If anything, I'm expecting the battery life to be better in the plus if this is true with the 4900mAh. And it's good to put almost the same size battery in one of their smaller phones due to criticism of the size and discomfort holding the ultra. Also, I'm sure the Plus is still powerful, but more optimized so you can get the most out of the battery life. It's kind of clever.

Awful that they do this. If I were to get a Samsung phone I’d like to get the s24+ for the size and rounded corners. However, being in the UK means I’d be stuck with Exynos which I hate (sold my s22u 18 months after getting it). I wouldn’t get the ultra because the squared shape with a flat screen will look ridiculous and uncomfortable to hold.

Tbh, I expected more this year.
    Nothing major.
My S21 Ultra still holds it's own against my sibling's S23 Ultra apart from the integrated S pen.
Seems like phone manufacturers are focusing more on AI than hardware upgrades which is fine but after 3+ years, I would expect way better hardware than my current S21 Ultra.
No battery, charging speed, camera sensor size, RAM, or design upgrade (compared to S23 Ultra).
At least give us more Pro video features like LOG, Higher bit depth/codec, ability to shoot 24fps outside of Pro mode (like iPhone does), smoother transition between different cameras & better portrait video & ability to control depth of field after shooting. iPhone wins in this department.
Maybe even better slow motion like 4K 120fps or something.
This feels like buying the same phone again.
Oh, and Samsung, please give us the damn charger in the box. This whole environment movement is just an excuse to cut corners.
Im pretty sure me ordering a charger from Amazon does more damage to the environment than you just including it in the box.
I'm very happy with my S21 Ultra tbh as it works flawlessly & has another major Android update along with security updates and will wait till S25 Ultra or maybe even S26 Ultra depending on how the aging battery health holds up.
Crazy that I don't feel FOMO with this which I normally do with the "latest & greatest" tech.

I'm considering a jump from Red Magic 6s Pro to S24U. S23U may be cheaper but the flat display in S24U is way more useful and secure IMHO (nominally as bright as Pixel 8 Pro too!).
My BF has been extremely disappointed with S22U, mostly because of the One Ui optimization. Also, the digitizer of his S22U broke (completely, only the S-Pen worked) after having accidentally bumped into a lady in an underground passage. Luckily, the phone got repaired within warranty and he was able to sell it.
Coming back to RM 6s Pro, Snapdragon 888+ is still enough for my needs but I'd love to upgrade the camera, display to HDR and have a backup device for notes in case I don't want to take my iPad mini with me. Also, I can see some periodical display artifact (a green line), the internal fan was dead after about 2 years of use, SIM tray broke very quickly and I suspect the SIM slot has given up 2 days ago too. So high time for an upgrade I guess...
If you happen to know some S24U deals in the EU, please let me know.
