Bolt action snipers are some of the most difficult weapons to use in Tarkov. Unlike other weapons, they require a high level of skill and precision to use effectively. These weapons are not forgiving, and require a lot of practice to master. That being said over the course of my time with this game.. Excelent video about sniping in a game that is very hard to master and glad to see that you're encouraging people to try it best at it.
One think i would like to add... NEVER be afraid to make a shot. Better to try than not to do it and live with the doubt. And the best part of it... if you landed that headshot, you will get one of the best satisfactions in a FPS game. Remember, it's like 2Lew said "you're gonna have to take opportunities. Miss, fail, die, learn from your mistakes."
Biggest thing that improved my sniping was holding the mouse button after firing so I don't immediately start working the bolt. Being able to see if you hit and where they are starting to move is really helpful.

What you've called "the lineup" here as rule number 2, I always learned as "the trap" in shooting.
You place your sight where you expect them to be instead of chasing them with the crosshair. When they walk into the kill zone, you shoot.

quick piece of advice, if you stop yourself right before you start with heavy breathing when running, you get the renergy back faster, and you dont give away your location :)

I’ve got 2500 hrs but haven’t played tark for the last year. Woods will always be my comfort “loot n scoot” spot. Whether night or day I vibe hard there. I love all the maps but there’s something about solo/duo woods that hits the spot late at night

@@2Lew LOL. I usually run the vudu scope but today I tried the sig 4x you were using in this video. It will take a little getting used to but seems very viable, and much cheaper than the vudu or razr. My best shot this wipe is 598m kill.

I love sniping in the game and I am the most patient type to wait for the shot. YOu are right you do have to move after a shot it does not mean very far or like what I do is bait a pistol shot then flank and see people go towards the shot then kill them there are so many options how to bait or lure a player in but in that you do get stream snipers that come spoil the game for you as well.
So good tactics right there

I noticed your scope is always zeroed to 50...
When I snipe i always mess with the range, trying to best guess the distance to my target.... I often miss the shot when aiming dead center on the head... even when target stands still...
Is the feature not working as intended and leaving scope at 50 meters optimal?

How do you get the in game shots, like the air video over the camp?

Hey, big question. Why don't you use sight adjustment? Is it working?
It does work, but each gun is sighted to a specific ammo, so if you are not using intended rounds it will mess up your aim
if you mean zeroing then idk, just seems like a waste unless you're sniping at super long range. most of the time you can just point and click
@@2Lew is there anyway to know which round is the default ?
@@drip1192 it’s on the wiki. Guns also spawn with the default round in them, so if you find one in raid it will have that ammo in it.

i'd like to be motivated enough to play but i am basically a fresh player to the game and it's hard to try learn a map with no map and finding extracts as well as trying to avoid the players when they are all high level and know the maps when i know fek all
The "misses" you got at 4 min. in imo were not misses, he was just kitted up. There were 2 playing together so they went in squad. I would have pulled out a pistol and hugged the rock and walked as slowly as possible listening for healing or gasping since you hit at least 1 7.62.54R.
Idk, I can tell I don't quite know the mechanics of this game yet but those weren't misses, were they? At least 1 BT hit but at a long range so velocity fell and u probably got bullet drop some - so a rig hit instead of head. The wait with drinking milk while grenades are going off would have been a no for me. The run to the rock so quick would have also been a no for me. Idk I just can tell I don't know the "conversion points" and mechanics as well as I need to to snipe but this was a great vid to learn. Ty.

one thing i don't like about tarkov how punishing is for new people if you just started and know nothing about game or maps or weapons you would be screwed so badly that you would lost all interest in game and curs it for ever buying it. Guys with tons of money and top gear will always dominate
