I love building meme guns and trying them out. Which is how i discovered this fun fact: the vector with no stock is substantially heavier than a vector with a stock. Because the stock adapter and the stock cap are each heavier than the base stock. A stock less unsupressed vector with an extended magazine is taller than it is wide, which is a nice cursed image.
You can actually hear players on min-speed if you have direct line of sight and they're within about 15 feet of you (assuming you're using a headset). This does unfortunately make it so you can't sneak up and melee someone completely oblivious, because they will eventually hear you.
This video was timely as I just started running the standard MP5 with iron sights, the recoil reducing flash hider, and a foregrip. It's fantastically easy to use, I love it. Yes the ammo can be limiting but in the right situation it's a joy to use.
I use this gun as i just like the idea of somebody looking at what killed them and it being 9mm. Plus its cheap and its my first wipe, so no gear fear lol. Or an MP9 full of quakemaker and RIP
9mm SMGs have been some of my favorite guns to use for many wipes now. I have always paired them up with Green Tracer rounds because its fun to shoot "paintballs" at PMCs . I dont care about "META" ammos and stuff, I just do it for fun
When I used to play, I ran top 10-15 rounds as AP 6.3 and the rest PST. The AP 6.3 would rip the armor up (and possibly kill if it’s class 4) and the PST would mop up the rest. It’s not the end all be all but it’s pretty damn effective. Haven’t watched the vid yet I’m at work so I bet you what I typed is exactly what he said 😂 we’ll see
With that interchange kill, don't forget about desync. I've had an occasion where I double sparked a helmet on my screen and it showed 0 hits on the death screen. All that visual stuff seems like its local. Not saying PBP can't be bugged, just something to keep in mind.
I reset my account this wipe to try playing 9x19-only starting from lvl 1. Personally, I think the recoil changes actually nerfed the 9x19 rounds since it made all the other meta rounds better for full auto fire. Prior to that recoil change, 9x19 was still relatively controllable full-auto. However, with the new recoil buffs, 9x19 loses out on one of the few major benefits it had over the other calibers. That being said, you really just have to abuse that laser-recoil to go for headshots. AP 6.3 / Green Tracer seem to be the only rounds worth using due to availability & cost. Doesn't seem to make sense to me to save money building 9mm SMG's and then spending more rubles in ammo than you would full meta kits lol
dont use green tracer just use regular old pstgzh or use the leg bois green tracer has the brightest tracer on the planet and you will constantly lose your target in the blur its also slow dont use the mp5sd either besides for "cool" factor just use the regular mp5 with a suppressor dont use the mpx its a joke no matter what you do to it use the pp19 for ultra cheap supremely easy recoil as in literally zero and head pop use the stm with a 2x sight and rail people source literally thousands of raids with regular ass pst gzh against sweatlords with t6 armor and altyns back when that was a thing

oh my gosh i agree a lot, peacekeeper Ap 6.3 combined with PST Gzh and 50 mags are just shredding for not that high price. I often put 20 pst gzh on bottom and 30 AP 6.3 on top so the price of one mag doesnt explode. Of course AP ammo into container and some PST Gzh to your pockets.
Its really hilarious to me because when in the zone for this game, I am constantly crafting ap63 and trading knives for the mp5 barter, only to now have ammo cases fun of the stuff and weapon cases full of mp5s and mp9s with little to no want to even use them. 😭😭😭
I've always felt leg meta is conventional. Unless you're using the absolute best 9mm the game has to offer, which is basically made out of unobtanium... leg meta is king for SMGs. I've dumped almost a whole mag of AP 9mm into a chads chest without a death resulting from it, multiple times. But with high flesh damage ammo, even quakemaker, all I need is 5 shots to the leg/pelvis/stomach to end the fight. Also if you ambush someone and you get a good spray on their legs and they manage to make it to cover, they'll be by death's door and with multiple heavy/light bleeds. Easy to nade them, or push them, and since it takes forever to heal up completely, you'll just need one or two more shots to their legs to kill them.
By conventional I mean strictly thorax/headshot meta with high pen, that's how I usually refer to it but yeah I get ya. Problem is for me, I won't ever "main" a weapon unless it can play in that style - it's fun to do leg sometimes but just not my preferred way

Possibly, you have to work around the positional downsides of it though to make it successful rather than going for exclusive headshots, just a different playstyle :)
Was wondering if you could do a video showing the effects of the hidden stats on weapons, and maybe if you could come up with numbers to consider when choosing certain guns.
there is a channel called "О таркове в циферках". You can copy-paste the name. Guy explains with subs these stats in good details. Also has spreadsheet with all hidden stats. I used it when dispersion upgrade kicked in, knew that G36 was meta among the first
Real talk though, Tippmann makes an AR-15 called the M4-22. It's legit an M4 chambered in 22lr and it's such a fun gun (I have one). I'd love to see them add it to Tarkov as a joke
pbp is indeed bugged my friend had only that ammo and all his bullets were ghost rounds that he got back after firing it from 3 mags on a vector and doing 0 dmg to scavs or pmcs
9mm just isnt the same used to be easy to get and plentiful now theres so many restrictions so its just pain in the ass to get decent ammo aka not fun. Running pbp in pp19 was awesome and used to have more pen, they needed to nerf the vector into the ground to balance it not the whole caliber.
not including leg meta for end of wipe feels a bit wrong for the mp5/9x19 round guns bc thats really where those guns shine at the end of the wipe; everything that the 9x19 round guns do at the pen side of the chart is done better in nearly if not every way by another gun with maybe the exception of price but since most people are sitting way beyond millions of roubles towards the end of the wipe that isnt a justification to use 9x19 and so is a null point and therefore makes 9x19 look really bad even though it easily contends with any other meta build when you're using leg meta.
the thing that bugs me the most is that smgs in tarkov shoot like assault rifles, anyone who actually owns a small caliber rifle in real life knows that 9mm does NOT have the recoil that tarkov makes it out to have. so in reality they underclass the smg category by making it visually have as much as it does.
mag dump green tracer for the recoil reduction: you're going for headshots anyway. Looking for pen with an smg is pointless like looking for raw flesh damage in a DMR
PBP is not at all compareable to other smg ammo, its absolute trash. At 10 Meters it only has 36.71 pen, at 25m 33.38. Its penetration and damage drop off is insane. Compare that to 4.6x30 fmj with 37.84 pen at 50 Meters.
Tbh you brought up the pistol/PDW round with the second best ballistic coefficient as an example. 4.6x30mm FMJ (and 5.7x28mm and maybe the Tokarev) has unusually good BC so that is a bit of an outlier. Most pistol cartridges sit around a BC of 0.12 or lower and even 9x21mm PS is at 0.08. So they are comparable but the two cartridges that specialize in speed, penetration and small cross sections get better BC which is to be expected. Compared to 9x18 or 9x21mm it isn't that bad (actually it almost behaves like 9x18mm PM PBM).
@@Thund3r0v No i didnt 9x21 Bt drops from 39 to 35.17 at 50 meters.9x18 Bpm drops from 28 to 23.16 at 50. But 9x19 pbp drops 39 to 31.29. The difference is even bigger in the first 25 meters and dont get me started with the subsonic ammo, the lose almost no pen . Pbp is an awful round, that got castrated by the balistic changes, and should be alot cheaper and easier accesible.After recoil changes the differences between a vektor and m4 are also smaller.
@@marcungemach5970 I was comparing just the BC not damage and pen which is also why I brought up PBM (speed difference is minimal and BC is similar, just check the energy chart and compare, PBP loses more but the curve is the same) and why Giga saying they are similar in ballistic performance wasn't and out there idea (whether you tolerate the loss and work around or not tolerate it is a different matter. Example: some people like 9x18mm SP7 even though it bleeds damage and overheats the gun but in certain situations it works better than SP8 or PSV and I can respect that even if I prefer PSV). And yes, subsonic rounds don't loose much performance because of their nature (so high BC and low speed= not much energy is lost). You now have to deal with a wandering zero which can and will cost your life if you don't use a 150 meter zero for a target 50 meters away (yes those subsonics have about 4 times the drop) or hug people while negating the good range performance. TLDR: The round still works within its limitations on 9mm platforms but the guns that fire it also get benefits (like being cheaper by default/cheaper to suppress or bigger mags). Or just use hollow points and you don't need to worry about this which is the cheapo choice.
Collecting brown knives from scavs is always nice because I know it will eventually lead to a MP5. The sound of it when shooting is, well, sexy. Don't kink shame me.
9mm has always been viable it never wasnt the ONLY problem it has is pen the upside to 9mm is you get a railgun for mega cheap but you lose the ability to thorax people otherwise you have to spend 200k+ to get the same level of recoil
There is no increased recoil on Ap 9mm. And yes, like the first 5 rounds hit the ceiling but it levels out and that's how I get headshots. Aim for chest and it bounces up.
you can kill someone even with a flare but is that mean that you should nerf yourself and use it? same goes for any 9x19 bullets, especially on mid and end wipe

That is the only period everyone use them without heavy modding. Everyone is using almost the same weapon and it is actually fun because it is somehow balanced. In late wipe, it is silly to use weapons without modding the hell out of it. For example, the vanilla M4 with the hand guard. You can’t even see a damn thing with that muzzle flash when you go full auto, which will make you use it in semi-auto, but 556 is not meant to be used in single taps. You will have a hard time even fighting scavs, let alone fighting players. Everybody is spraying and wearing lv5 and lv6 armors with laser guns. Me as a guy using vanilla weapon will not have any fun. Now you tell me why shouldn’t I use meta weapon😢

I’m saying each person should feel free to CHOOSE for themselves. It may not be the most optimal or effective approach, hence them not being meta in the first place, but you can still win fights and play the game normally when using guns you like. In 12.12 I used a TOZ-106 even days before wipe. Just every once and a while. I could still kill chads if I played to my strengths and aimed carefully. Leg meta exists not because it’s ineffective, but because it is effective. If a gun you like doesn’t have high penetration, try high damage leg shots. You can still use most guns any point of a wipe, it’s just playing around the loadout that people don’t do. If I sprint around dorms with a Saiga-9 like I’m a turbo chad I’m not going to have success. But if you put yourself in situations where you can ambush people or stalk them for an opportunity to strike, you can still get kills with it. I’m saying you can choose to run meta or non meta guns. I’m not telling you NOT to run meta. But don’t be a slave to it. Don’t force yourself arbitrarily to use only meta.

@@prod_mystery unfortunately I think that as long as the Vectors exist in game, 9mm and 45 AP will be sparse. I honestly don’t think it should be trader at all. I think maybe add it to raiders and rouges. Every time I kill an Mp5 or any other 9mm Raiders it’s always CCI. It’d make sense for it to be a rare drop from raiders and the like, just my opinion. My first wipe was the Vector wipe so I was getting PBP’d left and right. I think the craft and having it be raider ammo would have 9mm at a good level to where the good ammo isn’t unicorn rare, but you’re not gonna get 20 recoil MP5’d or Vector’d around every corner

And the fact that it takes so long to craft for so little doesn’t help either. There’s gotta be at least one more source. You can get good rifle rounds like 55a1 from them. I think they should reduce the recoil even further. I don't want all the SMG ammo and weapons just being carbon copies of each other - lower recoil would make up for the crap bullets imo, which is does A BIT now but still probably not enough
@@Gigabeef I think the armor plating system may change how the game is played, where hopefully there are some sweet spots to shoot the thorax and get around the armor, making low recoil beam guns viable. the way the game is right now, the big guns rule the meta and almost any change to the smgs wont change it.
MPSD and other SMGs are extremly overpriced. Look at ADAR... that is just insane gun. Costs basically nothing and has better ammo. Tarkov does not really promote anyhow play how you want. But play the way we want you to play which is just sad. after 1k hours I feel like over 90% items in Tarkov (attachments, bullets and guns) are just junk to be sold to trader.
i shot a guy in the head 9 times with 6.3 into a ulach and he took 9 blunt damage and the helmet was still at full durability 9mm is 100% buggy sometimes. i walked right up to him while he was laying down and stuck the barrel to his head so it was 100% all headshots. kinda dumb how he can take 9 armor piercing rounds to the head but i got one tapped to the leg by a shotgun because tarkov logic.
late wipe???? only streamers ,youtubers and compete sweat losers with no lives are in late wipe, most of us normal people who play after a 9-5 are in mid wipe WITHOUT a DOUBT, they slows progress so much saying late wipe shows that you are one of the three above and i HATE when companies cater to them like dont be over here already calling for a wipe cause MAH RUclips MAH STREAM MAH INTERNET POINTS when the rest of the player base is still having a blast and if it werent for again the three types above everyone else would be around the same progress. and efore you say skill issue im lvl 40 with almost all level 4 traders and been playing since alpha still alot to do and alot to have fun with this wipe. im not some bandwagoner from 2020s tarkov boom, just hope arena takes all the sweats that wanna just sit there and run and gun use every meta weapon possible.
Sorry to tell you but if you're level 40 you are also in the late wipe I'm afraid - Class 5 armor and Workbench 3 ammo is the end of the game for each cycle

Most people talking about late wipe/mid wipe/early wipe are talking about the playerbase progression as a whole (including the people who play a lot since there's a lot of people like that) and how many months it's been since the most recent wipe, not just the levels of people who play an hour a week. Average gear on people you run into isn't going to get any better when you're almost 5 months into a wipe, which is level 5.

If you trade out the stock on the SD version, you can lower the recoil even more. It's minimal but it's an option.

i run this gun with just pst and a few 50 rounders on factory for a bit of fun. sucks that 9x19 ammo sucks (in game) so none bothers with it

Thing is the other weapons can thorax as well, whereas this one needed the increased headshot potential - that is where I think the difference lies

Just a shame that since the vectors came the 9mm ammo is just hard to get usable quantities of, at least when compared to before.
I love the MP5, but 9mm is not viable. AP6.3 and PBP are ridiculously expensive crafts either cost wise or time wise.

As long as the Vectors exist, the top tier 9mm and 45ACP ammos will be prohibitive.

PBP is not the problem. I saw LVNDMARK shoot scav with lapua FMJ. Scav did hit sound, then kill LVNDMARK and table says 0 hit count.

Was wondering if you could do a video showing the effects of the hidden stats on weapons, and maybe if you could come up with numbers to consider when choosing certain guns.

Real talk though, Tippmann makes an AR-15 called the M4-22. It's legit an M4 chambered in 22lr and it's such a fun gun (I have one). I'd love to see them add it to Tarkov as a joke
pbp is indeed bugged my friend had only that ammo and all his bullets were ghost rounds that he got back after firing it from 3 mags on a vector and doing 0 dmg to scavs or pmcs

9mm just isnt the same used to be easy to get and plentiful now theres so many restrictions so its just pain in the ass to get decent ammo aka not fun. Running pbp in pp19 was awesome and used to have more pen, they needed to nerf the vector into the ground to balance it not the whole caliber.
not including leg meta for end of wipe feels a bit wrong for the mp5/9x19 round guns bc thats really where those guns shine at the end of the wipe; everything that the 9x19 round guns do at the pen side of the chart is done better in nearly if not every way by another gun with maybe the exception of price but since most people are sitting way beyond millions of roubles towards the end of the wipe that isnt a justification to use 9x19 and so is a null point and therefore makes 9x19 look really bad even though it easily contends with any other meta build when you're using leg meta.
the thing that bugs me the most is that smgs in tarkov shoot like assault rifles, anyone who actually owns a small caliber rifle in real life knows that 9mm does NOT have the recoil that tarkov makes it out to have. so in reality they underclass the smg category by making it visually have as much as it does.
mag dump green tracer for the recoil reduction: you're going for headshots anyway. Looking for pen with an smg is pointless like looking for raw flesh damage in a DMR
PBP is not at all compareable to other smg ammo, its absolute trash.
At 10 Meters it only has 36.71 pen, at 25m 33.38. Its penetration and damage drop off is insane.
Compare that to 4.6x30 fmj with 37.84 pen at 50 Meters.
Tbh you brought up the pistol/PDW round with the second best ballistic coefficient as an example. 4.6x30mm FMJ (and 5.7x28mm and maybe the Tokarev) has unusually good BC so that is a bit of an outlier. Most pistol cartridges sit around a BC of 0.12 or lower and even 9x21mm PS is at 0.08.
So they are comparable but the two cartridges that specialize in speed, penetration and small cross sections get better BC which is to be expected.
Compared to 9x18 or 9x21mm it isn't that bad (actually it almost behaves like 9x18mm PM PBM).

But 9x19 pbp drops 39 to 31.29.
The difference is even bigger in the first 25 meters and dont get me started with the subsonic ammo, the lose almost no pen .
Pbp is an awful round, that got castrated by the balistic changes, and should be alot cheaper and easier accesible.After recoil changes the differences between a vektor and m4 are also smaller.
@@marcungemach5970 I was comparing just the BC not damage and pen which is also why I brought up PBM (speed difference is minimal and BC is similar, just check the energy chart and compare, PBP loses more but the curve is the same) and why Giga saying they are similar in ballistic performance wasn't and out there idea (whether you tolerate the loss and work around or not tolerate it is a different matter. Example: some people like 9x18mm SP7 even though it bleeds damage and overheats the gun but in certain situations it works better than SP8 or PSV and I can respect that even if I prefer PSV).
And yes, subsonic rounds don't loose much performance because of their nature (so high BC and low speed= not much energy is lost). You now have to deal with a wandering zero which can and will cost your life if you don't use a 150 meter zero for a target 50 meters away (yes those subsonics have about 4 times the drop) or hug people while negating the good range performance.
TLDR: The round still works within its limitations on 9mm platforms but the guns that fire it also get benefits (like being cheaper by default/cheaper to suppress or bigger mags).
Or just use hollow points and you don't need to worry about this which is the cheapo choice.

9mm has always been viable it never wasnt the ONLY problem it has is pen the upside to 9mm is you get a railgun for mega cheap but you lose the ability to thorax people
otherwise you have to spend 200k+ to get the same level of recoil

You are hitting the ceiling because increased recoil of the round. The pen is only lvl 3. Nah... This ain't it.
There is no increased recoil on Ap 9mm. And yes, like the first 5 rounds hit the ceiling but it levels out and that's how I get headshots. Aim for chest and it bounces up.
Also adding the 48 armor damage from AP destroys armor so your last 10 rounds or so pen lvl 4 and 5

@@ryanbolson23 No offense and sorry but that is not what he meant. Let’s say I like to use vanilla weapon. However, the use of vanilla weapons only last for a couple weeks after wipe. That is the only period everyone use them without heavy modding. Everyone is using almost the same weapon and it is actually fun because it is somehow balanced. In late wipe, it is silly to use weapons without modding the hell out of it. For example, the vanilla M4 with the hand guard. You can’t even see a damn thing with that muzzle flash when you go full auto, which will make you use it in semi-auto, but 556 is not meant to be used in single taps. You will have a hard time even fighting scavs, let alone fighting players. Everybody is spraying and wearing lv5 and lv6 armors with laser guns. Me as a guy using vanilla weapon will not have any fun. Now you tell me why shouldn’t I use meta weapon😢
@@billyherrington7004 that’s the difference, you and OP are saying “have to use” or “shouldn’t use” and telling people what they should/shouldn’t be using. I’m saying each person should feel free to CHOOSE for themselves. It may not be the most optimal or effective approach, hence them not being meta in the first place, but you can still win fights and play the game normally when using guns you like.
In 12.12 I used a TOZ-106 even days before wipe. Just every once and a while. I could still kill chads if I played to my strengths and aimed carefully.
Leg meta exists not because it’s ineffective, but because it is effective. If a gun you like doesn’t have high penetration, try high damage leg shots. You can still use most guns any point of a wipe, it’s just playing around the loadout that people don’t do. If I sprint around dorms with a Saiga-9 like I’m a turbo chad I’m not going to have success. But if you put yourself in situations where you can ambush people or stalk them for an opportunity to strike, you can still get kills with it.
I’m saying you can choose to run meta or non meta guns. I’m not telling you NOT to run meta. But don’t be a slave to it. Don’t force yourself arbitrarily to use only meta.

9x19 are some of my favourite guns in this game but they need to make ap’s and pbp more accessible. PST gzh is just unusable most of the time

@@TheMrPandabeast yes but there’s a huge problem with that. It takes 12 hours for 200 rounds, that is literally enough for 1 raid, it’s pretty much completely useless to actually craft it imo. It should be locked behind lvl 4 traders
@@prod_mystery unfortunately I think that as long as the Vectors exist in game, 9mm and 45 AP will be sparse. I honestly don’t think it should be trader at all. I think maybe add it to raiders and rouges. Every time I kill an Mp5 or any other 9mm Raiders it’s always CCI. It’d make sense for it to be a rare drop from raiders and the like, just my opinion. My first wipe was the Vector wipe so I was getting PBP’d left and right. I think the craft and having it be raider ammo would have 9mm at a good level to where the good ammo isn’t unicorn rare, but you’re not gonna get 20 recoil MP5’d or Vector’d around every corner

Same with crafting ap’s, I literally never run into people pbp or aps, just seems like 95% of players don’t even touch the 9x19 weapons. Idk if they changed that this wipe but tbh Ive played at all this last wipe I’m like lvl 10 :/ putting it on the raiders would make sense imo. 9mm has been in a bad spot since the Vector nerfs and it’s sad bc it’s such a fun lil cartridge to run. And the fact that it takes so long to craft for so little doesn’t help either. There’s gotta be at least one more source. You can get good rifle rounds like 55a1 from them. Only 90 rounds per reset is trash … full auto and 800rpm is slow for most 9mm full auto weapons … ap 6.3 needs to be maybe 200 per reset

I think they should reduce the recoil even further. I don't want all the SMG ammo and weapons just being carbon copies of each other - lower recoil would make up for the crap bullets imo, which is does A BIT now but still probably not enough
@@Gigabeef I think the armor plating system may change how the game is played, where hopefully there are some sweet spots to shoot the thorax and get around the armor, making low recoil beam guns viable. the way the game is right now, the big guns rule the meta and almost any change to the smgs wont change it.

MPSD and other SMGs are extremly overpriced.
Look at ADAR... that is just insane gun. Costs basically nothing and has better ammo.
Tarkov does not really promote anyhow play how you want. But play the way we want you to play which is just sad. after 1k hours I feel like over 90% items in Tarkov (attachments, bullets and guns) are just junk to be sold to trader.

i shot a guy in the head 9 times with 6.3 into a ulach and he took 9 blunt damage and the helmet was still at full durability 9mm is 100% buggy sometimes. i walked right up to him while he was laying down and stuck the barrel to his head so it was 100% all headshots. kinda dumb how he can take 9 armor piercing rounds to the head but i got one tapped to the leg by a shotgun because tarkov logic.

late wipe???? only streamers ,youtubers and compete sweat losers with no lives are in late wipe, most of us normal people who play after a 9-5 are in mid wipe WITHOUT a DOUBT, they slows progress so much saying late wipe shows that you are one of the three above and i HATE when companies cater to them like dont be over here already calling for a wipe cause MAH RUclips MAH STREAM MAH INTERNET POINTS when the rest of the player base is still having a blast and if it werent for again the three types above everyone else would be around the same progress. and efore you say skill issue im lvl 40 with almost all level 4 traders and been playing since alpha still alot to do and alot to have fun with this wipe. im not some bandwagoner from 2020s tarkov boom, just hope arena takes all the sweats that wanna just sit there and run and gun use every meta weapon possible.
Sorry to tell you but if you're level 40 you are also in the late wipe I'm afraid - Class 5 armor and Workbench 3 ammo is the end of the game for each cycle

Most people talking about late wipe/mid wipe/early wipe are talking about the playerbase progression as a whole (including the people who play a lot since there's a lot of people like that) and how many months it's been since the most recent wipe, not just the levels of people who play an hour a week. Average gear on people you run into isn't going to get any better when you're almost 5 months into a wipe, which is level 5.
