Might be the best episode of the show. I was glued to the screen for every single second and those Homelander scenes were... perfect, just perfect, down to the last minute detail.
The dings from the elevator make the atmosphere more eerie. I love it😊
Truly perfect
Like heart beats.
Cabin in the woods 😂
@imalwayshungryyeesh Definitely a movie I think should have more in the series. So many idea's I have. They could show past groups with different monsters. Make that into a TV series or something. Then more movies where they go to the other places on earth, like how Japan (or was it China) had that school one.
Fr, felt like Meet The Grahams all over again
The one lucky person that called in sick that day
Ironically enough, she was the one person to call in sick that day, and yet? He still forced her to come in. Your best bet is being one of the newer highers because if you were apart of the team when John was being "raised"? Oh boy. You're already on his shit list I'm afraid 😭
If she still refused to come in to face Homelanders cruel punishment, an angry Homelander wouldn’t waste anytime and immediately fly to her home and make her fate a whole lot worse than ever and even kill her family and pets that also lived with her in her home, if she even had any.

He probably just flies under the ocean really fast, I mean, that’s what I would do if I was Superman or one of those dudes.
He wouldn't bother getting it cleaned, he just has a closet full of new ones.
The cleaner probably learned by now to not ask questions
Do you think Homelander actually takes care of himself? He’s a rich(?) and famous narcissist who thinks he’s a God after all, ya think he does his own laundry and cooks his own food, or he has someone else do it for him? I also wonder if he was taught basic education by Vought or if their asset/prisoner got the best education possible
I’m glad Homelander is able to get closure on his childhood trauma, he really pulled on their heart strings and brought them all together. 😊
The writing is so awful though experiments similar to this were done in the 1800s no educated person would raise a child like this and not expect homeowner style results.
@@amh9494it's just not smart writing. It COULD have been good.
@@kingcreedo6010 they could have done something like the head researcher has a wife colleague who was killed by him hence he does some extreme stuff and is raised by people clearly in abject fear of him. I like to think he just started grabbing and whipping them around the room in a frenzy. Barbara must have been outside of the room when it happened because she has no blood on her but there is blood everywhere including on the wall behind her.
I love the analogy of this episode. It seems like a baptism for the Homelander though is a baptism of blood and he seems like he's going to go insane in the next episodes
By "going insane" I meant he's gonna have a big meltdown. Jesus
"Go" insane??!!
Like he wasn't insane this whole time

@NSGrendel I believe the term the 'go insane' person was looking for was have a breakdown or meltdown. Granted, he's had several in the show, but he hasn't made other people feel it (yes he snapped and killed the dude, but that was not a meltdown). I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't destroy a city before the end of the show.

He wouldn't be completely covered in blood if he just lasered them.

Anthony deserves awards for his performance on this show.
That ding sound from the elevator is literally the sound of going to Insanity.
It’s literally the figurative sense.
I mean like, technically he won the conversation though..😂
Dude was kind enough to leave food for her
He locked " welded her in" so she couldnt get out....... Just how he wouldn't let his thoughts get out and become reality
And also so nobody can let her out. She will eat her friends bodies until she starves
Missed the fact he lazered the hinges trapping her in there
I think they should have kept all the homelander scenes in this episode together and not cut any of the tension
I get what you mean, but that would’ve worked against the shock factor and fear that these scenes brought, which is what made them so good. If they had just made this a single sequence it might have felt like it was being dragged on for the sake of violence, which would’ve ruined the acting and atmosphere.
I think the cuts made a huge role to building up this scene, it tense me up to know what will happen next
Pacing is important to build tension. After 5 solid minutes of this, the impact would be lost. The cuts away build tension.
Antony Starr is so good as homelander it's almost scary.
Man she cut right into him. Down to the core.
At what cost
Hollywood needs to take notes from this show. This is how you make a good villain; heartless but conflicted and unpredictable. Every time Homelander is on screen my heart rate goes up.
Stalin did it first, and better, and FOR REAL.
@@xyaeiounnNo, he got other people to do it for him. Big difference.

Did he have the last laugh though? That ladys gonna die but he'll always remain insecure because of what she and those scientists did to him during his childhood. She'll always be there with him until the end.
Nah
@@xXevilsmilesXxwhen you put it like that bro its hard to argue.
It's one of those "yes & no" situations.
Yes: Homelander will still be somewhat insecure and have a pathological need for love.
No: because, as he says, they have created him above being human and so his release from that need is realizing that he needs love and attention from other supers (that Vought created ironically enough) and not other humans.
His revenge on them may have cut that...but not in a good way. His need for human love may be done. He may now be on a mission for supes overtaking the system. I think if anything his son will be his only love now
I think he does have the last laugh. Vought psychologists gave him that need for love thinking it would prevent him abusing his powers. But now with Ryan, Homelander is less willing to kowtow to the masses and is fighting for supes to rise to the top of society. He will always have that insecurity, but I think we're seeing Homelander overcome his programming as the show goes on.
The thing I like about the way she talked to homelander she knew she couldn't kiss his but out of this.
I didn't notice when watching the episode, but he really welded that door shut
Treat people with kindness, they may just wind up getting revenge when you least expect it
Their monster came home😂
Homelander has only been covered in blood twice in the show, the first time was anger, the second was out of joy
We only ever see the aftermath but just once I want to see homelander go nuts on a roomfull of people/supes
That would be so original
One thing I didn’t notice when I first watched this episode, he burned the door shut with the lady in the room
The first time i watched this, i missed the part where he burns the door shut with her still inside. Oddly satisfying 😅
The only way to win in that scenario is to self delete but hes fast enough to stop you so yeah idk game over

There’s not a single laser mark in that room, meaning he tore them apart with his bare hands while she watched

I blame him. He treats everyone like garbage, even innocent people and then whine and cries about not being loved. He's a narcissistic sociopath.
This Episode felt more like a Horror with Homelanders Scenes, everything felt so eerie and unsettling!! Especially the final scene mirroring his entrance with the Elevator in the Beginning, but this time Leaving with his F*cked up deeds left behind 🥶🥶
You know, some officers on the Jack the Ripper cases said this about his work, “It looked like that of a devil than that of a man.”
Homelander is no god, more akin to a devil than that of a man.
But why is it called the bad room?

Homelands is straight savage.
I’m pretty sure she told someone that she was going to the lab, and on top of that, she can survive if she goes cannibal mode
These aren't frozen corpses. They are going to decompose pretty quickly and the bacteria would kill you if you tried to eat them.
Every time he laughs/Smiles someone becomes a fried chicken

Nah, he gave her a worse fate than the rest.
At least she’s got something to eat until the next shift shows up or someone decides to check on that department. She’s truly blessed.
I love Homelanders "I'm not human" rants. He is SO human, albeit a mutated human.
