@tojj29 The (2010) GSX1250 that I got from Alex only had 7300 last July and its not burst 13,000 miles and its a bloody amazing machine and I can see why the Bandits were so popular. I have the Mivv exhaust on my bike and have the huge original can to my mate and you're right, the oem can weighs an absolute tonne lol
Some bikes you’ve had there mate, I’ve ridden quite a few of the ones you’ve had and I must admit along the theme of the fjr and beemer, I would have given my left arse cheek for a tourer like those one the way down to Germany and back for those motorway stints. I would have loved a go on the RD as well 😍. I had a 650 versys and ridden the 1000, I loved mine but I was massive on it, I looked like donkey kong, but for a bike I’d consider a commuter, it ate up those twisties and I did the NC500 on it. The issue I had with the 650 was the clutch cable and the fact on a straight, with a strong head wind and a guy who didn’t want me to overtake him in his mondeo caused me major issues on the NC500. I got back and swapped that bike for the tracer 900. I loved the tracer, but I found it lacking on long sweeping bends, tight ones were great, but the long sweepers it just felt a bit twitchy. I rode the 955 sprint, loved it, but loved my 1st and 2nd vfr more, but the sprint was very close to that bike, I just liked the additional character and engine note change when the “v tec kicked in innit bro” on the vfr. Quite a selection and glad you are back out mate 🙌
Cheers John, yeah quite a few. I remembered another 5 after I'd done the video. I'm as bad for changing my cars too. Both the RD's were lovely to ride, the LC was the nicer one. Not back riding yet after the op, but hopefully not too much longer 🤞
Brilliant buddy & you win, compared to my 6!!! 😎👍 Waw a Yamaha RD250 I've got a story to tell about 1 of those which I'd totally forgotten all about until i seen yours!!! 😮😂🤣👍
Blimey, you've had loads of bikes. We've had lots of the same bikes, especially those early two strokes. I unsurprisingly ran Suzuki Bandits for some years. That 1200 air/oiled machine really hooked me back into biking after years off when the kids were young. Loved my Versys but not as much as my MT10 which I've just riden around the Pyrenees
great line up mate, like you I have few pictures of the bikes I've had.. well only one and that was my 1994 Bandit 600. That Kwak is very nice, can see myself on one one day. Hope the shoulder's on the mend. Chin up old bean
Cheers Nick, had a few 🤣 and that's not all of them! The Kwak is nice, but have to say that R1200RT was probably THE best bike for me at the weight I am these days. The shoulder felt really good for the first two weeks after having it done. The last few days it's been playing up again 🤦😕 Hopefully it's just getting used to doing stuff again 🤞 They covered all bases, they said the op might work, might not work or could even make it worse 🤣
@@tojj29 it's always the risk of surgery - I could do with Laparoscopic surgery to strengthen the muscle at the top of my stomach or omeprazole for life (been on it for well over a decade) but reading the issues that can result from it, like difficulty swallowing, uh uh - nope. My mrs grandaughter had 2 rounds of spinal surgery due to dwarfism and curvature of the spine. Round 2 was damned if you do, damned if you don't and it left he unable to walk for for a time and she has never regained full mobility.
@@icedidi yeah, always a chance you take with it. I've gotta see the surgeon again in a couple of weeks, so hopefully it's sorted itself out by then. I think the bicep tendonitis is something I'm gonna have to put up with. See, all those years ago when ya mum used to say that if you keep rubbing that thing that quick, you'll go blind. It was lies, it just buggers ya shoulders up and gives you bicep tendonitis😜🤣👍
Absolutely bonkers speed. It really did make think what an idiot I'd been going that fast. If anything like a fox or badger ran out, that was that. Also, get caught and it's bye bye licence
@@tojj29 I had one of the last carburetted models T reg in red , loved it but bad knees meant I had to give it up , I'd stop and fall off 🤣 more upright now
Christ! Thought that was a pic if my Fizzy! Yellow 'speed block', 1976 FS1E DX, with the disc brake and the flimsy tent pole down tubes to make it look like a full cradle frame 😂
A nice history of bikes there, I'm impressed! My Dad has had a good few over the years, mostly V-Twins, he's currently got a Honda Pan European (which belonged to his late brother) and an Aprilia.
Yes, we've had a few. I forgot about 5 others that I didn't put in the video too🤦 Those Pans are bloody good bikes, go on forever. My mate has one, he loves it. The Apillia's aren't built for people like me with a large gut in the way 🤪🤣 Thanks for watching 👍
Brilliant vid Nige, that is some history you have and got to say you go through bikes like cameras 🤣🤣🤣I cannot believe you went from that beautiful Yamaha to that pot ugly Suzuki, I think that is the new definition of madness 🤣🤣🤣
I know Al, my biggest ever regret getting rid of that XJR, beautiful bike in beautiful condition. That fugly was a nice bike, just had the looks only a mother could love 😂 And yes, we have had a few. That's not all of them either, that's just the ones I could remember off the top of my head. I've thought of another 5 since I did the video 🤣🤣🤣🤣and there's probably more 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Interesting motorcycle career 👍 I know what you mean about a shaft drive. I'd forgive my Honda all its flaws if it had been shaft drive. As a youth I destroyed countless Kawasaki GT550 and GT750, used to pick them up for pennies, loved the way they handled. Then had a few ST1100's as the bikes got bigger
Gosh Nige more bikes than a TAYM mutter, some nice ones into the bargain, classics if you know what I mean but not in the general sense of the word. I hope that shoulder heals soon, then let's see which bikes feature in the future 🤔🙄😯😊
Nicely presented!
@@flatcapcaferacer Thanks Jerry, I forgot a few as well 😂
Great video Nige and thats some collection of bikes you've had 👌
Cheers Sean, believe it or not I thought of another 5 after I'd made that video 🤣
That GSX1250 was a really low mileage cracker. Huge exhaust though 🤣

I loved my R1150RT! Reason I bought the Concours. It too is an amazing bike! Thanks for the run through of your toys of the years past!😊
I had a go on the 1150rt, as you say great bikes too.
I missed 5 off of that video too🤦
Need to stop changing so often I think.
