@@shermanhunte5680 The difference in the level of depth between fifa and FM is really amazing. Before you know it, you'll be analyzing passing patterns at 3 AM!
I’ve just created same tactic with OM in France using assistant manager advise ie in possession In transition and out of possession. Obviously my player duties on the pitch differ from this tactic. What I want to know are all player instruction set to hardcoded so you can’t change them ? Say I wanted a player to hold up the ball but in his instructions it’s not there can you change it if so how.
Certain roles will have instructions hard set for them, as they define that role. You are able to add personal instructions next to the hard set ones though, so you can customize the roles to your liking!

With great passing attributes in your team, you're basically free to choose how you want to set up your passing play. Do you have very quick attackers? Maybe you want to use your players vision to launch fast and precise through balls with more direct passing. Do you want to fully dominate a match? Maybe you want to focus on short passing to create interplay and dominate possesion. It will really depend on what kind of football you want to play, and what other qualities your team has

Thanks, blij dat je het leuk vond! Ik krijg normaal altijd Ten Hag te horen, dus Slot is weer eens wat anders. Kale Nederlandse coaches zijn wel de hype nu
"Orsic is one of the best players in the team" - proceeds to play him out of his best position and wastes the trait of cutting inside from the left wing. Very confusing messages.
Thanks for the comments, some interesting points for sure. My idea behind the passing instruction was to focus on shorter, "simpler" passes while keeping the tempo high, so to not focus on keeping possession, but to strike quickly on an opponent. The original plan was to have Orsic out wide, but as I explained in the video I wanted to put some more constant pressure in central areas, so I opted for using him as an AM. What I specifically wanted from him was using his quality finishing, which I believe he can do from that AM position. But you're absolutely free to disagree with my choices! The main point of this video was to display a method for building a tactic, but everyone will have their own opinions on what the best ways to fill that in will be! It's exactly what makes the game so great!
@@coachroan I agreed with what you were saying, just then felt confused by the tactic as it felt a little contradictory. Interesting how others interpret the game...I'd always think of possession football being related to shorter passing but looks like you've interpreted it with tempo. Just feels a shame there is such an obvious meta this year, as whatever 'style' you try to create, can't get away from short passing, higher tempo, counter press, counter attack, higher lines of pressing and trigger press much more often. Keep up the good work :)
@@alecdolman598 yeah there's definitely a lot of ways to interpret the instructions (just like real life!) Makes it even more important to try out different combinations and see what results in what. I for sure agree that there's a meta this year. While it's a shame, there's definitely other tactics that can still work, just not as optimally as you'd want. It then comes down to what you appreciate more, unique or optimal tactics. Glad to hear you're enjoying the videos!
Don't worry, building tactics yourself is one of the most difficult parts of the game! Are there any specific things you're struggling with? Maybe I can help you out!

Playing that kind of football at that level is certainly a challenge! Just make sure that the roles and instructions you''re asking your players to play matches their individual abillities
Well there's a couple of things that can cause this situation. I think there's two important things to analyze here: Who is getting the chances? Is it the player that you want to get chances (probably your striker), or is it someone else (maybe a wingback with poor finishing keeps getting shots of). Secondly, in what situations are you taking shots? Is it clear cut chances, or are they all situations where there are a lot of defenders able to block the shot etc.? Once you got a clear picture of where your attacking play is falling down, you can then think about a tactical remedy to help you score some more goals!
A couple of things that can help that is: 1-lower your tempo as this can cause players to rush the game and take longer shots etc etc. 2- another thing I have found is dropping your mentality from attacking to positive, or positive to balanced which can again drop the players going all out in shooting. 3- try using work the ball into the box. 4- telling certain players to shoot less often, especially players such as inside forwards, inverted winger and shadow striker if they don't have good long shot and finishing skills. This is just what I have found with personal experience on football manager over the years, it is frustrating when you have 25 shots with 6 on target and 1 goal it generally means your tactical style or player instructions need a slight adjustment(but you are on the right track creating them chances).
I'm sorry to hear that my friend. Is there anything specific that still confuses you? Maybe I can still help you out! And if my videos aren't working for you, that's okay too. There's a lot of other great content creators out there who might suit you better, so don't let it deter you from this awesome game!
Coach you dont explain right TI..you say if not good with stamina play low slow tempo,it is not correct..no it is instruction for passing no for pressing

I am beginning to like fm more than fifa.....cant believe I just said that, but its true.
I love the tactical side of soccer/football !!!!
One of us, one of us, one of us...
No all jokes aside, I'm very happy you're enjoying FM. Made the transition from FIFA to FM myself aswell, and I can tell you that nothing scratches an itch like the tactical depth FM can provide! It might be a bit overwhelming at the start, but you can chose how many responsibilities you want to take on at the start! Watching some tutorials online also always helps, and if you have any questions I'd be happy to help!
@coachroan don't get me wrong ..fifa or eafc is nice, but its not deep enough. It doesn't work properly either. I'm amazed of all the data and technical systems in fm manager!
@@shermanhunte5680 The difference in the level of depth between fifa and FM is really amazing. Before you know it, you'll be analyzing passing patterns at 3 AM!
This channel is so underrated - great work mate
Thanks man, I appreciate it!
TYSM!!
You're absolutely welcome my friend!
Ten Hag says facts
I’ve just created same tactic with OM in France using assistant manager advise ie in possession In transition and out of possession. Obviously my player duties on the pitch differ from this tactic. What I want to know are all player instruction set to hardcoded so you can’t change them ? Say I wanted a player to hold up the ball but in his instructions it’s not there can you change it if so how.
Certain roles will have instructions hard set for them, as they define that role. You are able to add personal instructions next to the hard set ones though, so you can customize the roles to your liking!
@@coachroan How do I do that please
@@coachroan sussed it thank you
hey man nice video! Can you tell at skin do you use? thanks in advance!
Thanks for the kind words mate! The skin I'm using is the Tato23 skin www.fmscout.com/a-fm23-skin-tato.html
@@coachroan thank you man, appreciate. Keep up the good work and your channel will blow up massively.
@@ΆκηςΠρωάκης Really appreciate the support! I'll keep improving video to video, and we'll see where the channel goes! At least I already know I've got some great people like you around already
binary options really changed my life! I bought a new car after I start to work with them
My team have good players with passing and vision. What should be the passing directness of my team?
With great passing attributes in your team, you're basically free to choose how you want to set up your passing play. Do you have very quick attackers? Maybe you want to use your players vision to launch fast and precise through balls with more direct passing. Do you want to fully dominate a match? Maybe you want to focus on short passing to create interplay and dominate possesion. It will really depend on what kind of football you want to play, and what other qualities your team has
Do you know how to find the pros and cons on Xbox because we don’t have squad planner
I unfortunately don't own a console that can run FM right now, so I cannot help you. I now that SiMaggio, an awesome creator, makes content on FM23 Console. You can check out his channel, see if any of his videos help you out, or if not you can ask him a question or two www.youtube.com/@SiMaggio
Great video! Earned a sub from me!
Thanks man! Appreciate the kind words, and welcome aboard!
heerlijke video arne slot
Thanks, blij dat je het leuk vond! Ik krijg normaal altijd Ten Hag te horen, dus Slot is weer eens wat anders. Kale Nederlandse coaches zijn wel de hype nu
Yes we make very crazy tactic but how fm understunt we dont now
since fm21 i became so obsessive using 4 attackers 😭 cannot stop to see wave after wave attacking football at my screen over and over 😭
No better defence than a great offence. What's been your favourite 4 attacker tactic?
where is the link to this site
All the links referenced in the video can be found in the description!
Surely sing shorter passing goes against what you're arguing about Southampton not being good passers and not wanting to keep possession?
Glad to hear you're enjoying the videos!
thanks Roan but still hard to me
Don't worry, building tactics yourself is one of the most difficult parts of the game!
Are there any specific things you're struggling with? Maybe I can help you out!
@@coachroanthanks you so much ! I love this game so much ! But in my country we dont play FM to much ! So i half to learning some forum, youtuber ! And i like your chanel ! Very simple to me

@@coachroanyes roan ! I will sent you my problem soon ! Watting your next video 🎉
@@coachroanhi roan ! Can you help me ? The mentality ? What it’s mean ? When away i should play balance and at home i should play positive or attack ?
Attributes will be commensurate with the division you're managing in. There's no advantage to be had there.
Meanwhile me trying to force my low tier league team to play like prime Barcelona with tiki taka
Playing that kind of football at that level is certainly a challenge! Just make sure that the roles and instructions you''re asking your players to play matches their individual abillities
4:58 No.
honestly it doesnt even mether i create 30chances my players just cant hit the goal
A couple of things that can help that is:
1-lower your tempo as this can cause players to rush the game and take longer shots etc etc.
8, 9, ten Hag!
Hopefully you enjoyed the Ten Hag cameo!
I'd say Ten Hag is your copycat, he lost 7-0, u didn't lol
