Yeah lol, that was really a bad call by Hasselback, by the way you usually do the "this marks" for the playoffs when teams play, what does this game mark for these teams?
One of the last playoff games for Favre where he didn't cost his team. You could make some arguments but to me he couldnt get it done when it truly mattered in the playoffs
He was the biggest reason the Packers never won another title after his first. Rodgers gets compared to him a lot due to the 1 ring situation, and it’s pretty unfair cuz Rodgers has had the team around him stripped out of their championship window while Favre threw his team out of their championship window
@@DanJilek I mean, he outplayed Brady pretty handily in that NFC title game, and he carved up a defense that shut down Patrick Mahomes (obviously the o-line injuries played a big part in that). Rodgers takes teams that aren’t supremely talented and elevates them. Unfortunately, a QB can only do so much.
I remember coming back with friends back from his parents time share just in the middle of the 4th quarter. I remember this very well when this happened. Still, the Seahawks were finally able to taste the playoffs again thanks to Holmgren after 4 seasons.
1:35 that's a PIVOTAL missed tackle by Randall Godfrey, who is probably happy that Matt Hasselbeck made everyone forget about it. I think Seattle wins this game if they get the stop.
As someone has mentioned in the past, the Packers beat up on bad teams and look generally unimpressive against good teams. If McNabb beat them on a Monday night at Lambeau, he’ll beat them at the Linc. Rams-Eagles NFC title game II here we come.
Sad part is that Seattle’s receivers were once again responsible for their own demise. Alex Bannister ran the wrong route, he was supposed to run an outside curl out instead of a hitch, and Harris read the throw instead of the receiver. Don’t blame Hasselback for this one, blame the special teamer who was a receiver in disguise
I remember for a couple years there the Seattle receivers had a terrible reputation for dropping passes. They were good productive receivers, just inconsistent. It would cost them again the following year in the playoffs.
@@TheAlfrulz it cost them a couple games this year as well. I remember the end of the Washington game where the ball bounced right off the receiver’s hands and into the Redskins’ cornerback
“We want the ball and we’re gonna score”
Hasselbeck: "We want the ball and we're gonna score"
Al Harris: I took that personally
😂
We all remember this game for one thing
Matt Hasselbeck had a real nice career, but that ill fated prediction will forever be what he is remembered for.
Famous last words by Mr. Hasselbeck
Seahawks: We want the ball and we're gonna score.
Packers: You can have the ball, but it won't be you doing the scoring.
Hasselback: "We want the ball, we're gonna score!"
Al Harris: "Um, yeah bro, I'mma 'bout to take that one personally". ;-)

Matt Hasselbeck: Tom Brady confidence, Nathan Peterman delivery.
😂
Packers: We rolling now with 5 straight wins. No stopping us.

So much for Seattle’s 1 game road winning streak
The first playoff game that I remember watching.
The Packers got their revenge on Mike Holmgren in a BIG way and the Seahawks displayed their road woes for the entire country to see.
To think we could have had Packers/Vikings III had the Seahawks not won on the road last Saturday
I mean their woes where their qbs mouth writing checks his ass can't cash...
@@chrisuncleahmad no problem, we still handled them in their place next year when it actually mattered

Can anyone ID the song used? It's usually reserved for NFL/NCAA Football game recaps on Sportscenter.
You can hear it on NFL 2K3.
Hey unlike last season the Packers were able to win at home in the playoffs…back to business as usual
Until next season.
@@Mark-xl1ze The bigger takeaway was that the Packers were no longer invincible at home in the playoffs starting in 2002.
Vick and the Falcons got lucky for one game last January

So next week it’s Packers/Eagles, a MNF rematch from November 10.
