This looks amazing!! Thanks so much for the shoutout
The bathroom design was too good not to use! And the 2x3 build you did was sick! Nice one
Simarchy I think EVERYONE in the Sims community are going to be doing bathrooms like yours from now on 😁 My mind is blown that you did such a tiny home too! 💖
That 1x1 bathroom is a game changer!
Hi steph!!!
Thanks everyone!!
Me, seeing all the colors in this build: tbt to when James only used black and white 🥺 our boi growing up
Madison Curry he’s trying to use as much from the stuff pack as possible, which is mainly coloured
@@de4830 yeah, but they all have black and white options. it might just be bc it's a trailer home and not a normal contemporary house. however i do believe he's shifted away from only black and white, at least a little.
Are there cars in tiny living
@@justinevans2436 No, but a lot of people fake it with sized up toy cars or debug cars (or cc too)
Ironic how you had to use the university pack to have a shower that works in Tiny Living... like they couldn't include one. They should have included a toilet with a sink on the top of it, at least. And a smaller stove, like a single burner. I hate the full sized stoves because they never use all burners anyway. I like the idea of the Tiny living pack, but they really didn't meet their full potential, as usual.
these are some really good examples of objects, especially the stove. all I'm seeing elsewhere is yelling about ladders and bunk beds
@@zaharozoe Thank you. And, lol, I mean, sure, ladders would be nice I guess, and bunk beds, but that's soooo not what tiny living is all about.
or at least a countertop hot plate type item!!
@@maryjo2978 yesss a hot plate could've even come with university
They will bring another pack out probably. Mire packs, more money
I wanna see someone combine tiny living with the off-the-grid lot trait and try to make a tiny house that is completely functional while off-the-grid as a lot of real tiny homes are.
The issue is that the murphy beds dont work with the off the grid trait
@@nathancreek6086 Sure, and I know murphy beds were the big items for this pack, but you don't _need_ one to make it a tiny build, right? A normal single bed and a chair work off-grid and even take up less space. (Although it would've been nice if they'd added a manual bed/sofa combo. I used to have one)
Most Off the Grid tiny homes have solar power, internet/tv through their cell phone company and water from either delivery, rain collection or being connected to a "main house" (the house who's land they're parked on or from the RV park they're currently in). "Off the Grid" really just means not connected to and/or paying for city utilities.
i tried it and it was horrible. i tried doing simgurufrosts challenge with the 12k budget and all but with off the grid. there are really no ceiling lights that are off the grid that i could find so i was using the vampire candle wall light things and yeah it was super bad, really ugly, functioned but honestly pretty sure my sim wanted to die
Seven Louise this was my first thought too!
We needed a loft bed that can fit a desk or couch underneath and we needed bunk beds.
Bunk beds and loft beds would have been way better and way more versatile!
Normal bunk beds
A loft bed with a couch underneath which ALSO doubles as a bed (pull out!)
Loft bed with a desk and dresser set/bookshelf/entertainment station
Double loft bunk bed?
Double loft bunkbed with space underneath for a dining area?
Yes I love all those ideas !
EA would charge another 60$ for it
sad reee there are cc bunk beds that are super cute and fully functional
This comment didn't age well as far as EA's concerned 😂
i never thought the day would come when James was dethroned from the smallest functional build (the 3x3 one he did a while back)
I made a functional 3x2 home as well a long while ago, inspired by that video. ;) It's on my Sims 4 gallery (SuzytheSimmer). Just made two micro homes, too. They aren't nearly as pretty as James', but I was on a 12k budget, don't have the Tiny Living pack (yet!) and couldn't use bb.moveobjects nor buydebug, (Lilsimsie's challenge) so I'm still pretty proud of how they turned out. :)
Suzanne Romijnders what does the buydebug cheat do?
@@angiecole830 it unlocks hidden world items, most of the time the items are free so its amazing for landscaping on a budget
Xio ok thanks! sorry i’m new to The Sims! and i play on consul unlike most Simmers.
@@angiecole830 Some really good build cheats you could use on console are:
bb.moveobjects
bb.showhiddenobjects
bb.ignoregameplayunlocksentitlement
Those will let you place objects anywhere, buy/debug cheat, and unlocks career rewards.
Btw to open the cheat menu on console in case anyone doesn't know how, you just press both of the bumpers and the triggers on the controller at the same time.
Good luck building! 😊
They should have put a shower like the university one in tiny living too. I use that one all the time, it's so space saving!
Or a shower sink combo. I had one in all of my apartments in Korea. Great for small spaces. That along with a combo kitchen unit would make this pack perfect.
@@enigmaticrose4 or a toilet with a small sink over the water tank. tiny and environmental friendly
F Frai how about both? More options, more cool builds.
University? You mean island paradise?
XVI university has one tile showers. so does island living but it’s a floor shower; university is a wall shower
I looked at your 1 tile bathroom and my first reaction was...jeez, that is so unrealistic. Then I googled caravan bathrooms and yeah...that kinda exists.
My understanding is they're also a big (or rather small) thing in many parts of Asia as well.
I lived in a Japanese house which had a bathroom entirely composed of a toilet and sink fusion with a showerhead in the wall. I had to take showers on the toilet, for better or for worse. It was great when I was sick since I could just take a hot shower sitting down and shitting violently lol
@@StarmenRock ok thats a visual
Ms. Shā Shā parts of London too. Basically anywhere with limited space and lots of people trying to live there.
@@sha46327 yeah, in Hong Kong and many Japanese cities, the average apartment is smaller than the average American bedroom. The buildings are usually laid out with narrow corridors and the apartments averaging 3 or 4 sq m in Hong Kong and Tokyo.
Okay but like this build was amazing, but I'm still mildly annoyed about the lack of ladders. Everyone's talking about the animation of the ladder that came in Island Living, but what about pool ladders? They've been here forever, and we all have played with them (Later removing them, if ya know what I mean)
I'm just going to be thinking about this the rest of the day, pining for what could've been.
Oh man I miss ladders! When sims 3 got them I made so many lofts and treehouse builds. I’m not a great builder but they were still a lot of fun.
I mean they want the sheep to buy ladders as a feature
Maybe it's the height adjusting? Cuz, you know that we have three different wall heights and the stairs change their heights automatically when the walls are raised
Ario Budiarto ladders and stairs have always been separate things though. Ladders are objects, so with different wall heights they could have different ladder heights or just place another ladder above. We get different windows in bigger sizes for taller walls. And now that columns have been updated to raise heights they could reuse that mechanic or just let us add a second ladder above the first.
Maybe Bob and Trash should move here since they clearly can't afford the huge house you make them live in lol
Oh they can afford it, it's just those ridiculously high student loans they have to pay off. Bob is almost done too.

great, even more american stuff...
@@waifu_png_pl6854 people living in caravan parks isn't solely American thing. In Australia there's such thing as 'The Grey Nomads' - retires who travel the country in a caravan. Infact there's many here who do who are in my age bracket (the 35 - 50's) because it's way easier than owning a home and you're able to travel freely if you have family living in two different states.
@@meikahidenori millennials in Australia are even worse off, have to live in a van.
@@moodycxnt don't need to be in that age bracket. With the new government incentives that were announced, anyone between the ages of 35 - 50 have been fobbed off in regard to employers wanting to hire them because they get no money out of it. That's the age bracket that have young families who NEED JOBS just as much as the younger ones. Also women are the worst affected, always been the least supported and are having to be put through the ringer because those in charge in our country are utterly useless in helping those who are in need well before this hit. I live in an rv, and the lot traits are so spot on. My bills are about 400 bucks(usd) a month. My life is so simple whihh leaves so much time and energy for the important stuff! ❤️
I've lived on a sailboat as well as in a suburban, I agree.
The sailboat was much comfier than the suburban though, it's nice to be able to stand up and have a bathroom.
I also lived in a travel trailer for 3 years. My camp site was about $500 (US dollars). All of which included all the utilities (electric, water and sewer) too! Had to go live at mom's place - due to my health.
The RV lifestyle is very nice and simplified! I would love go back to it one day.
@Maiden Minnesota Hey I live in MN too! It's always gets so cold here :( I can't wait for spring and summer! Though I do have to do 100+ parades in the summer. Not excited for that :v
Maiden Minnesota, there are four-season trailers (more r- values in floors and walls). I follow some full timers on YT that sometimes have to go back to the cold (mostly for family reasons (no sane person would prefer it if you had the choice😆), and do fine. Minnesota’s a stretch though 🥴🥶 💁🏻♀️
@Maiden Minnesota I love on canada and lived in a camping trailer for a couple years. Its stays warm if you can afford the propane to heat the place and we bought mini heaters as well. Some people choose to insulate and wrap the bottoms of their trailers as well however we did not.
*James* "I don't know about a chandelier while driving."
*Me* "Oh ho ho! Let me show you my Pinterest boards full of camper/RV remodels!"
Hehe a chandelier would have been fantastic! You can pull the chain up and wrap it before moving ;)
Lol! Yeeessssss
That corner in the kids room is just asking for a plant or something lol
Now THIS is a micro home building challenge I'm here for, an actual challenge to fit everything in the trailer! I think you did a fantastic job, I love the build! 3 people in a micro home deserves a big clap 💪🏻
man, i wish the minifridges would slot into counters :/ good thing the fans picked up the slack and made CC minifridges that go into counter slots
I think Bob and Trash should move into one of the tiny houses for the skill boost.
Make the reno guy repossess the house they are currently at so they have no choice but to move.
That home reminds me of one of those micro apartments in Hong Kong or Japan where there's very little living space and everything is crammed in tightly.
Finally for the first time in months we have a build 🥳
I've been to a restaurant that had tiny little corner sinks in the bathrooms, that look like they should be in a tiny house, and would have been beneficial in this pack, and build for the bathroom! More compact items like sinks and appliances would have really made sense in this pack.
when i was really young, i lived in a trailer home that belonged to my grandpa. It had been there a while and we had rose bushes growing in the front. I was the flower girl at my parent's wedding and we used petals from those bushes to put in my basket.
that’s so nice, 🥺
That bathroom is genius, definitely using it.
I think you would have a problem with your sims getting embarassed all of the time, since there’s no door? I guess you could solve it with the private dwelling lot trait (if that’s how the trait works, I’ve never used it before)
Sara Ghabeli my thoughts too
@@mmmtacobaguett If you have private dwelling lot trait, uninvited sims just can't enter your house. And you don't have to deal with paparazzi if you are celebrity ;)
@@dominikac.5506 the lot is for three people
What I'm most curious about is whether you can clean that shower when it gets dirty! But it is such a brilliant idea!
Ahhh! I've missed your tiny builds and your builds in general. :3
I know, right?
I love the Rags to Riches series, but I subscribed because of the builld videos and I kinda miss those days!
This would be PERFECT for a starter for Get Famous 👀 or just a lot to put in the Get Famous World 😁
James: you could just replace the bed with a toddler bed and it would be fine
Me: but toddlers need a bathtub?
can't they be washed in the sink?
@@TintinaLily no, unfortunately they can't 🙈 toddlers and dogs require a bathtub to get cleaned
You could put a bathtub outside Lmao 😂
@@angelica502x just require the ice-proof reward trait first and all will be good 😂😂

This is my favorite micro build I’ve seen so far. Everyone is doing fantastic but this one is SUPER cool.
James - professional sims youtuber
Also James - *University Life*
5:15 Too be honest - why everyone is forgetting Dish-Washers, they literally leave you whole counter spot, and still allow you to wash your dishes. You don't need sinks in kitchens in Sims 4 - on top of it, people want constantly drink water from it either.
8:25 In my builds, when creating smaller bedrooms like that - some of the kid's bookshelves fit in that area without glitching any interactions. And they give some spots for toys and lamps.
8:30 Technically when I think about it now - you could probably also fit an extra chair at the dining table. Which would be nicer to have for family dinners.
12:55 Toddlers are way more tricky, cause you can't bath them without actual bath. But you do save one more tile for the bed, so technically you can still work around it.
Instead of dishwashers and sink, I like the trashcan that pays you to throw stuff away. I keep telling him to put it in Bob and Trash's house but he hasn't done it yet 🤷🏻♀️
I’m wondering about how the toddler potty will work since it seems to require a fair bit of room in order to teach potty training.
the only thing with dishwashers though is that you need a huge amount of space free in front of them. i'm sure they would work for a lot of builds but for one i did i had to have the table in front of that space and no matter how much i shimmied it around i still couldn't get the dishwasher to work. i had to replace it with a sink and that worked just fine
@@GuyWithoutACamera Thinking about sims not washing their hands gives me so much anxiety considering the fact that I can't even walk into a bathroom without at least washing my hands.
Sometimes the dishwashers don't fit. Sims need space to open and close it and if there's not enough title room they just complain. Been trying to add them into my own tiny home builds, but most of the time it's far easier to add a sink to avoid pathing errors
me: puts toddler on the roof
That's so cute, easier to do "mobile" homes now. The ones I done before are really bulky in comparison 😁
You can always remove the shower and just wash your hands 10 times 🤷🏻♀️
You could have placed a minifridge and place microwave above it.
for what? the shower works and it is much quicker!
@@user-lw5jn2hy9h i reckon they will get embarassed all the time
There is that, but there are two other rooms to send sims into whole one is using the facilities. And the outside/roof area, depending on the weather. And as two people will be a couple, the kid/third sim is really the one to worry about. So it is definitely doable.
Or just add the sponge bath eco-friendly cleaning option from Sims 3, so you could "bathe" in the sink (and then give your toilet the bidet upgrade).
Or u can just use cheat “fillmotive motive_hygiene”
Really wish we had a farming pack so you can put chickens in there and sell eggs for money
That would be so cool!
here from the future
i’ve missed the building videos so much omg
I was rewatching your old build videos and I remembered why I loved them! Please do more building
I remember going for a road trip in Ireland and our trailer (or what we call a static caravan) had 2 bedrooms. I ended up with one that was so tiny it only fit a double bed in the whole room. Was pretty comfy :D
Having/sharing a bathroom like that would drive me nuts! Loved the build overall tho.
This is by far the best micro home I've seen so far! 😍

My birthday in on the 21st of February and I wanted 2 packs for my birthday. University and tiny living were the packs I wanted so thank you for making this perfect build 😂❤️
I think it be cool to put two folding chairs and a cooler on the roof. Just real trailer park stereotype.
This immediately made me think of Dale & Glenn from The Walking Dead. :( RIP

I always love how different your builds from! I love the suburban builds I see all the time (cause my dream is suburbia i suppose) but this is great to see!
This is such a cool idea!!! We definitely need more multi function objects.
Me: woohooing in this will be difficult 😂
James you have to do the one that SimGuruFrost has everyone doing. Basically the same thing you did in this video, but without ANY cheats!! No moveobjects, no debug, no CC, NOTHING! hehehhe 😈🙏🏽
Fantastic job! I enjoyed seeing some of "the struggle" too. I'm impressed you got all of this to fit in a micro home and it looks gorgeous.
Honestly, this is the build idea I had when I found out about this pack!!! I’m glad you did it!
I love this home! Always wanted to live in a tiny home! Awesome job!
The bathroom offends me 😂😂 otherwise, great build
This is like a contest amongst the game-changers for who can make the best 32 square home
That bathroom is an AMAZING hack! Wish I knew about it when I did my tiny home! Would be kinda weird going to the bathroom in the "living room" if you stay with 3 people in a trailer - but then again.... you are staying a trailer and this is the sime. BUT great build Semaj! Missed your speed builds!
Awesome job! Love seeing you do more garden stuff again! (Feels like it's been a while?)
Only thing I would change in the build is the way the front door opens. I think it makes more sense the other way around so the door doesn't get in the way when you enter. (Of course sims can just walk straight through it but in real life it would be obstructive.)
And a ladder up to the roof would be perfect for a build like this! Too bad they didn't add them... XP
Also, that bathroom is so cool! Can't believe it works! XD
It's a bit crazy, I swear I basically had the same one tile type bathroom in our first trailer when I was a kid, shower over sink.
This is amazing!! So unique! I love it! You crushed Frost’s challenge!

Next time try the Tiny House for Large Family with the stuff from pack.
I love trailers and park models and small houses and they do have chandelier in trailer particularly they have high end 5th wheels with large living room kitchen areas with one as the ceiling is higher for the bedroom over the flat bed. Some people take it down while driving depending on the material. Really great build, very hype for this pack.
