I think so how much do we trust a Pats offense that looked helter skelter vs Tennessee? Their defense is good but they’re not 2000 Ravens good. And at some point, they are overdue for a loss with all their narrow escapes
Still remember to this day how dejected Dante Hall was in the postgame. Even with a lackluster defense, it looked like the Chiefs could have gone to Super Bowl 38 that year. I know that due to the modern day legend that is Patrick Mahomes, this 2003 campaign gets lost in the shuffle at times, but I'd still rank this Chiefs offense right up there with the best in franchise history. They were incredible efficient from 2002 to 2005. Just had next to no help on the other side of the rock.
When the chiefs would fold in years like 97 2003 I would always think of that snickers commerciial with the grounds keeper misprinting chiiefs... "That's great man but who are the chefs....'
Say what you want about the Chiefs defense, but two plays that cost them this game were on the other side of the ball: 1. Priest Holmes’ fumble after a long run deep into Indy territory 2. Morten Andersen missing a short FG
This game exposed the Chiefs as a two dimensional team for everyone nationwide to see: they were phenomenal on offense and special teams but like I said in a comment before their schedule made their defense seem a bit more respectable than they really were. Nah these Chiefs were just the 02 Chiefs with a bigger stage to fail on
@@chrisuncleahmad All those other teams played in somewhat tougher divisions…other than the Broncos who did these Chiefs really have to worry about? An old Raiders team? The somewhat talented but dysfunctional Chargers?
@@JahNuhThunDeeTheOneAndOnly the 2010 Chiefs also won the AFCW that year with a MUCH better defense. If only the 03 Chiefs offense had the 2010 KC defense
Their defense almost faltered in Oakland to a backup QB with virtually no nfl playing experience during the regular season and they even got upset by Cincy. Their offense and special team from 03 was legendary but they arguably weren’t better than Denver.
Indy with its second divisional round win at Arrowhead in 8 years and would get two more playoff wins against them until Chiefs finally won one in 2018
That 2018 win against the Colts in Arrowhead was the first postseason home win since Montana was their QB in '93 & the final game of Andrew Luck's career.
I remember reading somewhere where Damien Woody who played for the Pats said the 2003 Colts were talented but could they take a punch? Of course against the Pats the Colts would fold like clothes on laundry day.
So…. Pats at Colts, the 11/30 rematch It won’t be another 38-34 game ala that one, but how much do we trust a Pats offense that looked helter skelter vs Tennessee? Their defense is good but they’re not 2000 Ravens good. And at some point, they are way overdue for a loss
As much as I didn't like Peyton n the Colts, this was a hell of an entertaining game to watch... First and only time I can remember seeing a puntless game
Would KC have had a better chance against the Titans? I think so- as great as Air McNair was, I don’t think he would have gone an entire game without punting.
NAH this Chiefs defense was trash and the Titans would have been able to pass all over them…although the Titans defense wasn’t really that much better than the Chiefs
Going back to previous years. Outside of Gruden’s Raiders: beat the Chiefs 3 previous times, 2-0 vs the Chargers, and remember he won at Denver in the snow last year
Pats offense has been helter skelter and you think at some point with this long win streak they are WAY overdue for a loss with all these lucky escapes
Pats offense has been helter skelter and you think at some point with this long win streak they are WAY overdue for a loss with all these lucky escapes
Irony- in a game with no punts, the thumbnail for this game featured a punter
The Colts went back to back entire playoff games without punting. I feel that is a very overlooked accomplishment.
Thanks to bad turnovers and a bad snap the colts won't put much in the afc title game eitherl 😆
I forgot they never punted against Denver

The Bears defense choked during the playoff loss!😂
Pour one out for Priest Holmes. 3 straight incredible seasons, no playoff wins to show for it. At least he got a ring in Baltimore.

2nd puntless game period (it had been a decade since the OG no punt game in 92)
Chiefs had a home playoff game against the Ravens in 2010
One of the most exciting playoff games start to finish I can ever remember.
This year's playoffs gave us this, St Louis vs Carolina, Green Bay vs Philadelphia and a great Super Bowl. Not bad
“Manning to Harrison- silly precise”
From 2003 until his retirement, Peyton was consistently lethal. I miss watching him 😔
Punters not required in this game
Peyton has backed up his new MVP status this Postseason. Can he continue his good play in Foxborough?

Yea but it meant the Chiefs had to be perfect every step of the way afterwards just to merely catch up because their defense couldn’t get a key stop

You just had a feeling KC's defense would eventually bite them when it mattered most.
Many thought the same of Indy’s defense
The offensive PI call changes the game. I have no clue what in the hell that official was looking at.
