Thank you for keeping it real. Most people only show the best parts of the story, it's a great reminder to see it's not all sunshine and bunnies. :-) Looking forward to the next segment.
Underrated channel to be honest. Content is really good, filmed really well and the voice overs compliment the video so nicely. And it's not just this one, it's very consistent. Well done!
What you were talking about at the start, happens with my 100 when it's fully loaded. The auto and the cruise control does struggle to find a comfortable rev range. I'd reccomend some weight reduction. Switch to alloy rims instead of steelies, saves 50-60kg depends on what rim size
About the valve stem cap for your tires. We use short valve stem extensions on big trucks here in the US. You don't need to take them off to put air in or let it out and still keeps dirt and mud out of your valve seals
hi! #overlandlady This problem of not reaching a certain speed soon or reaching 120 kph is solved by installing a turbocharger, your toyota admits that possibility, a 300hp one is enough so that you have enough power, without excesses and you can get enough energy to walk at good speed and which will also improve off road performance!
That mosquito was huge! I know what you mean about other travelers leaving their garbage behind. Our recent trip to BLM land we spent 1hr picking up garbage from our site 🤦♂️. It is truly disheartening to see people leave trash behind. Great videos keep them coming btw 👍
gotta give it to you girl, you more into this than some of my guy friends. that's dope. come down to washington and explore with us sometimes?! when the border opens back up of course. stay up, exploring is the best. makes all the down sides worth it when you find new spots!
Altitute = air intake cfm and gear ratio. Can be tricky but there are a lot of info out there on the subject. Remember gear it so you can off road good but still drive on the highway.
Hello, I enjoy your videos and spirit of adventure! I am a long time Land Cruiser owner, having many since 1978. My current rig is a 100 series. I use only premium grade fuel, and when available, ethanol-free fuel! I upgraded the suspension to Old Man Emu with a 2" lift. Tires are Yokohama Geolander A/T 285/75R16 (10 ply). I am not sure of your lack of power issue in the mountains. The only time I lost power was when I lost two coil packs and she was only running on 6 cyl. Good luck!
new subscriber. I enjoyed your short film about how and why you started. The level of detail in the style of your content doesn't go un-noticed. I look forward to seeing more and best of luck on your channel!
Moniqe, CBC Weather Scientist "cant recall her name" said that the real danger in a fire is wind. Wind carrier fire brands down wind and starts spot fires. She said STAY out of the forest if its in the middle of a severe drought. Also, winds over 30km/h, Tempatures over 30C and Humidity under 30%. These are what causes mega fires in Canada and the United States. I would consider bring a portable fire shelter should you be caught in a forest fire.
Tie a small ear plugs pouch to your compressor/inflator and put your stem cap in it.... If you forget to put it back on, you'll still have it with your compressor
With all the added weight with your build, try looking into re-gearing your differentials into a better ratio. Keep in mind the weight of your rig and also your tire size. Though this process will not so much help with your speed, it will really come through with your gas mileage and prevent engine strain. Love the channel!!!
This life isn't for everyone. Isolation can have positive and negative affect to people. But, I have travelled a lot of the world, often to some remote locations, and the most memorable is sitting alone with only the sound of the wind overlooking a frozen ocean where there are no animals and no sounds of human life. This was a great video and almost suspenseful to find out what happens in the end. It was like petting a dog, I think my heart rate and blood pressure dropped.
I have been following you and others I have built a rig and purchased a tear drop trailer live in Ontario and I am planning to go to BC next May then head up to the Arctic ocean hopefully have some fellow outlander join on the trip and share the adventure like yourself and others 😀
If you ask me ,it doesn't matter how good the scenery is if your lonely you can still feel a bit down ,find yourself someone nice to share your life with you sweet thing
Feel your pain with the wind had my old R50 Pathfinder rock pretty good a couple of times up on Chilko lake. The wind shifted and the side rather than the front. Garbage sucks, I clean up every site I am at, if there is garbage. But at the end of a long day hitting the site you planned on with a bunch junk scattered around tends to take you down a notch. I stop, setup, eat and then clean up the site. I find the act of leaving things better for the next guy lifts my spirits a bit. I have enjoyed your channel so far.
Escaping daily living sounds amazing, but living alone for too long is definitely boring. If you have a companion traveling with with you, you could fell much happier.
So so Shameful for people to leave there trash everywhere they go. In Hawaii we have a few people like that, they don’t know how they affect the land, the air, the rivers... that leads to the Oceans, that trash that they have just left affects the whole planet, which later which later affects us as the human species. We are the Planets Worst Species to live on this Beautiful planet, we should be honored to have such a beautiful place to call... home... we should think of ourselves as Gaurdians and Care takers of this land. We have a saying here in Hawaii, “you bring it in... you can take it out! Leaving only footsteps in the Sand, and taking a great experience!” Keep up with pushing for a cleaner living leaving only footsteps. ♥️
It's always nice to see a pretty face..... 😉 just love your adventures.. Won of these day's i may experience the same adventures?..... Goodnight and God Bless you pretty lady........ 👍
Do you find yourself feeling like you need a companion sometimes? I wonder if long-term this lifestyle makes people long for communication and sharing it with someone or just have someone to talk to on the long trips and campsites. Great videography btw and just subbed!
Nice drone shot. Hopefully you're in a better mood meanwhile 😊. Please tell me, which folding chair you love the best? Think you tried out a lot of them... 😅 Best wishes from Germany!
The Kings from Australia is my stable because it's thicker and comfy. Loved the Kuma heated chair but it packs down too big and don't need the heating function in warm weather now. However for sitting and writing, ARB director chair is best because of its flat bottom. Normal camp chair is comfortable when leaning back because it sags but not for leaning over to reach a table.
Do you have your videos on Rumble or one of the other Video Sites? They pay more. Plus RUclips is doing to much control over peoples videos. Im watching more and more form other sites. Good Luck!
Love your content. Love that even when you’re overlanding, you’re always looking good and fresh and taking care of yourself. Don’t know how you do this overlanding by yourself. I’d be to scared lol. Hope you’re carrying a pistol or something for protection and I’m not talking about animals but humans.
Nice video. I have just found your channel and have a couple of questions if I may? What country are you traveling atm, as you seem to be in a country with left hand drive cars but your landcruiser is right hand drive? I noticed some Australian flag stickers on the car and the front number plate is covering up an Australian New South Wales plate, so all very confusing atm. You have yourself another subscriber.
@@OverlandLady wow great story. I admire what you have done. That must have been an expensive exercise shipping you car all the way from Australia to Canada and a lot of hassle. I have a friend who imported cars and boats from LA to Sydney every year.
@@OverlandLady And you can leave it right hand drive. Lucky you're not bringing it into Australia as a left hand drive vehicle because you'd have to have it converted to right hand at a considerable cost.

Inspirational. You’ve inspired me to travel the backroads of BC once my ordered truck arrives. Thinking of even filming all of it. A trials and tribulations of a beginner over landing! Lol
Haha our cruisers are slow on the road, just got to get used to cruising with the semi trucks. But most will never see the same views or know the same addictive peace and quiet.

Rainbows. I think she said rainbows. There weren't any bunnies either, but there rarely are. :)
You are an amazing woman Monique, your parents would be so proud of you, and thank you for taking the time to clean up after others.

Why did you air down to drive on a hardback road?
I aired up one side to level the car for sleep. So air that side back on to go thru the gravel road i was on
