    I met Petula Clark about four or five years ago at the Riviera theater near Buffalo New York, people waiting outside for her autograph , When she found out people are waiting outside, she told her handlers to let them all and have a impromptu meet and greet where she’s proceeded to sign everybody’s albums, CDs and pictures. As well as pose with everybody, she is a great class act

    • @SayItAintSo4real
      @SayItAintSo4real Год назад +2

      Kim de Koning Mmm, actually, he did especially in his hometown and Memphis. Being from the area myself, I can tell ya that he absolutely did. It wasn't a big deal. Everyone involved would know it was just for fun, no strings attached. It was common knowledge that he had one-night-stands all over the country. He didn't love any of them in a romantic kind of way, but did what was pretty normal for ppl on the road to do back then, and yes, just like today. It's nothing new under the sun! And most entertainers' wives know this, too. Priscilla "dealt with it", "accepted it." She knew she was his one and only, but... there was so much other difficult stuff going on with him, with his health, and some of the pharmaceutical medications that he became addicted to and etc., until Priscilla just finally was done with it all. Elvis eventually had trouble with getting addicted to some pharmaceuticals. And it was so sad. And the time frame that Petula is talking about here, when she and Karen met Elvis is spot on, exactly in the time frame of Elvis' partying ways. There are way too many ppl who knew about this in his traveling entourage and hometown. Think whatever you want, but when it comes to one-night-stands with one or more people (women in this case) available, mmm, yeah. It was the Seventies after all. Honestly, Elvis was known for this esp by those in or affiliated in some way with his inner circle.

    • @SayItAintSo4real

Elvis, they don't know much about the type of woman he was attracted to physically (I only know thru' extensive reading in books by those who knew him). And she was from "the burbs" and was especially still naive about such things. Lol. I think it's sweet. Everything went just fine. It does seem unlikely based on the woman that Elvis was normally linked with romantically. Petula and Karen wouldn't appear to fit the profile. Most of their beauty was internal, although outward beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Shelley Fabares, who did more than one movie with Elvis, would seem to be a more likely target of interest for him. When interviewed Shelley said that he was always a perfect gentleman.
