My freshman year at Ohio State cost 515.00 for room, board & classes per quarter. My student status allowed for me to buy a season ticket for the home football games. I paid $42.00 for 7 games including this one. Field seats behind the Buckeyes bench
Ohio State's offense struggled in 80s.Underachieving 1984 Ohio State team marked beginning of end for Earle Bruce. Michigan was better than Ohio State in 85 and 86.Especially 85
Michigan got screwed....after OSU took the lead Michigan was driving and got a first down or close to it and the refs called a fumble but it’s pretty obvious that it wasn’t. After that point it was game over.
Michael Meden why because I called some random team (to me) one of the worst teams of all time? Lol 😂 this is solid logic dude. I just might forward this over to a real Michigan or Ohio state fan board to either ridicule you or disown you. Still laughing....
@@carseye1219 Too bad he threw 3 Interceptions and lost a fumble in Rose Bowl. And threw a pick 6 against Purdue. Better offensive scheme at Ohio State would have helped 🙄🤷

In Barry Switzer's book, he ascribed the '83 loss to Ohio State as "we matched up pretty well, but Tomczak picked us apart". Find me a QB anywhere that hasn't thrown a pick 6. There are many OSU teams through the years that would have killed to have a Mike Tomczak at QB. I'm just using the historical yardstick of the dearth of NFL quality Buckeye quarterbacks.

This would be Ohio State's last home victory over Michigan until 1994 when John Cooper's Buckeyes defeated Gary Moeller's Wolverines 22-6.

I was sitting in the south stands as a sophomore at OSU. It was a great day!
What a catch by Mike Lanese!!!!!
25:24 play of the game
Rivers 13 was a beast for Michigan
I can honestly say I was there!!
Michigan played better last 2 games of season even though they were losses. Improvement carried over to next season

Still does 42-27
That's the ol ballgame. O H !!!

Would you happen to have the full version of this game?
The OSU Player of the Game somehow wasn’t the one who scored three touchdowns 🤦♂️
And he never reached Endzone again for Buckeyes
Love it ... Go, Bucks!
As it should be.

Do *ichigan fans EVER take a loss without whining about the refs?
I’m not a Michigan fan.
I’ve been doing research on how the 1984 Michigan team was the best worst team of all time. My conclusion after a week of research? It’s true.

All you have to do is watch the opening drive of this game to know how shitty Mike Tomczack was as a quarterback.
He was good enough to spend 14 years in the NFL. Are there any other Buckeye QB's that ever did that?
you sound dumb
