Ford had fun in his life. Good. He didn't need to have a crappy time. He related a lot of good role model energy as far as I'm concerned. Only in modern times do people see strong male identity as something to criticize. He related more solid fatherly vibes in his brief role in Superman than most actors do in a lifetime. Glenn Ford was the perfect every man counter to the loud and ruthless ideal the Nazis pushed on the world. Glenn Ford proved you could be strong and decent at the same time.
Great actor and the camera loved him. There's something quite engaging about Ford, and he's still the best Papa Kent (Superman) on screen. That death scene beats Costner's by a country mile.

In Hollywood they used to say "in like Flynn" in reference to Errol Flynn's conquests. I wonder how Flynn and Ford compared to each other in the realm of romantic achievements?
I grew up watching Ford on TV, films and it was common knowledge of his long affair with Hope Lang they made a few films together, the best Pocket Full Of Miracles-TCM host spoke about the Lang/Ford affair and told Hope Lang left her husband and kids to marry Ford, but the marriage never happened.
@@FactsVerse his best was Tea House of the August Moon-his films with Rita Hayworth Gilda/Affair in Trinidad, Love is a ball with Hope Lang, many don't know but Ford served 20 years in the Navy reserve, but he was great in military comdys Imitation General, Don't go near the water, Advance to the rear, I also like his tv show a modern western Cades County.
Ford was also the fastest gun in Hollywood. They say he was never bested but Jerry Lewis and oddly enough Sammy Davis Jr. We’re his only real competition.
Who would have thought that Glenn Ford had such an itch that needed 140 women to scratch. His relationship with Rita Hayworth reminded me of how Spencer Tracy's relationship with Katherine Hepburn was rather similar. Tracy and Hepburn were having an affair that lasted for years but Tracy refused to divorce his wife to marry Hepburn because he was raised as a Catholic and divorce was prohibited by the church. Yet he had no problem with committing adultery with his co-star many times over the years. Go figure.
Kathryn Hepburn was a full blown lesbian, had a full blown skin condition and was despised to work with, Tracey hated her better than thou attitude. The whole thing was pure fiction.
Appearantly once got arrested by the Law, as a mistaken identity....As they thought that they had arrested John Dillinger to who Glen Ford has a very accurate uncanny similar appearance.
I knew Merv Griffin was gay before Gay was even a term I think. I was really young at the time but felt he was hiding something. I also knew Rosie was too, long before she came out, now I’m waiting for a most prominent woman to come out of the closet Always thought Glen Ford was adorable besides a super talent and one of the most versatile. But never knew he was such a beast❤
Great respect and admiration for Glenn Ford. I only managed 88 different lovers in my lifetime and none of them were actresses. But most of them were pretty hot. My dogs ashes are on the mantle with a note to mix them with my ashes when I leave. Also admire how he cared about Rita Hayworth in her time of need. Rita was gifted a 1941 Lincoln Continental from Orson Welles, and a 1953 Ghia Cadillac from Prince Aly Khan after caught with Joan Fontaine. I saw that beauty at a Santa Barbara car show. Fidelity and marriage are definitely not in human DNA. Have fun, enjoy life.
I'm almost afraid to ask but ..... How and why would you keep the exact count of that many affairs, genius ? Or was your mother keeping track for you ?
@@FactsVerse 3:10 to Yuma, A Time for a Killing I liked westerns/horses to see the horses actors rode. I didn’t see his earlier movies. His son Peter Ford was in some of them. Also in that time was the great Ben Johnson, who was a true rodeo competitor. As to stars that can really ride, “sit a horse”, Robert Duvall, Gene Hackman & Kevin Costner. Too young to know Ford was a ladies man. I paid more attention to the star’s horses.

We're very happy to know that you're a fan of Glenn. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts. Which of his roles appealed to you the most?
@@FactsVerse his best was Tea House of the August Moon-his films with Rita Hayworth Gilda/Affair in Trinidad, Love is a ball with Hope Lang, many don't know but Ford served 20 years in the Navy reserve, but he was great in military comdys Imitation General, Don't go near the water, Advance to the rear, I also like his tv show a modern western Cades County.
Affairs with 146 women? I'm surprised he had time to get out of bed and make movies.
Wow, Warren Beatty eat your heart out
Gee whiz. If true, even Elvis would have been jealous of that trophy case.
Also Warren Beatty
....and Mickey Rooney
I had no idea. He was a wonderful actor. I was never interested in his or anyone's life. Nevertheless, it was interesting.
never was a fan of Glen Ford but A Big fan of Eleanor Powell
As was I.....and Ford was a terrible husband to Miss Powell, a complete control freak.....see the video on her life on RUclips
My mother's favorite
Actor, that's I got my
First name.
Who cares,the guy made
Some good Movies"
Glad to know that your mother is a fan of Glenn. How about you?
And everyone thinks Elvis was a lover!?
One of my favorite actors !
Glad to know that you're a fan of Glenn. Thank you so much for sharing this. If we may ask, which of his roles appealed to you the most?
He’s a favorite. Doesn’t get the credit he is due.
Underrated I think, strangely for my age group I remember him first as Superman's Earth Dad.
Was looking for this comment, thanks !
This video is so important thanks ,
You're very much welcome! We're glad to know that you love our video. If we may ask, which of Glenn's roles appealed to you the most?
No I did not know the Glenn Ford had any affairs ,eye opening
8 minutes is nowhere near long enough to list them all.
Obviously it was important to him he kept score 🥺
Never cared for Ford, now Richard Widmark that's another story
Both great actors.
Ford was also the fastest gun in Hollywood. They say he was never bested but Jerry Lewis and oddly enough Sammy Davis Jr. We’re his only real competition.
All I know is that Glenn had very good taste in women! Also he probably died a very happy man.
Go figure.
"they that do such things shall not enter the Kingdom of God. Some joke about this, but once you are done ... it is suddenly very serious

It is sad that many people do not understand that or maybe they do not care.
Very sad.
Kathryn Hepburn was a full blown lesbian, had a full blown skin condition and was despised to work with, Tracey hated her better than thou attitude. The whole thing was pure fiction.
@@gavanhillebold3131 i could never understand the attraction about her, either physical or otherwise.
When I was young, I often heard that I looked like Glenn Ford.
Who said it, Rita Hayworth ??
Appearantly once got arrested by the Law, as a mistaken identity....As they thought that they had arrested John Dillinger to who Glen Ford has a very accurate uncanny similar appearance.
I knew Merv Griffin was gay before Gay was even a term I think. I was really young at the time but felt he was hiding something. I also knew Rosie was too, long before she came out, now I’m waiting for a most prominent woman to come out of the closet Always thought Glen Ford was adorable besides a super talent and one of the most versatile. But never knew he was such a beast❤
How did u know he was gay (Merv Griffin") thought he was married with children !
Merv Griffin was a gearbox?
Beautiful words, thank you for your message for Glenn. In your opinion, what is his finest film?
I'm almost afraid to ask but .....
How and why would you keep the exact count of that many affairs, genius ?
Or was your mother keeping track for you ?
@@ccdogpark 😂🥳
146 Romances ? ; My Hero !
Warren Beatty eat your heart out
Fascinating
140 affairs. Wow He lived a long Blessed career and life. 90 yrs young. No wonder they said Glenn was never Bored. His Hobbies kept him very busy.
Actully never thought him to be that way I always saw him as Mr. Straight.
That thumbnail GIGGITY GIGGITY GOO OH YEAH 😍🤩🥰😛😛😛😛
He was a great actor.
Couldn't agree more! Thank you for sharing your views on this. In your opinion, what is Glenn's finest role?

3:10 to Yuma, A Time for a Killing
I liked westerns/horses to see the horses actors rode.
Great actor, but with 146-odd documented affairs, he must have been a great "performer" too.😁
So he had a lot of girlfriends. Since when is this a problem? Good on him.
I was named after him. Ha was one of my mother's favorite actors.
