and courageous. Can travel alone without seeing people for a day. I have no courage to travel alone in a place without seeing people. It's like I feel I am in the middle of an ocean. Anyway, people have different perspectives likes and dislikes. I am amused watching your vlog. Thanks.
It is nice country up there, perfect for getting away from it all. Bears are up at least on the coast keep an eye out, I have seen a grizz or two down near the river.
You have amazing talent filming, editing, and story telling. I always wonder how much of the story is planned when the day starts vs just develops through the day. Regardless, thanks for sharing.
The tone of the video actually mostly developed during editing... when going out, i choose a general direction and just go. Then while editing, watching back and feel the emotion again
I totally get the desire to be alone for the majority of the time and yet have the urge for a little social contact. Totally normal I say. As for that popping sound, reminds me of worn down teeth on a CV and when it’s in a strain, it jumps a tooth. Might want to get that checked out sometime soon if you plan on continuing your solo trips. (Which I know you will.😉) I’ve been stranded deep in the bush before and it’s no fun. Stay safe out there. Cheers.
@@OverlandLady I don’t mean to scare you. It could just be that the camber bolts need to be tightened, worn out ball joints, or a simple fix like the turn stops just need a little grease dabbed on them. Simply put, if you hear something odd with your vehicle, you should get it checked out. Especially when you’re adventuring out like you do.
Hard to tell by just the sound, but if it is a CV, and it pops during a trip, I think that LC has a locking center differential, engaging it will get you moving. So unlikely to leave you stranded, but probably worth checking out.
