Make sure the middle support pieces are cut quarter inch bigger then the pvc. That way it spins freely and you get the full potential out of your dog! Good work homie!

Great job, thanks for sharing this information :-) My dog, Chato, does'nt get the amount of exercise that he needs and keeps gaining weight even with weight control food. This is something I think I can do, after watching your video, and will help greatly :-) Btw, your dog Deuce is a real doll :-)

Well hopefully this helped sumone out in building 1 like it or their own. My dog was big of coarse and worked great he would stretch out on it wide open! Had to do a few adjustments but it's common sense and a little engineering. Good luck!

Does the landscape timber go through the full length of the pvc pipe? Can you use twelve inch lengths of timber at each end of the pipes?
how did you secure the bolts to the wood inside the pvc tubing? were those bolts pointed like a large screw? glue?

This is the instructions, if you watch video 1 and 2 you should be able to get it. Someone asked me if i could post a video of how i did the carpet though. So check back and i will post that video probably this weekend or if i get sum time earlier maybe. If you need additional help on sumthin or materials tho let me know and i will try to help you.

hey buddy was wondering how did you make the bearings I'm the having a hard time keeping it together is there anything else other than landscape lumber can you use actual bearings
Yea that would work too. anything that would work same as a bearing would. I used the landscape timber cuz the way I did it was with big long lag screws I think N acted as a peg, but together it worked like a bearing.

A I like wat u doing but I'm trying to build me 1 I wanted to know can you sell me the wheel an instruction I can go from there it hard working 12 hours shift 6 day a week an trying to walk 4 baby when I get off
Have you tried a small 20 lb dog on your carpet mill? I'm not sure if my dog weights enough to use a manuel treadmill so far I've only seen little dogs on a elec one.

As a vegan i completely understand where you are coming from. If i didn't first had see the benefits of kennel trained dogs i might be able to see your point. Having raised three amazing kennel pups myself i know they are the furthest from derived. Not to mention if he was so horrible to his animal and kept them locked in a "metal box" all of the time then how was his cute pup able to make so many candid cameos through the video?

The crate is only used for a few hours tops... to keep the dogs from chewing things that might hurt them when left unattended
