  • Developing your wonderkids is one of the best things in FM23. But what is best for their development: Loaning them out or keeping them as a rotational option? In this video, I discuss a small experiment trying to find out how you can improve your FM23 wonderkids the most!

    Interesting. From my personal experience playing I do notice that vast majority of players I loan out don't really develop much based on progress graph. Maybe 10-20% of them show any noticable growth. On the other hand most of my rotation guys progress at least somewhat. I thought it had more to do with selection bias as I tend to keep the best prospects around.

    Training facilities matter a lot of here, together with staff quality. Still, a surprising outcome nevertheless. Especially on the Diomande doppelgänger.
    If you take Ajax for example. With a bit of effort you can have Jong Ajax become champions and basically become the best team in the KKD. And they make use of the best facilities NL has to offer. I hardly ever loan out players with Ajax, only if I have a surplus of a certain position so they lack playtime. Crazy development like that. With other clubs it's much harder, especially in Spain. The B teams suck and cannot be managed by yourself.
    Loaning out in the same league to a club with great facilities on atleast regular starter, is a thing I consider a good move. The league must be playable aswell, otherwise I don't bother. Redundant players who I cannot sell, any club will do, especially if I can sabotage their carreer :)

    • @coachroan
      @coachroan  Год назад

      I fully agree with training facilities playing a huge part in this, which I tried to incorporate in the experiment by sending the players out on loan to teams with some of the best facilities in the Championship.
      Jong Ajax can definitely be an OP team in the KKD, still feels a bit weird to have the Jong teams in the second division here in the NL!
