Wala namang trip na perfect. Kahit anong galing mo sa pag-plano, may mga bagay ka pa ring makakaligtaan or hindi alam, lalo na kung first time mo. And isa sa mga karaniwang first-time destinations para sa mga Pinoy ay ang Hong Kong. Sa totoo lang, hindi naman mahirap i-explore ang Hong Kong, pero syempre, may mga bagay pa ring kailangang alam mo before you go.

just to add… better may dala ka na eco bag kasi may charges ang plastic bag sa mga supermarket at ibang shops
Your videos very informative and always updated, A true traveller
Love your suggested places to visit HK. Sana more affordable hotel and food places to go for on your next video. Looking forward to our first time travel to HK sa November. Sana may Macao recommendations too kasi plan is to stay in HK for 3 days and 3 days in Macao. 🙂
The best talaga content mo ..
Planning to go to HK on August this year with my wife. Thank you for the tips. :) We really need to check the weather to make the most out of the trip.
A little bit rainy in August
August weather in HK is horrible! Hot & humid.
Better visit during the winter season esp. January or February
August is the peak of summer here in HKG. Just a reminder that HKG summer is different from Pinas. It is veeery humid here. Aside from visiting major tourist spots, I hope you try going to a public beach here. It’s worth it ❤ Just don’t visit on weekends of course it will be crowded. Lower Cheung Sha, Big Wave, Shek O, Tai Long Wan in Sai Kung. I personally recommend these options. Don’t go to Repulse, Deep Water Bay, Stanley, Middle Bay, these are all overrated and dirty.
I really like the way you narrate your vlogs. Very detailed and informative. Salamat po.
Thank you! 😃
“ Mahal ang Hong Kong “. Totoo yan. It was way cheaper pre pandemic. Japan is actually cheaper than HK now when it comes to eating and shopping.
True
Better mag Taiwan now than HK...But I love HK because of Disneyland...But won't go there every year
Hi!! Will go there next month. Planning to use our gotyme card instead of buying octopus card. Is it more convenient? Pls share some tips!! Also, nice content 👍🏻
I took pre registration for 6 days since I will visit Macau on day 1 .When I enter again old pre registration will expire and I need to take a new one right
For me kng gsto nyo ng malamig January to feb. Nice weather good for long walk
Hi! I have watched many of your videos. I enjoyed and learned the most when you compare cities. I will be visiting HK soon that is why I stumbled on your video because I felt that though I have been in HK for three times already, I needed to be updated because it has been long I have visited HK. Another, I really wanted to see Frozen. I took note of your suggestions, but I booked in Yha Mei Ho Youth Hostel in Sham Sui Po because of the space. I booked it through Agoda. I need airport transport. Any recommendations on this since we are four? I agree that HK is expensive, but I need to see the changes in Disneyland. I agree also that one must bring his passport all the time not only for security but also for discounts. I hope you can recommend to me a hotel in Fukuoka. Should we sleep in Nagasaki for two days? I am planning to go to the Peace Museum and Huis Ten Bosch. I know you have a video on this. But where else do you recommend for a side trip.
Thank you for the videos with language that is appropriate even for young audiences. God bless!
Actually if you want to explore cheaper food with a lot of options from Asian to Western, you can stay in Kowloon area. Mong Kok, Jordan, Sham Shui Po, Prince Edward, Tai Kok Tsui, Yau Ma Tei, these are the districts where you can find various food options that typically ranging from 40-80HKD per person. That’s already a meal with really big serving. Because looking for food anywhere in HK side (Central,Sheung Wan,Kennedy Town) food prices are already higher since a lot of expats live there and the area is the business center of HK. There are a few affordable food shops like what we call here “Dai Pai Dong” or their carinderia version that some even got Michelin Star but in most cases they are super busy especially during peak hours which will eat a lot of your time while waiting for your table. Plus, if you are a tourist here in HK you will want to try their traditional food unless you want something more modern. Another tip, if you love seafood (HKG seafood cuisine is a must try) Cheung Chau, Mui Wo, Sai Kung and Lamma Island are the places to be.
And this vlog is also correct concerning random checking by the police. Every resident of HKG MUST be carrying their HKID all the time, if you don’t have it, your ID must be reachable within 500m from your current location otherwise we will get a penalty. This is also applicable to tourists. You SHOULD bring your passport wherever you go. HKG law is very strict. If you can’t provide your ID, then sorry. For lodging I think it’s better to look for an Airbnb. There are big flats that can accommodate large groups for the same price of getting a hotel room that can only accommodate 2pax.
Kaya po ba Ngong Ping Cable Car sa umaga till noon then The Peak sa hapon hanggang pagabi?
We will visit HK next year February. What is your suggested tourist spot na okay puntahan? :) maulan ba kapag february?
Planning to go to HK sa January next year (sakto din sa Chinese New Year). Kaso nahihirapan ako makahanap ng accessible and affordable na accomodation (for 3pax) na hindi mahihirapan ang pag commute. Plano namin Disneyland, Cable car and Buddha
You can try best western hotel sa Tsim Sha Tsui.
We went to HK prepandemic and stayed in Golden Crown (TST area). Very accessible sa mtr and bus specially from and to the airport. We explored the usual key areas like Ocean Park, Disneyland, Victoria Peak, Mongkok area, etc ng walang kahirap-hirap dahil ang ganda ng transpo system nla. We also purchased the amusement parks tickets in Golden Crown since they are cheaper compared to Klook. Best mont to visit is mid-March parang Baguio weather lang, sarap maglakad kc di mainit kaya maski bata na kasama ko di nagreklamo.
We stayed in Golden Crown too!
The best kasi near MTR station...Whenever Info to HK I booked with these 2 guesthouses ❤️
@@yasminreyes957 True. Mabilis ma-sold out Golden Crown since recommended din sya sa mga travel forums. GC is a better option compared to Chungking or Mirador - medyo shady ang vibe nitong 2 sa kin 😅
@@pilyangmaarte1551 Yes! Kami we tried to book a year ago...Fully booked talaga sila palagi 😭
I think I saw you two last May 30 in the immigration T1.
Baka kami nga yun 😅 Morning ba?
@@thepoortraveler yes.
are they really like that or tlagang galit sila sa mga pinoy? im here in Hk now and di naman ako 1st timer sa Hk tho madalas sa TST kami nagppunta then 1st time ko dito sa causeway bay. we stayed in Harbour Grand then alam ko naman masusungit sila pero kahapon may ibang nangyari. we went to an art museum malapit lang sa hotel then may nalabasan kami na field na puro rock pebbles. then naglakad kami kasi nagdidiscuss kmi ng husband ko saan kami dinnner. there were few kids cguro 2 lang then i told my kids (11 at 13 yo) na umiwas kasi baka mabato sila ng mga bata. then we went at the edge ng field. nagppulot pulot ng pebbles anak ko babae kc nabobore na daw sya. then usap kami ni hubby. suddenly, may hongkie woman na lumapit at sinita ang anak ko. galit sya sabi nya “dont do that to my son!” napalingon ako sa nak ko, sabi ko what happened, sabi ng hongkie “ shes throwing rock to my son!” e wala nman kami nakitang dumaan na bata or tao. sabi ng anak ko “ i just threw the pebble back to the field because i dont like it!” so meaning wala nman syang ginaagwa na kakaiba at wala nmang bata or tao na malapit bukod sa knila ng kuya nya. so i asked the hongkie “why are you accusing my daughter??! she disnt throw any rock to anyone! do you have proof!?” she said “yes i have proof” me: “where is your proof! show it to me! why are you accusing my daughter??!” then she continued talking but not looking to me but to my daughter, she was really picking on my daughter! then i got really angry i told her “ we came here looking for food! and we didnt hurt anyone!” then she walked away talking pa rin then i shouted to loud i was really angry “we didnt hurt your son! what is your problem??!” then i watched while she walked away wala nman syang kasamang bata or lalaki. parang may saltik sya sa pag iiisp pr sgiuro she just wanted to pick on my daughter talaga kaya inis na inis ako.
What requirements did you bring when you visit Hong Kong
Wla naman. Passport lang
good day po! tanong lang po.. required din po ba mga kids to have octopus card like 6 yrs and below?
Hi Catherine! Ang alam ko po, yes po. Meron pong Octopus Card for kids 3-11 years old na mas mura.
Meron po kau video New York?
Naku, wala pa po. Di po kami natuloy pa-US last year. 😅
Sa sheung wan island ata kame napadpad nun from macau, Naalala ko yung shun tak center duon, anu bang major attractions dun sa sheung wan island?
Sheung Wan is an MTR station not an island.
You must be referring to HK Island.
@@flip1sba ah ok, ganun pala
Tulad ng Man Mo Temple, Western Market, food streets markets, fringe clubs, at madami pang iba
@@0xastley thank you
Dun kami nagkamali. Rubber shoes at konting tshirt lang nabili namin. Yung stores na tabi tabi selling cute clothes, bags, anik anik, waley!🤣
Nasa argyle center mga cute na damit in mongkok
1st wk of april kami pumunta infairness madami pa sale pati malamig pa.
Marami po but u did not go to d right place in between mong kok and prince edward near the biggest flower market is a long bangketa shopping area side by side and middle are all selling clothes bags etc mostly korean, japan, china made. Temple St is the same pero mas mahal and nagtetake advantage mga ibang seller. Sham shui po is another area where in you can get crazy brand new and ukay at mga gadgets to as low as 5$ lng. In the night marami din latag mapapagod ka kapipili because buong area from A to D is latag
For shoes dami branded umpisahan mo lng mglakad from tsim sat tsui khit diretsuhin mo lng highway dami. Easy Jodan mtr exit D2 yon shopping mall dami good buy for shoes. Mong Kok you'll get crazy dami shoes n clothes
Planning to go back to HK.
first time to go there in 2019 and most people are rude (in my experience), did you also experience the same?
planning to go Aug I needed this
Oo pwd peso to hkd.
Indeed! 😂
Mas mahal pa din si SG. 😅
Yas.
Taiwan ok mga locals...they will go on their way to help you...Di ka masisisgawan😂
@@yasminreyes957 yes Taiwan kami sa October, super excited
Good enjoy!

Never ever say bad things about China there. Better still, don't discuss at all about political issues involving them there.
I WILL NEVER SET FOOT SA TERRITORY ng mga chekwa especially I’m a Filipino I HATE the system of government under XI.
HK is different from China. It may be part of China but it has its own system of government.
In fact many HKers detest China and The CCP as with the past protest prior to The National Security Law.
I ❤ HK!!!
Nope
I agree with you. A lot of nice places to go in our own country.
HONGKONG IS SO BORING. DISNEYLAND, OCEAN PARK THEN WHAT ELSE? LOL
BETTER GO TO SINGAPORE.
