Olive wooly bugger is one of my all time favourites for trout super effective
I believe you! Do you tie yours with more or less flash?
Just in time for my fly tying session! 🤟🏽
Nice! Thanks for dropping by. What are you tying today?
@@BryanWentFishingI’m gonna try to get everything in the video tied as well as some zonkers! Hoping to land a nice brown or steelhead this weekend!👍🏽
Sounds like a good plan! Wish you luck this weekend. Let me know how it goes.
Love the San Juan worm and wooly bugger for steelhead. Don’t fish much for resident trout in streams but for steelhead those are a couple of my favourites. Nice looking flies, Bryan. Good luck on opener tomorrow if you go.
Adrian
Thanks Adrian. Yes they definitely work on steelhead, even caught Salmon on them. The Zebra Midge has been extremely productive for me for steelhead the past winter and early spring, I just need to land them to make it official 😅. I might just wait a few days after opener to go out. Are you going out for opener?
@@BryanWentFishing I want to go early morning, probably at the same creek you got those nice browns in the fall. Usually I fish on Huron for opener but this year I might switch it up and hit that creek.
Nice! perfect timing after all the rain we got all week. Wish you luck tomorrow.
San Juan, white zonker, egg pattern for steelhead!
Nymph and dry for trout!
OoOOo the White Zonker is deadly indeed, good pick! I love the fly called "White Death" for Salmon, which is basically a zonker 😅. What's your go-to Nymph for trout when all else fails? Good luck on trout opener!
@@BryanWentFishing I haven't been spend a lot time on trout but last summer i've got some luck on the dries. Also some prince Nymph and pheasant tails! I think the smaller ones like the dries!
