- This technique just might be my favorite way to do Highlights!!!! I felt like a true artist just painting!!! The lightener I am using in this video is INCREDIBLE!!! it will be launched early 2016!!! I am also starting to love Redken's blonde idol base break BUT only leaving it on for like 5 minutes!! +ThatBlondeGirl Mandie I never understand the base breaker, if the highlights are a level 9 /10 doesn't the base breaker your applying have to be lighter than the highlights? otherwise wont it cover the highlights? please explain, thank you mandie, your so pretty too
+sunshine2049 The base breaker is not depositing a color, it is taking the level she is at naturally, and bumping the color up a level or two. like a super mild lightener or clear highlift color. :)

Yes, natural warmth that comes with lifting haircolor. She used one that had a little bit of ash in the formula to cancel out the natural warmth it would otherwise leave behind. Hope that helps!

I spotted lightner on your hair :), happens to me too! The other day, I managed to get colour on my roots and scalp somehow! luckily I'm a natural level 2-3 and the colour was with 10 vol so it didn't lift or show

Her hair looks so pretty I don't see how people think otherwise ,like how can anyone who knows anything about blonde hair think this is bad, the tiny yellow fades after like 3 days nothing purple shampoo can't handle
I understood from the video that the client wanted their hair to be dimensional looking. In my opinion, there’s not enough dimension, and I knew it was gonna be that way, because Mandy didn’t leave enough space between her highlights for dimension. Yes, it’s a beautiful platinum, but I personally think that it’s too high maintenance and unnatural looking. It’s not what the client asked for.

I have a Redken salon and we use only Redken products. Now that it is May 2016, I take that bleach system is part of the Blonde Idol colors?
But where do you get that mixer?. I do have trouble mixing those 2 to 1 or 1 to 1.5, with CC, ounces, etc. The BLonde idol tubes, Pearl or Natural or Beige etc, is 1 to 1. But sometimes the consistency does not seem right.
