This video provides an overview of the indications and contraindications for enteral nutrition.
You will learn a basic definition of enteral nutrition, and indication and a contraindication. Then you will see when enteral nutrition should be used, and when enteral nutrition shouldn't be used.
Remember, enteral nutrition is also called tube feeding! It's different from parenteral nutrition, which is intravenous nutrition.

What lab values would you use to diagnose hemodynamic instability? Would it be hypotension blood pressure of
I’d say the most common things clinicians look for are hypotension and vasopressor requirement. It’s generally considered unsafe to feed a patient when they are hypotensive with a mean arterial blood pressure or MAP 0.3-0.5 u/kg/min of norepinephrine/norepinephrine equivalents.
