    An amazing survivor in the perfect colour , I recall going with my dad in 1961after an invitation to view the newly introduced Ford Consul Classic at a small independant Ford agent in Cambridge - The Dan Morley Garage .I seem to recall he was not that impressed !. A friend later bought one in blue/white , reg. no. 2226 RU and enjoyed many trips in that one.

    I had one back in the 70's and loved it. Darker blue than this one and if I remember it right, a 1500cc engine with floor change..

    I had a Classic that I bought circa 1973. I think I paid 100 quid for it. It ended up putting a Cortina GT engine in it and sold the car around 1975.

      @@IconicBrands123 Have the doors on your Classic ever opened by themselves ? I almost lost a passenger when the door suddenly swung open on a corner. I adjusted the catch mechanism many times and it would still do it on occasion.
      My first car was a 55 Ford Pop that I bought for 20 quid in 1971.

    • @IconicBrands123
      @IconicBrands123  Год назад

      If only we had hold onto some of these classic cars of the past a pop for 20 quid sounds a great bargain now the mgb doors
      open and shut as they should but I guess overtime with time on the mechanism this might wear and happen fortunately mine is okay but I will keep self opening doors in mind lol

    The 1st car I owned was a 1958 ford consul with a column change light dip on the floor hand brake on the dash 3 seats in the front and 3-4 seats in the back. No disrespect to this car but the 58 model was far better😏
