    5 Things I HATE About My Suzuki SV650X

    The retro aesthetics of the 3th generation SV was not of my taste, but my brother bought one and I started using it... A few days later I was in love with this bike. It has the perfect balance of enough power but absolutely manageable. It is perfect balanced, linear and precise power delivery, crazy predictable, reliable and all-encompassing. So easy on traffic and so fun on twisty roads and highways. I bought the bike from my brother and use it now almost every day. Love it!

    I agree 100% brother. I’m certainly biased but i was lucky enough to pick an sv650s in 2011 as my first bike. Lost that in an accident, got an sv650 naked. That got stolen.
    Now I ride a 650 Vstrom. This engine Is too good and I love Suzukis simple reliable approach to bikes. It makes the soul happy.
    Maybe one day I’ll try the bigger brother 1037cc v twin

      @mdjalo9527 2 года назад +4

      Try to practice in a empty parking lot the slow riding.
      In 3 days you will feel the diference, if you can practice for 7 days or more you'll feel the bike much more lighter, u turns easier, etc. If you have a grass area you can even ask for help and lay down the bike and try to lift it.

    • @IMisterNobody
      @IMisterNobody 2 года назад +2

      I have the same bike too, I personally dont find it heavy. But I still feel what your saying, I would advice to maybe try to use more counter weight. (You know where the bikes leans right, and your body is to the left). And maybe even use bit a rear brake.

    Put a 170/60 rear on it for better cornering

    • @LukebeingLuke
      @LukebeingLuke 2 года назад +1

      The bike came with a reason with a 160 rear tire. That was what suzuki thought was best. Secondly, a bigger tire will theoreticly worsen the cornernig because you need to overcome a wider tire when switching leaning from one side to the other side. Not making the front wider too can make the bike inbalanced to the rear tire. Yes, there is more tire, so flatter leans will be a bit easier to handle (when front and rear match up). 170 isnt the biggest of changes but it isnt one that will make the SV handle better!

    • @bhok1971
      @bhok1971 2 года назад +1

      @@LukebeingLuke sure did on mine! 180 was terrible but the 5 inch rim needs a 170 imo. Oh well

    A piece of advice: Sell the X and buy the plain SV650. The clip-ons ruin the experience.
    The suspension is a bit crappy, though, contrary to what you say. My advice is don't make any youtube videos or make videos about something you know. Some people rely on youtube videos to make choices (their fault, really) and should not be getting opinions of people who don't know what they're talking about.
    Still, I liked your video so it averages out with the very deserved dislike I added to your other SV video you posted. You're welcome.

    • @charlesbynum
      @charlesbynum 11 месяцев назад

      It never occurred to you that someone might buy an X because they wanted clip-ons and front preload adjustment? A piece of advice: Yours aren't the only opinions that matter.
      I've found that with practice I can easily distinguish those who know what they're talking about from those who are mostly pretense.

    What about the Triumph Trident 660?

    • @TopshelfJunior
      @TopshelfJunior 2 года назад +1

      Trident is a solid bike but, Triumph's have problems so to speak. They are not as bulletproof as the SV and the Trident has only been made since the past 2years. The SV650 engine and system has been going since 1999. They have it figured out and dialed in ! TANK !

    • @Farhan_049
      @Farhan_049 2 года назад

      @@TopshelfJunior I get that. It's Suzuki after all.
      You see, a RUclipsr from my country uploaded a review of the Trident and called it "the closest thing to owning a superbike". It is quite cheap compared to other bikes of similar engine displacements. So, when I saw this, I started wondering how it'd compare to the Trident.
      Me personally? I'm gonna wait for the Ultraviolette F-77. I'm not a fan of loud engines, unless it's a Mustang!😂
