Where does J Cole's career go from here? In any other era his career would be over for bowing out, after dissing a guy and not allowing him to respond. But in the self health, feelings are important era, does that save him? Or did he take steps back in his career? Definitely can't scream that top spot again!

Kendrick, sadly, said it best: *this is HIPHOP and them niggas **_should_** know what time it is*
I rock with Cole the most bc his music reached me in a way that proverbially spoke to me; he is the most relatable to me.
He reminds me of my big brother, born the same year, and his words are the same. I didn’t have Kenny's hood upbringing or Drake's appeal, but my hometown is a lot like Cole's.
That all said, Kdot does have the best blend, as JC put it, and thus it was imperative for Cole and Drake to give him all they got lyrically.
Right now, Kenny's sitting pretty as that nigga in hiphop; he's got everyone thinking they can't compete or something, apologizing and tripping over themselves.
I liked Might Delete Later, but if I'm being honest even that had 80-90٪ of the venom I think Cole could have and needed to spew to get at Kendrick.

He doesn’t feel like he should have to disrespect his peers and say stuff that isn’t true to be competitive. That’s what he apologized for. He’s always felt his body of work should speak for itself. He’s never been one for the gimmicks. It’s honorable that he’s successful while staying true to his values and morals.

Having Rivalry clashes in Hip Hop is inevitable..the problem is when labels, industry heads and publicist create narratives in order to fuel it into something outside of what it was intended to be. While the artist has to deal with the fall out they in turn profit off of it.(Look up Jim Jones interview about Dipset,Jayz, and 50 beef as they admitted to labels using the 90s beefs as a marketing tool for brothers to cook up false controversy against each other in order to boost ratings and profit) I don't think its a reach to say that Cole may have felt like he didn't wanna be apart of that especially with a guy he didn't have many issues with to begin with personally and in essence risk his relationship for the fans entertainment. Its all well and fun for the sport until the artist themselves have to engage with that other person outside of rap. While we don't. I do get the 80 percents stance on keeping it Hip Hop but I also understand the 20 percent reasons as well. All 3 of these guys are pushing 40 and have cemented themselves in Hip Hop. There's not much left for them to prove at this point. But at the end of the day people are gonna Fuc with who they wanna Fuc with regardless of what comes out of this whole Scenario

I mean seriously, people act like it's the end of hip-hop as we know it if we don't see how a battle between Kendrick and Cole would play out. *BFD!* Besides, this was bigger than hip-hop. This was a matter of manhood. And every man has to stand on his principles, even if it means making the unpopular decision. And for Cole, that happened to be issuing an apology and bowing out of any further dust up. None of us have to like it, but none of our opinions matter when we weren't the ones involved. When something you've done doesn't sit right with you, you're only options are to reconcile it or let it fester.

One more thing. I remember when Vic Mensa had made that song Danger for his EP “There’s a Lot Going On.” In the song Danger, Vic had said: “I don’t like way that niggas taking like they bulletproof. Until they gotta find out what a bullet do. Catch two in your Canada goose. It’ll turn a nigga into Proof, ooh!” I think that when he was saying that, I don’t think that he was dissing Drake in a bad way. I just think that he probably was just saying some shit just to be saying it. But Drake had heard it and was all in his feelings about it. So instead of dissing Vic Mensa back for saying that, he was just in his feelings. And he was getting on Vic’s assistant about that line in the song. But I felt like it was Kendrick Lamar, he would’ve responded to him and it would’ve been an all out competition

I mean, J Cole’s music isn’t as good on its own. But he’s definitely does better when he’s on other people’s songs. Drake has gotten lazy and relied on the fact that he’s a big star. And he’s just making hits songs just to outshine Michael Jackson. But that’s isn’t going to last long because someone else can come in and take his place. So Kendrick Lamar is the only one can that can do both. But some people sometimes say that Kendrick Lamar can be too preaching sometimes. And it seems like some of those people who say that just want Kendrick Lamar to release verses. Like the one on Big Sean’s Control song. But I want to see Kendrick Lamar not spread his self too thin. I want to see Kendrick Lamar explore more of himself and more of his artistic style and side

I dont hold nothing against Cole for doing what he did. He knows they both have alot of people around them that love them both equally that aren't rappers, & will eventually take what's being said on wax as disrespect & cross that line into something physical. So before the back in fourth got started & escalated he just deaded the situation. Everybody ain't no gangster or want to bring that type of energy into the music. Personally I think battling is healthy competition for the Culture & was looking fwd to some lyrical sparring but I can understand why he did what he did

IMO, nobody can touch K-Dot. He's on my top MCs EVER. K-Dot should do a song called "F.Y.A. (Fuck You Apology)". Cole having cold sweats still, realizing that he burn a bridge 4 life. 1 thing about Geminis, like Kendrick, they rarely 4give & never 4get. I FW Cole, but he realize that he can't take back what he said, or recorded bout Kung Fu Kenny. Like Nas once said, "You pop shit and apologize."
On the other hand, people aren't totally done with Cole. When he drops "The Fall Out", all the people saying he did some sucka shit, will be the same people that will praise him for The Fall Off
As 4 Disco Drake, he's gonna be singing and crying, "You Broke My Heart" 2 J Cole for apologizing to his opp.
All I'm saying is that nobody ain't touching K-Dot lyrically nowadays. My opinion. Respect it or hate it. IJS
