  • I demonstrate how to replace your cabin air filter on your 1998 to 2002 Honda Accord. This is the filter for the air conditioning/heater for your car. It is separate from your engine air filter.

I have a 2001 accord and pretty much everything about the car is a hassle as far as any repairs or maintenance. Things are hard to reach, tight spaces, and you usually have to disassemble and remove non-related parts in order to get to the parts that you want to work on. But it’s a great car!!!😊

Air filter (good charcoal ones $16 for two) but if you want a mechanic to do this, it will be $150 per hour! Thanks for the video, as I was able to do it! Of all the things on the 2001 Honda Accord models, cabin air filter placement is retardedly designed by Honda!
My other car (the Lexus RX450h) takes 2 minutes to replace the cabin air filter. And literally 30 seconds to replace the engine air filter. That has the BEST DESIGN for engine air filter replacement. So simple that you can do with both eyes closed! LOL!

They did in the later models. My 2005 Accord requires no screws at all and takes 10 seconds to get to the cabin air filter

Im guessing that back then they didnt want to mold inject as many plastic parts for convenience like they do on todays cars.

They make it harder to do so you take it to a dealership which costs over $150 to replace it.

@@michaell3711 probably best to buy a service manual that is for Honda inspires like this repairmanualnow.com/product/1996-honda-inspire-2nd-gen-service-and-repair-manual/

Cut an access panel in the back if the glovebox, cubon or plastic weld a clip on it, then you can get the filter cabin popped open and you can wiggle the filters in and out
