I ordered my Cybertruck January 26, 2021. By all accounts, I could get mine sometime in 2025 (I live in Canada). There’s a couple of times a week, I wish I had the CT already and my current truck is getting expensive to maintain but I will keep until the CT arrives. No new model of anything is going to be perfect so the annoyance of waiting is offset by watching the bugs discovered and fixed.
I had an appointment to see my oncolgist at the hospital yesterday and unfortunately didn't have my smartphone on me. Otherwise, I would send you a picture of Cybertruck which was painted a very nice shade of blue. I didn't know they had a range of colors. Also, it didn't seem as large as I expected it to be. Thanks for all your videos.
Yes, many owners wrap their cars. Wrap is similar to vinyl, but it is a little thicker and lasts longer. When painting, the process and all the preparations require a lot of work. Of course, you must also notify the DMV when you change the color of your car. The wrap is not permanent and can be peeled off at any time. There is no need to notify the DMV either. If the car is wrapped, there are no fingerprints on the car. Mostly on the doors because Cybertruck doesn't have a handle.
noise and or vibration usually signals a defective bearing. a single ball bearing likely supports both sides of the rotor. a failure mechanism might be balls that didn’t get heat treated or some balls didn’t and if so, the ball material breaks off and then rotates as the bearing does creating noise or vibration. Or the actual race ways that the balls run in could suffer the same faults.. disassembly of the noisy unit will expose the issue. or debris contaminated the lubricant at some point in the process.
The reason the rear motors are induction is because when shut off the rotors become spinning pieces of metal with no interaction with the stater. The PM motor when shut off begins generating eddy currents in the stater. This produces heat and drag. By the way the rotors in Tesla motors are copper core not aluminum. More efficient but more expensive to make.
Had a gm full-size van. When just out of warranty, I had to replace covers on the engine as they were too weak and broke ....10 years later.....same issue with the new models. Gm wasn't as nice as tesla, and they didn't fix the problem on the production line, even when It was a known problem. 45 years later, It was the last gm I ever purchased, such short-term thinking on their part.
If you were born and raised in new York you'd know too, she's my family's Broker for 3yrs till now and a very good one if you asked me. No doubt she is the one that helped you get where you are!!!!
It's a miracle and I would testify, 110K bucks every 4weeks! I now have a big mansion and can now afford anything and also support God's work and the church.
THe induction motors are not super efficient and do not work for regenerative breaking. It would be an upgrade to have an axial flux motor in the back. Or an outrunner brushless motor , each have super torque.
I wish they would just fix the windscreen wipers!! If it’s spitting they don’t turn and it’s so frustrating trying to control these while you drive. Basic stuff Tesla!
Perhaps it’s the new non-ferrous metal that Tesla talked about I think over a year ago in the motor? The Robotaxi reveal got moved and it’s no longer in August. It got pushed to October for more design changes.
Option 3: They have a new motor design they want to beta test and they looked at driving data from each truck and picked a statistical sampling of those who drove in a way that it could benefit the needed dataset. Option 4: Its also possible that they want to get a dataset of wear patterns to determine whether the current designs are holding up to their standards. Nothing beats empirical data. But all this is speculative. The reality is in ICE vehicles its really obvious what components will be the first to go. But you drive a statistical sample for a long duration (this is where the Indy 500 came from) and you tear it down afterward and see how well you did with your theoretical margins. With electric motors its much harder. These things CAN and SHOULD go 1M miles. So the question at hand is - how did we do and maybe we could get some back for evaluation. There is no doubt the Cybertruck was a compromise after slipping schedule and Gigapress issues. So evaluate and improve and drop the price to where intended confident in the refinements.
Cant we all admit that u can do a sweet carbon fiber shell n ditch the stupid deep refrig cladding that ways too much and will soon be a child or school bus killer? Just use alum frame and super light weight -- do really care it stops bullets? Owners pull ur heads out n demand a much better truck then the thing really flys for really far
It's probably just the simple fact that they designed a new powerful motor that works without those magnets, and just want to test it in real-world usage.
Actually in the 2014 Ferrari F12 i have the AC fan speed lowers when you're on a phone call ( totally annoying by the way ) and it also lowers when you open the window which i must say is the dumbest thing i've ever seen... it just seems like it'd be good but not so much

The high-voltage battery may experience a short circuit within the battery modules
If you have a quad motor Cybertruck, how many good motors will it have? Maybe 75% If you have a tri-motor, with one bad motor, then you'd have 66% good motors...
Never a good idea to buy the first year model of a US made vehicle. There are always bugs to work out with the first year. Fortunately, more software is being introduced and is easier to change and update with EVs. The electro and mechanical moving parts will always be subject to wear and tear.
What about the big stuff, like what is wrong with the motor they are replacing and how is the new motor any better than what they installed in the first place? That would be useful info. The rest is hype and fluff for Tesla fanboys
The wealthy understand beta versions as the masses want 100% perfection for only $20 vs $100. Expensive low volume version arrive first. The original model S and X owners overpaid to allow the masses later with the model 3 then Y. Remember the costs of the first microwave and plasma tv. Anyway, Tesla being proactive vs reactive. Good to see. maybe Boeing Max planes pushed out too soon trying to beat Airbus 350
The CyberTruck is the most hideous thing on the road. Which is a weird turn for Tesla, because they started by making the first great looking EV. Up until that point, all EVs looked like plastic toy buckets or vacuum cleaners.

More like penny pinching 🤏 and using people as test subjects. Also your TV doesn’t carry your family around. So that doesn’t hold any weight in how dangerous these vehicles actually are to the people around them. Also camera only FSD is the most dumb thing out there, they’re making excuses not to use LiDAR which saves them money. LiDAR can see through fog, rain, smoke, dust, sleet and many other mediums, which cameras cannot. Very dumb putting profit above safety.

The AC lowering phonecall thing actually happens on quit a few models already.
Yeah this happens on my Chevy Volt , and to be honest its not a feature i like. Can be annoying when its super-hot in the car and your AC turns down.

At least it's not turning on the heater, thinking it's the A/C, like the bus I was on. 😅

Young kids having that much power in a vehicle is crazy. I like the option it gives parents.

Most cars with built in bluetooth already lower the fan speed when a call is active, Tesla included.
Even when using manual fan speed.
My old Ford would lower the AC when you took a call. I dont think it's an uncommon feature.
Thank you Tesla management for your good working ❤, God 🙏💯 bless you
Is Tesla now making them rust-free, able to be washed without shorting out, with body panels that don't fall off when driving? No? Oh well...
I wonder if the current cyber truck motors are over heating expanding and seize after x amount of hours? Poor shaft bearing cooling?
