There is nothing inherently wrong with the new narrator. But we're so used to hearing Andrew's godly delivery that it's hard for anyone else to match.
That said, I'm rooting for you guys. Looking forward to future videos.

@@YusufEbr It's not his voice, it was the stiffness and too often 'down' tone of the descriptions. No one wants to hear that a watch doesn't match some features found at the high end but we love hearing when it does! i.e. So much as is possible, itemize only good points.We already know when specs for a watch aren't likely to match Patek Philippe, F.P. Journe, etc. Tell us when and how it does.
One of my favorite 'Andrew" videos offers a watch with virtually NO quality beyond it’s basic nice appearance and price - 1 cent!
I might never buy one but I’m kind of amused to know that it’s there.
Who made you the "voice of reason"? This stilted performance sounds like it's being read for the first time from a script written by poorly developed AI. The humour and delivery has gone. Yes, it might improve but the change at Watchfinder is similar to the loss of the "holy trinity" at Top Gear.... and we all know how that went

The Seagull 1863 is a hand wound chronograph that’s a bit fugly in the back. But for $175- $250 it is the same movement as a studio Underdog but with a much less playful dial

Personally I find his voice easier to listen on speaker since Andy's voice can be to bassy somehow on speaker.

"Affordable" means something entirely different to me than it does to you.
I mean yea, the example watches are not affordable, but the alternatives they show are in most price ranges

What a lot of people overlook is that good narration _is voice acting._ Anyone can read a script or product copy; it takes acting skills, by practice or natural talent, to inject it with enthusiasm and a sense of emotion.

The big thing they may not be able to replicate is the quality of the script....the whit and funny comments are what was special as much as the delivery.

Andrew is a terrific copy writer and he and Tom were great together. Like Crosby and Hope, Laurie and Frye, Arm and Hammer....you get the point. Tom has the irreverent perspective I think the industry needs more of.
They should have just paid, rewarded, promoted Andrew accordingly to what he deserved for playing a huge part in making the company what it is today (Which they obviously didn't do as he left and isn't rich)
Just some constructive criticism, but try not to sound like you’re reading off of a sheet. Because it’s really obvious at the moment.

You need a writer and a voice actor, Watch Finder. You can't make a simple substitution.
I think some folks here need to learn some humility. If it was the other way round and you took a shot at narrating a video that gets thousands upon thousands of views you too would be worried about mistakes and have a script nearby.
People need time to learn their craft and find their own way of doing things. It's also a team behind the videos. Saying the script is bland and the voice monotonous is harsh as it could be two different people creating the content.
Lastly, to all those stating that they shouldn't be labelled as affordable you are missing the point somewhat. This is a brand that wants to sell high end pieces their aim is not volume sales and so whilst they are showing watches that are thousands of pounds they are marketing themselves as a cheaper pre owned option. You also meed to consider that affordable is relative. All of these watches are affordable given enough income. It just happens that 99% of us aren't on that income. We are not necessarily the target market here.

I know there's been a big change with Andrew leaving and it being a new person voicing. But let's remember two things, 1 Andrew was pretty average in his first videos and 2, the macro shots are still amazing

Welcome to the channel. It wasn’t bad, but you need to practice the pace. It definitely looked like someone who isn’t used to read out loud. The accent is harder to understand by non-English natives. Don’t give up. Practice makes perfect.
This is like when your team gets relegated from the prem and you keep telling yourself the games are still just as enjoyable and you'll be back up soon

If you talk about chronographs, I expect you to mention the beat rate, whether it's column wheel or not, whether it's vertical clutch or not. Andrew could weave the frills to distract from those factual points, which, in my mind, has never been a good thing, but you clearly can't, so, how about mentioning key technical details about very technical devices?

Patek Philippe had to invent a seal of their own, because they weren't eligible for the Geneva seal, because they adopted silicon hairsprings.

A suggestion about the narration. (since that's all we are talking about :-) Don't try to be Andrew. The objective will be to find your own voice. Or perhaps your own "style" is a better way of saying it. Seeing who among the remaining team can be "most like Andrew" will just make us all go nuts.
Maybe make a video where you have a collection of styles from a lot of different potential narrators. And see if the internet can provide feedback (that would be fun). Perhaps throw in some obvious losers in there because you know we will want to rag on someone. You also might want to consider playing with the music as well. Trying different styles of music. The old music was associated with Andrew for so long, I'm not sure how we can hear it and not thing "That's weird..."
