you must be the only rider on this planet considering the sv650 the worst bike...actually many consider it the best bike ever made for the money and has a legion of enthusiasts around the world.
Garbage, worst bike?!? The kickstand? Grow up. I’ve been riding sport bikes for 40 years. Currently have an SV650X turned into a single seat cafe racer. It was half the price of superbikes. The motor design may be 20 years old but it’s bullet proof. In three years I have 60,000 Kms and zero issues. No clutch cable issues (maybe your shifting will improve with experience), and I don’t park my bike indoors on a tile floor! Just ride and enjoy….
Been riding for over 20 years and my biggest mistake was selling my 2nd gen and ten years later nothing filled it's spot so I bought the 2022 and don't regret it at all. Still want another 2nd gen
1 - Dashboard - Clean and concise. Not flashy, not modern. Just plain and functional as it should be. 2 - Clutch - A bit spongy, maybe. But it works great, the gearbox is smooth, easy neutral. It just works and it works well. 3 - Wheelies - Instead of praising the V2 for how amazing it is, you focus on what motorcycles are not supposed to do. You want to seem cool to yourself, by all means, get another bike. But wheelies are not what bikes are made for. 4 - Kickstand - You're nitpicking so hard that you have to go into this? Plus, it's not a problem at all. 5 - Brakes - I'll give you that. They're definitely not the best. Does any of this make it a bad bike? Not really. But what about talking about fuel consumption, the perfect torque curve, the flatness of the power curve, the build quality... I mean, the things that actually make a bike good or bad? Sorry, dude. You are entitled to your opinion, but you should keep it to yourself because this video shows how little you know about motorcycles, how much experience you lack, and how much of a flasher you seem to be. 63 likes and mine is going to be the first dislike? That's weird...
And the bike I'm taking about was the 1980. Simple tough no issues and it moved good the moter looks close to a intruder engine suzuki bikes a very reliable machines
I have the same bike 2020 model 1. I got no problem with the clutch and i have over 20000 km and its still on same place. 2. The display its good for the money and the bike is meant to be old school looking one . 3. Kickstand yea leaves marks but you can fix that with putting those small shoes on it 🤣 4. Brakes are quite good on mine and not so woody as you said and for the front you can adjust it easy. The only thing that i dont like on the sv650x its it quite heavy bike 200+ kg
There is absolutely nothing wrong with the dash. This review is BS. Buy a more expensive bike if you want electronics. The clutch is perfect also. Are you new?
I rode a gen 1 sv650s 500 miles around Wales. I can tell you it was absolutely beautiful to ride. Never skipped a beat. It's 22 years old. Very comfortable and I don't know what you're talking about 🧐😝
Literally the most petty 1st world complaints I've ever heard. It is a budget category motorcycle. I did not hear a single complaint about mechanical durability regarding the engine or transmission. No the clutch cable stretch does not count. You can't compare a 20k triumph to a 8k Suzuki. Especially when the Suzuki engine will last 50k miles past the triumph.
Clickbait video. If anyone want to really know about these topis from someone who actually owns the motorcycle, and use it HARD, read bellow: 1. Dashboard: Before sh** on the SV one, go check how many bikes today have issues with those lame tablet looking TFT dashboards, cracking, having faulty touch or even better getting stolen because they are so pricy in some countries. If you want something that will last, you can't go wrong with "simple" lcd. Besides all the info you need, it´s clear looking in any position regarding the sun. This is something that falls into the section "it's not necessary to reinvent the wheel"... 2. Clutch adjustment: Simple "issue" that happens to many v2, or any other bike that vibrates a lot, you can either further tighten the adjustment or use a drop of threadlocker. My last adjustment (w/o threadlock) was 5k miles ago and still doing fine! 3. Wheelie: V engines in general are not for wheeling, you wanna stunt, go for inline engines. That being said, no, casual wheelie won't brake this bike. 4. Kickstand: How bad of suzuki to make a kickstand that actually works in every terrain? Try to use your sensible kickstand that doesn't sctrach the floor in sand or gravel. This shouldn't even be an issue, at this point the video creator is just desperate looking for something to complain... Like other person said, maybe don't park your bike in the living room? 5. Brakes: A simples change from the original pad to better one is enough. And this is not bad if the person uses the bike in a smooth way, because the original pads last forever! SV is the GOAT of motorcyles. There is always better quality/finish/accessories but I wanna see you get one with the SV price, and being as much reliable as it is. Hit me one motorcycle that you can pick it stock, push it HARD for 20k miles without needing to adjust valve clearance!! Mention a single bike in the SV price range that you can just dress a fairing and sport footpegs and stay just behind 600cc on a track... Give me one 200kg motorcycle that even using "simple" suspension can jump at high speed or take bumps in turns without needing a steering damper!! Better yet, give me one single bike model that, after 20 f*** years, remained to its roots, both in design and engine. If you still think all this is BS, you better off with the new 2cylinder honda hornet...
As soon as I heard 'wheelies' I knew watching the rest was going to be a waste of time. I was right. Kickstand? If you're parking it in you living room this might be a problem but for the rest of us...no. And the final reason the bike is the worst bike ever made? The brakes....which we learn are...and I quote......'great' (03:15) and/or 'fine' (03:40).

It's on the cheap side for a full-size bike, it's quite old in terms of specs and features, built to a budget and even so, the SV650's reputation is good. It kinda brings discredit to your own channel to call it the worst ever made.

Just an update the bike I landed up with is the unrestricted 2024 SV650. The bike has been absolutely brilliant and as someone who’s over 60 and hasn’t ridden for sometime it’s been a real treat with the handling and the power being more than enough to keep me happy. Still exploring the dash but like the rest of the bike it’s been great.
incorrect on oil starvation. it's not about tilting the cylinder it's about oil starvation. not fixed because the oil pickup is in the same spot as its ever been
Just bought one of these bikes on reputation and bullet proof design. From watching your beginning and from the comments I’m going to pass on the rest.
I have 29,000 miles on my 2022 SV. I never had to adjust my clutch cable once. It's my first bike so it's all I know. But I plan on putting 100k+ mile on it and can't imagine ever selling it. I'm in love.
Proud owner of an SV650x and Bandit 600S. What weak 'arguments'. My SV650x is always in the garage, no scratches on my floor. Buy a decent tile. The argument about the dashboard... Who on earth cares about that? Clearly readable, that's the most important. Feedback from the brakes is average, certainly not bad. And no, of course you don't buy an SV to do a wheelie. Buy an MT07 instead.

Dude...for this entire vid, you have been 'riding your clutch' with your hand....and you then proceed to complain about frequent 'clutch adjustments" ?? Self awareness...it's a thing, friend. Keep your fingers on the handgrip and STOP riding/dragging the clutch!! Sheesh.
He's right about the clutch though - mine also vibrates out of adjustment every ~1000km. Easily fixed though - just retighten it every now and then or maybe use some loctite. All in all an awesome bike.
Lousy review, in all reviews that i watched, you're the only one who says sv650 is not a good buy while everyone says its a very nice bike for its range 😂
1. Dash is same most of japanese motorbikes in this category. Also some bmw and triumph. use simular dashes… 2. Nothing wrong with the clutch. 3. For the wheelies why u get a more than 200kg motorbike with a v2? For that get a ninja 400 or gsxr. Yes they are more money. 4. I have no idea whats your problem with the brakes. I did my bike test on the sv650 the bike was great, powerfull have a great sound and the brakes are perfect for me. Personal opinion better than the kawasaki z650. I dont know the kickstand issues. Never noticed. This is a very reliable, bit heavy but very stable bike with great value for the money. Cehck videos with this bike and yoshimura exhaust. Omg thats amazing.
interesting how nobody talks about the seat. It has no business being so hard, and that combined with basic forks has driven me away from this bike. THere is one in the local suzuki dealership with a heavy discount and it's been collecting dust for a year now.
So, 20% of your negative comments refer to the scratches on your floor. Maybe you should do a review of flooring companies and their products and leave the bike reviews to people who know what they're talking about.
@@TrustyZ900 Well read my opinion about it. You might see them as having a great feel but compared to something like a full brembo 4 pot with agressive pads and steel braided brake lines they would feel numb in comparision. Hence something feeling like its wooden.
Everyone has their own opinion and if we were all the same then the whole world would be so dull just because you don't like it doesn't mean someone else is going to agree with you I love them and they are fantastic for the price you can get a second hand one and by the time people get one most problems have been fixed
I've had this bike for 2 years the only true point made wake brakes thats why I upgraded them. The kickstand is metal bro be careful and the clutch hasn't messed with me in 5k miles plus I bought it used. Decent vid bad points
Point well taken, but the list of greatest Japanese bikes ever is so long that it's standing room only competition. Just Honda alone would show up with the Cub and the Super Cub in 50 cc's to 150 cc's have sold over 100 million units! And then you have the CB750, the Honda goldwing elbowing their way into the room. And every other Japanese maker would have contenders, including the SV650, of course.
Dash could certainly do with an update but it's a budget motorcycle. Clutch adjustment is a you problem based on how much you are slipping the clutch. Wheelies? That's one of your points, really?! Kickstand is again a you problem that I have never heard before and I sell Suzuki Motorcycles. Ridden many bikes and find the SV650 to have really good brake feel and feedback.
Nah, it even leaves scratch marks on our stone driveway, the OEM brake pads leave alot of feel to be desired and that comes from somebody who mainly goes a bit more spirited on the streets. I think they upgraded the front brakes to true 4 pots somewhere after 2020, which could improve the brake feel without needing any aftermarket bits and bobs...
Your top worst top 5 Are sock. Like scratches from side stand on the floor, really? Bad brakes? Put your brake lever from 1 to next one and try. About clutch - advice your stupid nechanic to tight it up down by engine part and not by hand part of clutch. Next Reasons why it sucks are poor too....probably you ride that bike just a little. Try it longer, get a back exhaust off in a two minutes by Allen key, take SV downtown for a ride....shift from 1st to 6th in 5 second and you will be know in your neighborhood for years. Try to Ride other 650 2 cylindr 140 mph on 11000 RPM and than you will realise about a quality.
Yoo man, korte vraagje.Ik volg je sinds je R125 video’s maakt,en zag een video waarin je je achterband breder hebt gemaakt. Ik heb momenteel 2023 versie en wil het zelfde doen, wat voor voordelen en nadelen had je met de bredere achterband??
The dash is ok, they could have half assed a color display but you would need your phone anyways since a full size display with navigation is just not going to happen for this price because of greed. Clutch thing +1, this really is anoying.
If you also ride with your fingers resting on the clutch lever, like the dude in this vid, should you really be surprised about having to frequently adjust the clutch?? Do you drive your manual transmission car with your foot resting on the clutch pedal?? No?? Exactly.
You must have not riden very many bikes and they must have been all newer bikes over 10k. Never had the clutch problem and you can ride wheelies just not for a mile.
New generation bikers ! haha :D . Buy any bike and come with me any corners or serpentine (i use one sv650). You would go home crying after it. It may not be perfect maybe, . There is no electronics that replaces knowledge. Have a Nice day, boy ;) . Maybe you can say goodbye, provided you catch up :D .
Woody brakes? What are you talking about? Are you aware that all the other similarly priced japanese bikes have similar brakes? Or are you expecting Brembo quality for half the price? Jeeesus...
As far as I can tell they didn't even start taking the SV650 until 1999, at least in the USA. I don't think it was ever the fastest bike even in the 600cc category. But my SV650 is pretty fast, it's right quick through the turns and up the mountain.
VStrom owner here. Clutch, yeah it’s not good. Brakes, worse again. Kickstand, scratches dirt, it’s such bastard. These are not wheelie bikes, not intended in that problem. And I like my old gen one dash. Pure. Simple. Functional.
So... nothing more, but your taste in bikes! You had zero objectivity in your analysis! I like blondes more than brunettes.....does that make blondes better women?? Grow up!
The braking part is legit! For the longest time I've had my bike, I cannot express the correct term of how it feels, but you've worded it now. It provides little to no feedback at all so I'm either braking too light, or braking too hard. It is quite difficult to brake "just right", especially when trail braking. Regarding the clutch though, I did not have that same issue on my '20 SV650A.
Eh get some sinter pads+ braided steel lines if you want better feel. Right now I got brembo sinter pads front and rear and they increased the feel by alot over the stock ones

Brakes: They stop the bike 👍
wow!! Thank you Suzuki 🤣
interesting how nobody talks about the seat. It has no business being so hard, and that combined with basic forks has driven me away from this bike. THere is one in the local suzuki dealership with a heavy discount and it's been collecting dust for a year now.
I like my Corbin seat upgrade but I also recommend seat concepts seats
So, 20% of your negative comments refer to the scratches on your floor. Maybe you should do a review of flooring companies and their products and leave the bike reviews to people who know what they're talking about.
Woody? Really... out of all the possible words you chose woody🙈🤣
he likes woody
@@Pikachu-om4pc 🤣🤣
It would mean wood like in German/dutch I assume, its used alot when talking about tires which arent great when cold though
I've heard that term many times. WTF? They say my z900RS brakes have a wooden feel. They're excellent and so are the brakes on my new SV.
The Suzuki Sv650 is the greatest motorcycle built by Japan, from a copied Italian design and outsold the original bike they copied.
It's not the video it's just a kid complaining about scratches on the title. Just choice reviews from real men.
Never buy an SV650 from 2003 because rain will go in the front cylinder lots of electrical problems come with it.
Yoo man, korte vraagje.
The dash is ok, they could have half assed a color display but you would need your phone anyways since a full size display with navigation is just not going to happen for this price because of greed.
Clutch thing +1, this really is anoying.
I’ve installed “Magura” Hydraulic clutch. What a difference! Can operate by using one-two fingers.
If you also ride with your fingers resting on the clutch lever, like the dude in this vid, should you really be surprised about having to frequently adjust the clutch??
Do you drive your manual transmission car with your foot resting on the clutch pedal?? No?? Exactly.
All I can hear is bla bla bla, worst? Garbage? Tremendous terms for such simple things, either you're a bad owner or the bike turned out bad, period.
Rick Diaz if he was a motorcycle enthusiast and not a comedian
These are the stupidest reasons ever. I have an sv650x and never had an issue with any of these.
Ok..i have my new now 3 Mounts..now it is by the Saddler, the Seat is not comfort. too hard,i slide..
So at the end of the video we found out it's a clickbite title. Cool, punch-face.
It must be Opposite Day haha
22.000 views. 96 likes. Hahaha. I have a SV650X 2018. You have no idea what you are talking about sadly
And unfortunately, RUclips won't show the thumbs down anymore. I know I gave him one!
You must have not riden very many bikes and they must have been all newer bikes over 10k. Never had the clutch problem and you can ride wheelies just not for a mile.
The most ignorant comments I have heard. Go talk to yourself in the mirror,- that way you will have one person who agrees with your opinions.🙊🙊
Nice video to get views. It’s not the worst bike ever made. Not even close.
I'm only here for the comments, after I gave the video, which I didn't watch, a thumbs down!😂
Where do you put your microphone? inside of your helmet?
Yes i do
@shawnfist2665 Maybe he should put it somewhere else?
😂worst nitpicking I've seen. 3 small things makes it the worst bike?
New generation bikers ! haha :D . Buy any bike and come with me any corners or serpentine (i use one sv650). You would go home crying after it. It may not be perfect maybe, . There is no electronics that replaces knowledge. Have a Nice day, boy ;) .
Maybe you can say goodbye, provided you catch up :D .
Woody brakes? What are you talking about? Are you aware that all the other similarly priced japanese bikes have similar brakes? Or are you expecting Brembo quality for half the price? Jeeesus...
I have heard multiple people refer to the brakes as "woody" I'm pretty sure YammieNoob said the exact same thing.
My buddy told me the 1980 sv 650 was the fastest bike made for 3 years
As far as I can tell they didn't even start taking the SV650 until 1999, at least in the USA. I don't think it was ever the fastest bike even in the 600cc category.
But my SV650 is pretty fast, it's right quick through the turns and up the mountain.
😭 I keep my wheelies to 45 seconds or less anyway 😭.........
The bike is limited through the ECU which is found under the passenger seat.
Wanker! You deserve to walk forever on foot!
You know nothing , get yourself a Cycle or go by feet.
dude changed his mind
Could you please hire somebody that knows how to speak proper English? I don't understand your lingo.
This is the best 650cc 2 cylinder bike for me
there is only one reason why SV650 sucks,,,,,, MT07 exists :D
This guy gets. payed to bullshit thsts why he is so good at it
grow a pair you'll be fine.
Last time I view your work !
VStrom owner here. Clutch, yeah it’s not good. Brakes, worse again. Kickstand, scratches dirt, it’s such bastard. These are not wheelie bikes, not intended in that problem. And I like my old gen one dash. Pure. Simple. Functional.
About the dashboard he is correct
Thank you for the video.
Could you please make a comparison to it's successor gsx-8s?
If I can get my hands on one, i will!
Looks like somebody fishing for attention...
You get what you pay for
So... nothing more, but your taste in bikes! You had zero objectivity in your analysis! I like blondes more than brunettes.....does that make blondes better women?? Grow up!
Why this motorcycle review Chanel Is The Worst Chanel ever.
Just watch the video and you will find out why.
The SV650 is awesome!!! Delete this video man!
lol, lmao. imagine being this off base
Like the engine. Don't like the rest of it. Lol
Styling not for me.
Schwachsinn, da will wohl einer ins Fernsehen!
Whining, Whining, Whining........
Well, at least views and comments..
