for sambora tone I have found putting everything at about 12 o clock including gain and presence is the best. put treble to maybe 1 o clock...helps if you add a boss super overdrive or tube screamer over it with the gain at 9-10 o clock and the volume at 1...hope that helps...ps add lots of chorus
