    In these horribly depressing days of covid. I have no work and got that bored i though id sort my slow boiler leak out and also add inhibitor. Having just watched this video, i've not only been clearly instructed but heck, IT REALLY MADE ME LAUGH. What a character !!!!!!! You genuinely cheered me up so thank you and keep up the top notch work. :-)

    Absolutely spot on from this chap as always. Saved me time and mess even over using the pressure pump method. 27 systems to inhibit over all on job. Made a little contraption the same as you have using an old container and few plumbing parts. Found a faster way to drain off the water using some more old plumbing parts and a lever valve. Simply remove valve from rad, fit Flexi hose connected to a lever valve onto radiator insert and with bleed screws open, open up lever valve and drain off water at full bore 😉. Not so bad doing a 1 or 2 systems but on a mega 27 like I've got to do needed a faster way to drain off water. Its Works spot on. Thanks for another bloomin marvelous bout of advice 💪👍, top man

    Ace tricks! Worked perfectly for me. I made do with an adapter that fits the hole after taking the whole bleed valve assembly out, with a bit of silicone tube and a funnel - that got my chemicals in without any hassle. Glad I watched this vid first though because I was wondering how the air was going to get out as I filled with fluid - easy, take out the bung on the other side of the rad, hehehehe! Thanks for this!

    Word up big dog !!!
    Question for ya, what way would you recommend to check temperature of water coming out of hot taps. There's no stat on the cyclinder and shower pump is spitting out water and pump noisy. Fitted surrey flange and hughley improved the problem but its still happening the odd time when heating is on, house doesn't have separate hot water and central heating. Thinking of putting cyclinder thermostatic valve on flo into cyclinder. Does it sound like i'm on the right track with this ?
    I have a multi meter with a thermocouple on it, what do you think of letting hat water run over the end of the thermocouple, thermostat from the pharmacy mabey, i have an anton flu analyser with 2 temperature clamps for the flo and return pipes, mabey strap them onto pipes.
    Keep it real home's, lovin your work

    Nice tip thanks, I am at college so I am just learning at the min but should be helpful :) one question at my granddads house the radiator in the front room the top half is cold while the bottom is hot. I said to him it most likely need air out of it. Just by using the key he said he hasn't done that in a while but could there be any other reason like the radiator got to much sludge in, it is a old radtior also I think it's the last rad on the line.

  • @tontor1
    @tontor1 10 лет назад

    Just thought of a 2nd question for you sir, 2 port motorised valve, the auxillary switch (grey and orange) got stuck in the closed position and when the time clock was off the boiler kept running for this reason, so i changed the actuator, worked for a few weeks then happened again so i drained the system and replaced complete valve only for it to happen AGAIN. I can't think of a reason as to why the switch keeps getting stuck closed. I'm even wondering did i mix up the valves and put a broken 1 back on by accident but to be honest i don't think i did. I must be missing something just can't think what.

    All good advise, and no criticism. I use a bag such as a bin bag or recycling bag all to catch the water though as you can wrap it around pipe and valve and aim the rad water more easily and it catches it all without having to bail out. Just check there are no holes in the bag first! I've had wet knees.

  • @SoapyTitsWank

    Hello, if you have an F&E tank in the loft, would't it be easier to just pour the inhibitor into the tank outlet. In other words directly into the system. This means you wouldn't need to dilute the inhibitor in the F&E water ? Or am I wrong ?

    • @Scoob908
      @Scoob908 Год назад

      If you’ve completely drained down the system then yes. If you haven’t drained down enough of the system then it could just sit in the expansion pipe and not mix with the system water.
