In these horribly depressing days of covid. I have no work and got that bored i though id sort my slow boiler leak out and also add inhibitor. Having just watched this video, i've not only been clearly instructed but heck, IT REALLY MADE ME LAUGH. What a character !!!!!!! You genuinely cheered me up so thank you and keep up the top notch work. :-)
Absolutely spot on from this chap as always. Saved me time and mess even over using the pressure pump method. 27 systems to inhibit over all on job. Made a little contraption the same as you have using an old container and few plumbing parts. Found a faster way to drain off the water using some more old plumbing parts and a lever valve. Simply remove valve from rad, fit Flexi hose connected to a lever valve onto radiator insert and with bleed screws open, open up lever valve and drain off water at full bore 😉. Not so bad doing a 1 or 2 systems but on a mega 27 like I've got to do needed a faster way to drain off water. Its Works spot on. Thanks for another bloomin marvelous bout of advice 💪👍, top man
very precise, and clear videos, loved the way you explained the stuff !! well done !!
Super helpful advice, clear and concise thank you :)
Thanks for all your videos, they have been very helpful. God bless you.👌👌
Thanks for your help !....easy to follow instructions cheers.

Looooove plumber parts. Totally to the point but with a bit of fun.
man whom knows what he is talking about. clear and precise instruction . A #
Made this contraption today, fantastic idea and works so well.
When is best to add inhibitor to your system?
Brilliant video, added SENTINEL 400X to restore system on back of these tips. Question is would adding a second tub BEFORE draining down after a month help at all to further improve system performance as TBH it was pretty poor beforehand? Now improved but not optimal. Thanks
Awesome as usual. It's all about the tips.
Is it suitable to add sludge remover (x400) in this way aswell?
Great videos by the way, love watching them!
thanks for this simple solution. I was a bit daunted about doing this job myself, but will go and do it now and report back soon
Top-tip and your invention is spot on. Love your humour also.
Really great tip, thank you.
Excellent tutorial!!
Great video, well done dude.
Ace tricks! Worked perfectly for me. I made do with an adapter that fits the hole after taking the whole bleed valve assembly out, with a bit of silicone tube and a funnel - that got my chemicals in without any hassle. Glad I watched this vid first though because I was wondering how the air was going to get out as I filled with fluid - easy, take out the bung on the other side of the rad, hehehehe! Thanks for this!
Great info, thanks, i must do this asap, i drained my f and e system down last year, and refilled without inhibitor, and am now concerned there could be issues coming if i don't get some in there soon.
Great useful vids. keep it up!
Brilliant Thanks mate.
watched so many but i enjoy watching this 😀
learn plus fun.. makes u watch the whole video

Great vids - I have watch the majority of them and picked up enough tips and saved myself a fortune on Plumbers..... think I am going to have ago at putting a new bathroom suite in soon....... may have a Professional Plumber on speed dial just in case :-)
good job mr plumber
Any thoughts on selling the cap and hose assembly on plumberparts? I know many people who'd buy one! Also how often should I inhibit my system? Great vid. Subbed!
Hi great vids, how would this work with a underfloor heating system?
I think I am going to make one of those!!! good idea guys
Thanks for the video mate helped out massively as all your vids do whilst having a good laugh . the wife was looking at me like a weirdo though when you were singing disapate the radiator haha
You should be on telly, love your videos, keep them coming.!!

One of your best.
simple as it should be - thanks
Very helpful and entertaining. Many thanks. Dave T
top man bailled me out many times
I've added a couple of Saxon rads that you've used in one of your vids. What inhibitor do you recommend for aluminium rads please?
This man is awesome
Thanks, still relevant in 2020.
Well done sir
Good as usual pp whatever that means cool videos keep it up
Brilliant 👍🏻
HOLD TIGHT!!!!!!!!! CHEERS FOR THE EPIC VID
HOLD TIGHT, Quality video! :D
Word up big dog !!!
Question for ya, what way would you recommend to check temperature of water coming out of hot taps. There's no stat on the cyclinder and shower pump is spitting out water and pump noisy. Fitted surrey flange and hughley improved the problem but its still happening the odd time when heating is on, house doesn't have separate hot water and central heating. Thinking of putting cyclinder thermostatic valve on flo into cyclinder. Does it sound like i'm on the right track with this ?
I have a multi meter with a thermocouple on it, what do you think of letting hat water run over the end of the thermocouple, thermostat from the pharmacy mabey, i have an anton flu analyser with 2 temperature clamps for the flo and return pipes, mabey strap them onto pipes.
Keep it real home's, lovin your work
Nice tip thanks, I am at college so I am just learning at the min but should be helpful :) one question at my granddads house the radiator in the front room the top half is cold while the bottom is hot. I said to him it most likely need air out of it. Just by using the key he said he hasn't done that in a while but could there be any other reason like the radiator got to much sludge in, it is a old radtior also I think it's the last rad on the line.
We’ve been gradually decorating every room in the house so every radiator has come off at some point. Just used this method to add inhibitor now we have finished. Cheers 🎉
love your videos hang tight mike
Top man 👍
Love your videos funny guy ....I bought an easy in ada0t9r at screwfix under 3 quid I think works a treat screw upto the bottle and the upper thread /inlet . And job done . Again great videos great humour
I have an external Oil Boiler, Camray 5 combi 90bE, can I add Inhibitor at the Boiler , or through the Radiator.
magnificent!!
If I want to change a radiator valve with an old fashioned gravity fed boiler, do I first stop the water supply to tank in loft or must I also turn off the airing cupboard tank before draining the system?
Small tip - if possible choose a radiator with a drain off fitted, saves messing around undoing the valve and catching it in a tray.
Gonna do this one.
good man im aplumber from dublin ireland nice 2 see somebody has a bit of fun doin our trade
Easy...............thanks.
I'm putting in 2 x type 22 rads. Should I put a full tub in both of them or one? On a combi boiler system
Just thought of a 2nd question for you sir, 2 port motorised valve, the auxillary switch (grey and orange) got stuck in the closed position and when the time clock was off the boiler kept running for this reason, so i changed the actuator, worked for a few weeks then happened again so i drained the system and replaced complete valve only for it to happen AGAIN. I can't think of a reason as to why the switch keeps getting stuck closed. I'm even wondering did i mix up the valves and put a broken 1 back on by accident but to be honest i don't think i did. I must be missing something just can't think what.
Stupid question but is it one bottle for the whole system I've got 12 radiators would I need to do all or just put it into one and it will do the whole system new at all this 😁
Would love a hoodie would make me feel like a plumbing legend like you:-)
Hey. Any chance you could answer a plumbing question for me? A neighbours indirect hot water cylinder does not heap up when heating is on plus now when the emmersion is on there is only a bit of hot water..this cylinder is about 35 years old. time for change? Why is not heating up?
GOOOOD......................THANKS..............
Have you any videos of multifuel stove installation?
Much easier if you have a heated towel rail to add inhibitors into the system?
can you mix inhibitors? don't know what inhibitors currently in the system? can you also mix sealer with inhibitor?
If you have to add more inhibitor than the capacity of the radiator can take. Do I need to spread this inhibitor across multiple radiators in the system to get the correct dosage for the system?
do i need to clean the system before i add inhibitor? or can i just add it while i have the system drained (i'm fitting a new towel warmer)?
Mr. Boilerman, Yes sir!
Can you do a quick video on how to make one of those filling tubs please step by step so I can follow. Love you brother
Great video mate I am glad you are a better plumber than you are a singer 😂 top lad 👍
do you have to do that in every radiator or it will distribute itself across the whole system?
I just emptied a rad and wanted to refill with inhibitor, is the ratio of inhibitor/water crucial?
Check this out, it uses a pressurized can with a non return valve
Sentinel Rapid Dose with NEW adaptor just over £15 at screwfix.
p.s. what do you think of magnetic filters?
I've got a magnaclean, can i tip it in there?
All good advise, and no criticism. I use a bag such as a bin bag or recycling bag all to catch the water though as you can wrap it around pipe and valve and aim the rad water more easily and it catches it all without having to bail out. Just check there are no holes in the bag first! I've had wet knees.
Hi James, love your home brewed inhibitor filler, wish I had thought of it, did a replacement TRV today on a combi system, would have saved me time and money!, I'm going to make one myself, lady told me her heating works better than it ever has. before, fitted 18 months ago, the Muppet didn't bleed it properly!
Hi . I have 5 Raditiors in my house I want to put inhibitior in Radiator. Do I have to drain all five Radiators first then put inhibitior in five Radiators or just drain only one any Radiator and put inhibitior? My combi bolier is upstair in bed room. Can u please explain to me.
very good video as usual pp, what does this pp mean dude
Is that enough inhibitor for a whole system or just that radiator?
I like using towel rails they're usually the highest air point in a system.Sttaight in the top
What happens if the bleed nuts are at the back of the radiators? What would you do in those circumstances.
Do you need to drain old inhibitor?
Hello, if you have an F&E tank in the loft, would't it be easier to just pour the inhibitor into the tank outlet. In other words directly into the system. This means you wouldn't need to dilute the inhibitor in the F&E water ? Or am I wrong ?
If you’ve completely drained down the system then yes. If you haven’t drained down enough of the system then it could just sit in the expansion pipe and not mix with the system water.
Excellent video and easy to understand well presented with just the right amount of levity to spice things up, from Scotland , ( you need to improve your Scottish accent ) LOL.
Love your videos! I owe you a beer or two should you make it to Maine some time!
How much inhibitor do I need to buy.So many on the market from 200ml to 1ltr.
HELP DO I NEED TO PUT IN JUST 1 RADIATOR OR ALL
Just what I needed - many thanks. Superb guide.
P.S. Are all plumbers pleasantly bonkers? You're as mad as Furze! 😉 (That's a compliment.)
What about just adding it to the magnetic filter?Close it off, drain some water out through the bottom nut. Then fill it in the top after taking the lid off.. Clean the magnetic at the same time ,perhaps.
Had to replay that Scottish accent about 7 times, cracks me up every time hahaha
UMMMM! ....not a scottish accent ?? pmsl :)
Can you just add the inhibitor into a TF1 with the lid off?
What size washers are they?
You're alive :-)
