I really liked the Mondrian pattern black lacquer chairs. I wish I could have a pair. The Legeresque art work on walls was nice. I wonder if it was saved..
IMHO they should rebuild the ship to the same specifications as the original ship, call it "Concordia II", and have a memorial to the victims of the disaster on it.
Nice photo compilation, thanks for sharing. The salvage company is breaking it down very quickly. I wonder if the cruise line can still use any of the stuff in the ship that didn't get wet.
+Joaquin Perez Hello, thank you for the compliment! No nothing official Costa Concordia will be recovered for another vessel. As against the recycled materials used in new construction, buildings, bridges, cars or ships may be, but it will remain secret and mix with other materials. Marco Mannella
I would like to thank the Italian authorities for allowing me to spread my wings and raise this ship and tow it out of there. I am sorry for the loss of life TERRIBLE. I AM MASTER ENGINEER AND SALVAGE EXPERT NICK SLOANE CAPE TOWN SOUTH AFRICA 🇿🇦. MILLIONS HAD DOUBTS IN ME. LOOK AT ME NOW. THIS HAS NEVER BEEN DONE BEFORE IN THE HISTORY OF MAN KIND. MY KINGDOM HAS NO END.
Salt water immersion utterly destroys the vessel! The contrast of the interior which was under water to that which wasn't is remarkable! Absolutely destroyed!
I feel sad for the ship. She went WAY before her time. Apparently, captain's can have a kind of 'Brain-freeze' in a situation like this, where your brain just can't process what is going on. I think that is probably what happened to him. Research the Yamouth Castle, where the captain did a similar thing by abandoning the ship with everyone still on-board. Not that this is any excuse really. As a captain, you are ultimately responsible for your ship and it's crew and passengers.
Quite right. I don't mean to insult the memory of the people who died, but I was only referring to the ship in my comment. I am well aware of the loss of life, and that is very sad - and totally un-necessary - too. I'm sorry if you thought I was being disrespectful to the dead in that comment - not my intention. Had she not been sailed the way she was, no-one would have died, and the ship would probably have had a nice long and successful career at sea. :)

So sad For the lost of the 32 people 😢rip.glad for the survivors👍🏻🙏🏻and yes this ship 🚢 is a lost but wonder what they going to do with the people belongings or some stuff from the Concordia like the piano, dishes, furniture etc?
Wish they would have just dragged it a bit further out and sunk it. Would have made a hell of a diving site. People from around the world would come to dive this ship wreck.
That logic would be fine hudstar2011 had the ship sunk, and the valuables were deep underwater outta reach. But someone could potentially steal everyones stuff, making it an issue.
+Marc Weiner Unable hull suffered too much pressure when the ship was lying, because of the weight of the first 11 boxes on the right side before rotation. Nick Sloane had estimated that the shell had crashed 3 meters.
Wonderful imagery enhanced by beautiful music. A really sad end to a masterpiece of human imagination and construction. RIP Concordia.
Rust in peace Costa Concordia.
well it gone to nails
Moving quickly .. Thanks for sharing..
1:55, nice to see what it was like compared to later on. Nice quality.

Hearing someone cough during a concert I paid good money to attend makes me want to go to them and ask them to pay for my ticket.

the only thing which is sad is you, beeing sad for a thing instead of the victims. You can rebuild that ship, but can not rebuild the victims.

je comprend, simple question que je me suis posé. merci quand même.
Un français enfin
How did the side of the ship get all that damage? Can't just be from sitting in the water?
because when the ship shifted to one side, all the object slid on one side damaging everything else on it
I watched the documentary of them salvaging the ship. The damage is from rubbing on the rocks.
danwat1234 m
The divers had hammers and destroyed the beautiful ship!
Imagine diving on that ship. It must be freightening, and dangerous.
Albert Gallagher you would get so easily disoriented to which way is up once inside and under water since the ship was on its side
que sont devenus les bagages des passagés ? ont ils été rendus ?

Fixtures and fittings left in the ship when it goes to scrap are sold on by the scrap yard
This entire vid makes my brain hurt because everything is tilted sideways because of how the ship 'sank'.
Em minha opinião muitas coisas ficaram intactas
L'hanno poi recuperata o demolita?
+Jhonvan22 Demolita !
grazie !!
grazie !!
grazie !!
non preoccuparti ora a colmare il vuoto della vecchia ammiraglia c'è Costa Diadema
Je me demande ce qu'il en est aujourdhui ?!

levarão on navio que aida anda tira a parte que tar soja e coloca nova mas desmonto o navio
so many people left their cash & jewelry in their room safe. who got all that?
To date the cabins objects are still sealed !
the objects from the cabins were gave back to the passengers
life was saved....better than saving cash and jewellery

Ihudstar2011 :Der"" I think he knows that! He was just wondering where the cash & jewelry went.

Very, very sad.
une fatalité ... stylo pour voir un navire qui était si beau tour junkyard
what is the music please, it is beautiful
Markko122L Tchaikovsky's 5th Symphony, 2nd Movement
Well... At least it looks better than Titanic :P
this inside of the wreck should be look like
well i guess thats one way to wash dishes.
poor ship it will be cool if the wreck one is fixed
They already spent $1.2 billion salvaging her. They are not gonna waste even more millions of $$ by repairing her.
What happened to the dead bodies
during the early days they sent in divers and got as many as they could easily and safely find.
Madman360 One is still missing.
Alysabeth Stuhlmacher no, they got them.all in 2013. The waiter was the last found, about 6 weeks after they raised the ship.
Da muss mal wer klar Schiff machen! 😂
They could have just painted it and it would be ready to sail again!
+Marc Weiner Unable hull suffered too much pressure when the ship was lying, because of the weight of the first 11 boxes on the right side before rotation. Nick Sloane had estimated that the shell had crashed 3 meters.
Marco Mannella Wow that's unfortunate
poor ship
I saw bodies in the photos :o
