I'm about to ruin my weekend on pinterest making a mood board. I do like the ranges you have between masc fem and casual formal. I might use athletic versus stoic to describe how much movement i'm planning on doing. "if i can't climb a tree in it, it's not worth wearing" vs "if i can't sit in the shade and feel better than everyone while i sip wine, it's not worth wearing"

I love how intellectual your personal style gets. It's calm and straightforward, but also deeply insightful in an approachable way! You've got a new fan over here.

really love the point you made about style change as you are transitioning into your 30s (as someone who's turning 30 this year as well) and I really like the question you asked on "why do you prefer ___ over ___?" because our answers can speak volumes about a person's attitude and beliefs

I love the chart idea, I made one for myself that has 3 axes and it was so useful! It actually encompassed almost ALL of my “aesthetics”/themes!

hearing you talk about dressing for your actual lifestyle and about different takes on workwear is so helpful :) i’ve worked in a woodshop for almost a year now, and i’ve had to relearn how to dress myself because so much of what I wore before just doesn’t stand up to the demands of a physical job! but I’d still like to dress in a way that fits with how I’m most comfortable presenting… I think city boy summer is the way

I think, what's in your wardrobe right now gives a big hint of what your personal style is. (With some expections: like mom's favourite or sale-item which doesn't really fit and so on) You automatically gravitate towards it. I prefer classics with a twist. My last buy was a striped dress shirt (a coop between Mango and Victoria Backham) with an open back. I love it and will rock it till the end. I love how you sort it out and try to make the best of what you own!

I think girls wearing masculine fits looks really good - there's a paradox here in that it emphasizes their femininity through contrast - whereas girls who wear overtly feminine clothes can look like they are trying to hard - almost drag queenish. Men on the hand can look really good rocking the patterns and colourways often reserved for female clothing as it emphasises a confidence in one's masculinity. Love your 'street photographer' look btw.

As a sucker for a quality ribbed cotton of course I looked this up. But is it mens or women sizing?? They don’t have any size Small either, I don’t think a men’s Medium would fit me as snugly as I like a ribbed tank to /: such a bummer
