Hello, those drivers packages are defined by apple, there is no custom build. It depends of the mac model. For some there are drives, for others not. But you can also mix and match. After you istall the drivers designed for your model, download drivers for a newer model and see if you can install them via windows device manager, by targeting the drivers folder. Sometimes it works.

Hello, this video is only about installing and using Brigadier.
I have another video with details about how to install Windows 11 on MacBook Pro Mid 2010: ruclips.net/video/TK61_7k3aoU/видео.html
Maybe it can help but you need to take in consideration one important point: these setups are not supported and may or may not work. Also, even if it works now, things can get nasty after even a simple windows update.
I do not recommend using it as main computer unless there is no other choice and of course you need to do a lot of backup to make sure you do not loose your precious data.
      Hope it helps.

      Hello, Gordon,
With Brigadier you can download a bootcamp version for some specific model.
However, you need to know the exact model. (e.g. not 16,4 but MacBookPro16,4).
Regarding 17,1 (aka MacBookPro17,1, aka MacBook Pro 13 M1 2020), there is no bootcamp for it because officially windows is not supported on ARM macs.
For MacBookPro16,4 there is bootcamp driver available via brigadier.
I actually own one (MacBook Pro 16 with 5600M graphics) and have windows 11 on an external disk and boot from it when I need to game but it was very very very difficult to install it.
You need wired mouse and keyboard because trackpad and keyboard do not work until you install the drivers (bootcamp). I had several failed attempts to install it and finally I just installed it on MacBook Pro 2010 then booted on this one and installed bootcamp drivers.
I had also various problems with bootcamp drivers and had to start all over again several times.
Also, some drivers were not installed with bootcamp installation and I had to take all missing drivers one by one and install them manually (e.g. device manager, provide bootcamp folder path, etc.).
So it is not a walk in a park and that is the reason why I have not created any video for it yet. It was even more difficult than installing it on MacBook Pro Mid 2010.
However I can strongly point out: it can be done.
Regarding magic mouse, you should be able to find it in bluetooth devices provided you have bluetooth drivers installed so this brigs us back to what I have mentioned previously.
      Hope this helps.
      Cheers!

      Hello,
If you are satisfied with the windows how it is, there is no need to install bootcamp drivers. They are used if something is not working, like graphics drivers, etc.
But I do not see why you will not want to install bootcamp drivers. Do you have any problems finding the correct drivers?

Hello, it's a bit tricky if you do not have a functional network adapter. You will need to use some usb wired adapter because you definitely need network. While the base drivers can be installed with bootcamp drivers which you can get from another computer and transfer them via usb stick, also windows update can install important updates, bootcamp drivers included.
From 2011 we have the following models: MacBookPro8.1, 8.2 and 8.3. However there are only 2 bootcamp drivers available:
      - 041-84708 version 4.0.4033
      - 041-84821 version 5.1.5621 -> this one is more suitable for you.
For windows 11 you will need additionally also a bootcamp version 6 too because you have to transfer some files. Please follow this tutorial that is for an older mac but maybe it works on yours too: ruclips.net/video/TK61_7k3aoU/видео.html

      Hello,
This is not related to brigadier. The error code 10060 means it cannot connect to the remote address. The cause can be a network problem or configuration issues, like proxy settings.
If you do not have some weird proxy settings, you can switch the connectivity and see how it goes. For example, if you are on wifi, connect your laptop/PC to mobile internet (hotspot).

Olá, você poderia deixar o link da versão BootCamp 6.0 que você baixou. Eu não consegui fazer esse processo que você ensina.

    • @zubilitic
      @zubilitic  2 года назад

      Olá,
      Hello,
In order to download a custom bootcamp version, you must start first CMD and then run brigadier from there.
Hope you understand what I wrote here :)
Even if you have the direct link, is not that simple. You will have to unpack it (extract the drivers) so brigadier is the right way.
You ony have to do: Start -> run -> cmd
and there go to where you have downloaded brigadier and run it like this:
      brigadier.exe -m MacBookPro16,4
Also, if you still have mac operating system, you can try to download it with bombardier (mac application) which seems easier:
      github.com/ninxsoft/Bombardier/releases

By default brigadier will download the most updated bootcamp for that model but that doesn't mean it is the latest version.
For MacBookAir5,2 there are 3 product IDs:

      041-84821: PostDate 2019-10-22

Most probably you do not replace MacHALDrivers.sys before rebooting. Please check out this video (minute 4): ruclips.net/video/TK61_7k3aoU/видео.html

Hello, try to install the rest of the drivers manually from device management and by selecting bootcamp drivers folder. I did it like this some times and it worked.
And another thing, update your windows via windows update because it updates also bootcamp drivers if a higher version is available.

Model, year. This you can see from Apple menu -> "About This Mac"

If you just open it, will detect what you have and will attempt to download the right drivers but sometimes you need to tweak it a bit ;)

Tried your method without success, Brigadier with console options -m imac.5.1 does download a .pkg file but crashes at the 7-zip stage. ( I have 7-zip installed on my windows 11 machine already) When I use 7-zip to extract the pkg file, it produces a file "payload~" . I cant seem to get past this point. What am I doing wrong...thanks in advance!

      Hello,
I am sure you wrote this in a hurry but for the others, the actual command to download bootcamp drivers for iMac5.1 is: brigadier.exe -m iMac5,1
I have tried this earlier and it works without issues. I have windows 11 and 7zip 21.07.
I am thinking what could be the cause of your error and the only thing that comes to my mind is the free space on your drive.
Sorry for the dumb question but do you have enough space on your drive?
If yes, you can always uninstall 7zip and download install it again.
Please check this and let me know. Thanks.
One more thing: if you have a mac running macos around, an easier alternative to brigadier is bombardier: ruclips.net/video/9cGlitC-cFA/видео.html

I was getting a payload error so well on the 7 zip command line. So I reinstalled 7 zip to my C: folder and NOT Program files. Then it worked!

Will this method work on a MacBook 5,2?

    • @zubilitic
      @zubilitic  Год назад

This method is about how to download bootcamp drivers. If there are drivers for MacBook 5,2, brigadier will find and download them.
If the detection is not working (very unlikely), you can always use the -m option with the model: MacBook5,2 as shown in the video.
Which Windows version you plan to install on it?

You wrote you have MacBook5,2 which has a 64 bit processor (Intel Core 2 Duo (P7350) ("Penryn")). Regarding RAM, it supports 6G maximum - according to mactracker - (2x 200-pin PC2-5300 (667MHz) DDR2 SO-DIMM) so you should be able to upgrade it. Or at least to 4G according to Apple. It is still better than 1.

      Hello Marc.
Most macs have more than one bootcamp version and brigadier by default does not always gets the one right for you and for that you will have to use "-m model".
Which mac do you have? Maybe I can pinpoint the correct bootcamp drivers version.

      Hello Marc,
Officially, this mac does not have drivers for windows 10: support.apple.com/en-us/HT201468
However, "I have heard" you could make it work by installing windows 7, install bootcamp drivers for windows 7, then upgrade to windows 10.
However, to install Windows 10 directly it may be tricky which most probably involves testing/installing various bootcamp versions and see if it works.
