This video provides you with an introduction to nutrition support. It explains the fundamental differences between enteral nutrition and parenteral nutrition.
Enteral nutrition is sometimes called tube feeding. Parenteral nutrition is intravenous nutrition.
You will learn how to identify patients who would benefit from nutrition support, and how to decide if they should receive enteral nutrition or parenteral nutrition.

Hi Clinical Nutrition University! I am so happy I found this! My medical nutrition therapy applications professor is such a hard grader and she doesn't even explain it visually. She depends on auditory methods. I love your video because I will be learning about enteral nutrition tomorrow. Last week, my professor assumed that we already learned about enteral vs parenteral nutrition but she asked my classmates and I and we all said no. Please tell how to calculate parenteral nutrition calories, CHO, protein and fats... which formulas should be incorporated ... the way you told tube feeding calculation of enteral nutrition was so good and well sequenced... please upload how to calculate parenteral nutrition...
