If NIO doesn't reach at least the 180.000 cars delivered by the end of the year, then I would mean that NIO has probabely some major growth issues. At the size that NIO is at as a company they have to keep a steady and major growth rate. Last year they had multiple factors that influened their production. This year I wanna see numbers reaching the 200.000 cars per year mark.
Not sure when this companies stock will rise, I think they have a marketing problem. Their battery swap is brilliant but it seems they don’t know how to properly market that angle to create the proper buzz it deserves in the US and Europe. Can you just imagine if Telsla was the only Ev offering battery swap how the us financial world would be kissing Elons tail from here to sundown.
NIO's marketing strategy is not to make publicity. Their strategy is to get attention by the NIO Houses/Spaces and they rely on mouth to mouth publicity from their customers. It is a different approach they are using but only time will tell if it is a successful one. They of course market they products on their social media accounts aswell.
@@niosource Look Tesla got a lot of free press from the mainstream. Nio does not. Nobody ever has heard from Nio here in Netherlands. Even though there are swap stations and a Nio house. Nio also does not get into the main stream news therefore nobody knows that it even exists !!!!!
@@HermanWillems NIO just entered the Netherlands an the other european countries a few months ago. How are they supposed to be known all over the countries? Give them some time 🙂
@@niosource Can you answer 2 questions from me. Why are Kia/Hyundai/Lexus like what i mean. Why are all Asian luxury car models NOT popular in Europe? I can answer did but can you? Do you know the European market well? Second questions. How did ALL other successful Asian companies succeed in Europe?(Kia,Toyota,Hyundai are all very popular and loved among regular people.) I can answer this but can you? Do you know the European market well? Give it some time is a nonsense low educated answer, and very unanalytical. @@HermanWillems "Give it some time is a nonsense low educated answer, and very unanalytical." They only have been in the 4 new countries for 4 months plus they only did start selling the cars in Germany since end of november so please spare me your comment! Btw in Norway the ES8 was the 35. best selling EV in 2022 and 32. in Q4 2022 out of 531 brands. Remember, this car is 4,5 years old! Why are all Asian luxury car models NOT popular in Europe? First of all there are just a few asian luxury cars, especially luxury brands in Europe. Lexus for example sold 46,255 cars in Europe last year. Genesis sold around 2,300 cars. I wouldn't call Lexus unpopular, but they also have been around since 1997! Genesis only since 2021! As I "currently" live in Germany and being from the heart of Europe, I know about the pride in their premium brands and also the doubts especially about chinese brands. How did ALL other successful Asian companies succeed in Europe? By selling cheap and reliable cars! It's as simple as that! Yes NIO is going with another strategy and it is very hard to step foot into the european market I won't deny that but the fact that NIO has it's own unique way to do that is what makes the difference. I doubt that you really understand the concept of their marketing! You cannot simply compare NIO, Lexus, Genesis etc. sales numbers to sales numbers of companies like BYD, Hyundai or Kia. If fact it's not about the sales numbers, it's about margins and revenue. Premium car manufacturers have higher margins and therefore have to sell less cars! Compare for example NIO to XPeng, both have been founded in 2014 but Xpeng needs to sell twice and more cars to equal the revenue of NIO. Now for the practical experience! I have already been participating in NIO events especially concerning parts of their marketing strategy. I talked to people who switched from their Range Rover, Model S or Audi, Mercedes and Audi to a NIO ET7. I talked with people working at NIO and had discussions all over the place. I did experience the ET7 and battery swap station myself. I got to feel the customer friendly atmosphere and even saw how it affected users. Many of them had problems when their ET7's got delivered. The thing that stuck with them was how nice the NIO personel was and how they actually cared about customers. We live in a time where the whole car market is changing rapidly! Chinese brands will likely spread all over the world. Let's say NIO would fail in the european market! It still found success in the biggest car market in the world. China!
Expecting around 17,000 Deliveries/Mo. in 2023, but only because of slowing 1stGen ES8 as people are waiting for 2.0 version in June/July '23. Total of about 210,000 vehicles is very likely. 70% Increase from 2022.
January already was lower. I did know that deliveries would be lower but 50% of December deliveries was definitly less than I could imagine. I hope that from March on, it will increase significantly.
Lets wait for the following months. It seems that especially with the ET7, the supply chain problems with car parts haven't been solved yet. Li said that they should be able to have managed it by the second quarter.
Expecting 400 k in 2023
If your right NIO will have to go from 8500 cars in January to 18.000 per month for the rest of the year!!!! I hope your right. I'm a little leary
