Mind pump is my favorite podcast! I started my journey 6 weeks ago and I have taken many helpful tips from them and have seen MASSIVE results! I started at 174 lbs eating 1,300 calories a day and with the help of reverse dieting and strength training, I’m now at 158 lbs eating 2,200 calories a day! Thank you Mind Pump!

This is what I did... Yep let yourself fail. And I do mind work daily or weekly as needed. Whatever works for you spiritually or whatever you want to call it. I meditate and learn. Next I learned a little about nutrition on youtube. I learnt how alcohol is metabolized in the human body and what it does to my brain and tissues. That did it for me. Learned to cook on YT. After a few years , you learn so much you can't go back. I watch the tv series The Bear as my reminder this is a mental game, and I know how to play the game now.(if that makes sense) If you do not have underlying health issues(ask your doctor), anyone can do this and get back to their optimum body weight. Do it. Just try it. You can always go back to poor diet and health lol.But i know you can do this if you wan to. it feels amazing and is worth every sacrifice in the beginning, and then over a few weeks, sacrifice becomes new habits, and you will wonder why you ever ate Arby's Beef and Cheddars in the first place. For me is was self destructive. My new self does do that to myself anymore. That is a terrible thing to do to my stomach, and so is Chipotle red hot salsa! Why do we do that to ourselves? lol) I avoid all the decades long Proctor and Gamble Corporate marketing and advertising LIES. Example LIE: Crisco is better for you than lard. LIARS. I now use nothing but lard olive oil, coconut oil. And the food tastes so much better. You must avoid processed foods in the grocery store. So you have about two aisles, meat dairy produce deli. I stay out of the soda pop corn syrup aisle lol. I switched to all non processed foods. Walk little every day 15-30 minutes to start. nothig crazy. Start and after a few weeks, WAIT he just said it: "29:45 YOU WILL HIT THE GOAL" the weight comes right off over weeks. Excuses excuses is all i told myself my whole life. now I can gain or drop weight as desired. I did it. Oh and i stopped drinking. Stopped completely (consult with your doctor if you are a serious drinker) for over a year then only on holidays if i feel like it. I ussualy feel so good now, I do not want that sleepy buzzed numb feeling. I know. Lifetime of drinking is quite a paradigm shift. After that I allow myself a couple times a year to drink. Funny thing is I aint' ruining all this work for nothing. Rum and cokes have A LOT of calories, AND the way you feel without alcohol in your body is AMAZING. Try it i highly recommend it. One warning when you quit drinking. You will have to get new friends, and family may not like you changing. Whew that is a lot but I'm four years in. You can do this too. I went from 225+ pounds to 170 punds today and holding since 2020. I can lose or gain as needed. You can do this too. Peace and cheers to your new level of health in nutrition. SUPER BONUS REWARD: the food I cook at home after four years of practice is delicous. Not a five star chef at all. I just know what i like and make amazing dishes for myself. Sushi, puerco pebil yes wrapped in a banana leaf and slow raosted until it is divine. Pizza, biscuits(on special occasion lol), hand made whipped butter from heavy creme, omg you have to try that. They used to serve in fancy schmacy restraunts. I don't track or log anymore. I feel good. I track by feeling good in my body. If I gain ten pounds, i can fell it now. YOU can do this too. Setup a good kitchen. Pcik a target ideal weight for yourself. And learn to cook. It is so much fun you will not even think about losing weight. It will just come off. Tonights meal: Home made sushi with small gain sushi rice, eal, salmon, tuna, miso soup, a little saki(sushi is always a special occasion I'm part asian) but no more saki bombers or riciculous drinking. You can do this.

34:44 yeah that is exactly correct. Let yoruself fail. It's no big deal. Next meal, jsut don't do that. I was way to hard on myself when i failed to lose weight in the past. i use humor and comedy to cope when I fail. I have to be gentle with myself. you make corrections for yourself. You correct based on your own state of mind and health. When you make a correction it is just another waypoint on your journey. Not a negative thing. Things will go wrong,. but that is ok. For me, I have to infinitely patient because i used to tear myself apart with self hate from a lot of childhood 'issues' and bugs. That cam e from my childhood, oh yeah. INtegrate your shadow or what ever you want to call it, else you won't be able to achieve anything in life to your fullest potential. I hate to quote Carl Jung because he is so controversial, but we know now,. We are way too hard on ourselves because we do not understand ourselves. A big part of my paradigm shift was the mind work. I was so awful to myself. So why would anyone else treat me well. And that is a journey that will take th rest of my life to finish. But that is a good thing. I can be patient with myself and let myself fail. Get to know your self. You'd be amazed what more you can do with what ever you got. Just a little bit goes a long way. You ca do this too. You are never too old to try something else. I did in my 50s you can too.

This is what everyone who’s been struggling or going up and down in weight need to hear.
Everyone tries to throw the kitchen sink at it at the start and give up as soon as they haven’t lost weight in 1 week.
Also the shift of focus from i hate being fat to i just want to feel better. All my diets for wanting to just be lean failed, my current 4 months one has been great and its cause i just want to be healthier and fit for my kids.
