- Dodge has not given us a truly new vehicle since the introduction of the 2013 Dart. Just over a decade later, the replacement looks to take the compact utility market by swarm with its new Hornet. Thank you, Corey, for this excellent tutorial video in reference to the ALL-NEW 2024 Dodge Hornet GT! I know about those "noisy" Texas roads especially around Amarillo & Wichita Falls, Texas! Quite frankly, Corey, I have been a Dodge fan from day one when my dad took me to get my driver's license! My 1st car was a 1966 Plymouth Sport Fury III with a 383 V8! I have had 5 Dodge Neons and now a Dodge Dart SXT to mention only a few! I can tell that you seem to like the new Dodge Hornet! Take care & thanks again!

Nice looking SUV, with decent power for the class and a handsome interior. Unfortunately, I have crossed it off the list as a potential replacement for my aging Dakota thanks to conversations with the 2 people I know who've purchased a GT and GT Plus and the numerous issues they are having.
As a MOPAR guy, I really wanted one of these over a CX-5, but no way am I going play the dealership service shuffle that they are both currently suffering through. Damn shame.

First time I have seen a complete review of the Hornet. Nice looking crossover. The Dodge emblem on the horn pad should have been made with red bars as an eye catcher. Thanks for the great review and drive!

Yes. RAV and CR-V are much roomier.
Honestly at under $30k you will rarely find a car that’s quite during road noise. I really want to start seeing these fixed up with a larger turbo like the Srt4 was. The hornet has lots of young buyer potential with the EVO gone and the Subaru Wrx not having much competition anymore, time will tell.
The one thing I see thats dumb with that hornet is that Dodge stepped back to what I call the Mercedes and Toyota radio Design that doesn’t belong, looks like they just stuck an iPad on the dashboard and called it a radio, this is common in Toyota and Mercedes not Dodge/Ram/ Jeep.
I hope you can do another review on the road course one day. Thanks man keep up the reviews.

That motor has been out for over 6 years. It has been quite reliable.
How do you go from the Fast and Furious to this?
The Dodge brand is in a major transition, isn't it?
It’s a shame because the customers are supposed to drive the market. Not the other way around. I think if polled their consumer base would rather have their chargers and challengers back. I’ve seen the Instagram posts of their EV and it’s 90/10 against.

I wanted it until I saw 4 cyl. It’s still beautiful though but I think I’ll hold off for a few more years. I know they’re steeping into the new “green” , but this girl loves her speed. I’ll keep my challenger for a bit longer

I come from V8s too but these new turbo 4cyls can move these days! They just don’t have that growl like a v8 muscle car would give you!
It’s turbo charged. I swore I’d never get another 4 cylinder car because they are slow and pokey, but it’s different when it’s turbo charged.
