Welcome to everyone! This entire process took about 2 hours due to this lady had totally eaten the media and I was going to do as little damage as possible to maintain those gorgeous roots. Update on how she is doing will be in future Sharry Baby updates......🌺😍💜

Wow!! 😅 orchid grower dreams and 'nightmares'? With a vigorous root system like this, a trim isn't going to hurt. It is daunting though, but it will also be a better climate in the pot. What an amazing orchid 👍🏼👍🏼😍

Howdy doody my friend! She did have a root system in that pot, no? I only hope that I was gentle enough (spending a couple hours) so as not to have her set beck. So far she is showing no signs - 😀. Appreciate your visit and hope to see you again soon! 🌸❤️👋

Thank you Kathleen! I knew that there were going to be roots, but I was not expecting ROOTS!!!! I am glad that I took my time though and did as little damage as possible to help her with the repotting. I am eyeballing her everyday expecting a set back, but so far so good after a week. But time will tell. Nicole is confident that she will bloom, so I am expecting her to bloom 😂 Enjoy your weekend and I appreciate you dropping in for another video session. 🌺💜 Looking forward to seeing you again soon!

I have lots of clay pots in the garden but never used clay pots with orchids. You did a great job and the root system of that orchid is fabulous 👌❤️

Good day Fernanda 🌞 I have to agree with you on those roots. They are just fantastic! Hard to imagine that I was able to save what I did. I have started putting my cattleya in clay pots for additional weight on the bottom. Appreciate you dropping in. 😀 have a great rest of your weekend 🌸

You did such an amazing job! Can you believe she was a seedling (from a plug) last summer? I'm still amazed at how quickly she grew that root system. I would've done the same thing and cut through her, otherwise it's a full day affair, and roots get damaged anyway. Oncidiums are the most labor intensive.

Hey Nicole! I got sunburn on my neck I was outside so long washing that root system. It really broke my heart to have to cut the bottom. Amazing growth for a year, AND from seedling size! I am a bit scared of what she will do once she gets settled into my environment. But whatever she decides, there will be room made to accommodate her! Appreciate you coming over for a bit. Have a wonderful weekend 😍🌺

Hello again, Andrea! This Onc. Sharry Baby 'Red Fantasy' was a gift and I received her in this clay pot. She was only in there for a year, and Nicole purchased her as a seedling. So the strength in this one is very good. I am excited and apprehensive to watch her fill up this new pot. Maybe she will take two years to do so - otherwise I will need to do this again in a year! Enjoy your day and thank you for coming by for another video. Much appreciated! 🌸
