Idk why but it really bothers me when people start clapping during people playing the piano.

Austin it’s disrespectful or rude when you clap during someone one playing in most music forms except jazz. Most musicians are taught”tell your parents to clap after the conductor puts their hands down or when the sound is done resonating through the room”

      # 187 # 187 He may be really good but he is not talented enough to be well... a real talent or a prodigy. Sure hell be famous for the mainstream but his piano playing well... just requires some years of practice and in general ypu just practice all this a lot. Im not sure if this is a aong he wrote for himself or not. If so, respect, if not... well considering he started playing piano at the age of 9 he isnt all that talented. Yesterday for example ive been to a piano concert of a friend and a friend of hers (age: 16 and 17) and they could both play better than him. Im not saying he is not good at all but hes mediocre for how long and how much he says he has been playing. Ah yeah the 17 year old played the Revolutionary Etude by Chopin. Just wanted to add that.

I hate how they make that WTH kinda face at the beginning. They're not used to talents like piano and stuff. For example if a piano performance during a show like this one doesn't have something like a drop or beat, than it' s just...boooring...
Totally wrong. Piano isn't drums or electric guitar. What does people expect everytime? I mean of course not Für Élise but you can't ask club music either. Did you see their faces at the beginning?? Like " wtf is this guy doing? Sooo boring. Wtf man . Give us some beats will ya?"
I would be like " OMG. I love this piece of Beethoven. Love it. Really good choice." Cuz i play piano too and i really love that piece. "Reverie" too.
I mean come on man it is a fucking PIANO. What does people expect??? Drum Kits?
Those are my frustrations on this show from another video too where it happened the exact same thing and the judges were like WTH until they saw how beautiful he played the piano...

This reminds me how many of the best musicians mentally leave their bodies when they really feel the music. There is a clear moment in the first few bars where you see their exit & it allows the emotion to flow through the music. Where they go is irrelevant to us as the audience but for me it's a beautiful thing to see. Right up there with the major artist that can leave the effects behind for a song or two & just come down to the edge of the stage with just a stool and a stand. Maybe with an instrument.

Yes, Debussy's "Clair de Lune" has that impact on a lot of people - it was one of the first classical pieces I learned as a child. There's a dramatic part that I expected he'd play, but he began to morph the song just before it, and I was drawn in further, and rewarded with the powerful (programmed) vocal moaning and the percussive accents he added. He was mesmerizing to hear and watch. What a brilliant performance! 🎹 🎵
