What state were you in. I was in the brevard county in Florida
Probably not Alabama, we know that much.
We lost power for 6 hours but that’s it. There were hella tree limbs in the yard but that’s all. We didn’t get much rain which is extremely surprising. Didn’t do much and Charleston got lucky.

This update really just shows that the Sims team really listen to the players. Maybe next we will get SPIRAL STAIRCASES?!

They're only doing this cuz they're scared of Paralives (which has spiral, L shaped, curved, and more stairs). That game literally has everything that every sims player had been complaining about for _years_ and sims is tryna catch up.

Oh wow! I should use the move object cheat more often. I thought everything wouldn't function at all, but it did. Even the bookcase! The second bookcase can be sold and the mirror can be put there instead. Too bad the mirror above the stairs didn't work.
So what you're saying is, with the new pack coming up and the moving stairs, we can now build Hogwarts properly 👀👀

James - all of the videos I've watched of yours so far, you obsess over things being symmetrical or well balanced, even when making wackier builds like this. The two different roofs not meeting at an equal point has my OCD on overdrive. omg
Great build, it might be one of your coolest builds. I'm so happy about this stair update, I just wish we could place railing on only one side of the stairs.
I actually really love this cramped little build. It makes me feel a bit claustrophobic, but I always liked really cluttered, quirky builds for my witch in the sims.

Am I the only one who when James said "let's put another bookcase by the front door in case the other one doesn't work" was thinking - "but...UMBRELLA STAND!". IDK; I always feel like umbrella stands are important by the front door now that we have them. ;) Also, James building is the best ever! Love watching him build - so fun & inspirational! This is a cozy little space man - I'd live there! :D

Finally got the Sims 4 the other day and finished my first build today. Tomorrow I think I will build with the stairs. I know this is so silly but it's just so exciting to finally have a build object this functional and customizable to fit your builds needs.

In the US, we have gardens in our yards. In the UK, even their gardens have gardens.
finally i can make one of my builds i did from a refrence picture right, its almost perfect (with the limitations of the sims in mind) but i could not get the U stairs in there so instead i had to settle for lame straight stares and it stood out so much in a other wise perfect build! i am so happy now :)

This looks so cool! I think I would've put the bedroom with the bathroom upstairs so it's more secluded and then had like a table and a chandelier with a chair in the nook by the kitchen

James, greetings from Dallas, TX. You have been on my mind lately because right next to my job there are building a shake shack. Believe it or not I’ve never been. We do have other locations in Dallas, but it’s never convenient to drive to those locations. Anyways, I can’t wait to try it now! I have no excuse. You always rave about it lol. Also, when I saw the announcement for the “L” shape stairs on the sims, I automatically knew you would be so excited and here we are.

TheSimStop but Its not the same thing. On Sims 2, we could have as many lots as we wanted. Here, we can only have a few. We are not “free” to build our own.

Super cool!! A bed in the kitchen weirds me out lol, but eh, build looks awesome! I can't wait for you to play more with the stairs - you can slide each section to make it shorter/longer (which of course changes the length of the corresponding sections) so there's SO much you could do... I was hoping you would have to click on the stairs and happen to notice while you doing the livingroom. They're going to be SO MUCH FUN to build with!!

I love this. I think I would have tried putting the bed and wardrobe on the top floor and use that little alcove for the caldron (if it would fit and work).
