@@arsbadmojo I know this guy in the YT video isn't him, but are you saying that session guitarist Tim Pierce played the solo on the album???!!! No way...can't be.
@@jwh09271997s Yes, exactly. I was very shocked to learn that too. No disrespect to Ritchie at all either. Watch the link I posted, Tim explains how it came to be.
great job, thanks, I wish I had youtube when I was young and playing in club bands learning songs by ear. Surprisingly I got a good bit of them correct. Spent a lot of time relearning them 20 years later just because and I wasn't even actively playing anymore.
Jon Bongiovi recorded this track before assembling his famous band Bon Jovi and in Pre-Ritchie Sambora times. Guitar in this song is played by Tim Pierce. Go see his channel if you haven't. It's top notch material for guitarists.
This whole song including this killer guitar solo reminds me of 1984 when I was 14、what we call in Japanese 中2病 days. So do Ratt, W.A.S.P, Twisted Sisters and so on.
You nailed it... Great guitar playing and solo by Tim Pierce on the original recording (yes, Tim Pierce, not Richie Sambora)... This was done as a demo before Jon put the band together, and Tim Pierce played all the guitar parts. Noted studio musician, and played guitar for Rick Springfield back in the 80's. Check out his channel, he has a couple videos about this song/solo, as well as a plethora of other great videos.

@@salt7379 Incorrect, Nova did record guitar tracks but Jon wasn't happy with the final tune so Tim re-wrote the music. And you might wanna watch this as well. ruclips.net/video/ZQTqF5J0evY/видео.html
This was a song Jon Bon Jovi wrote that was just one song with no album deal. A New York radio station held a "Best Unsigned Band" song contest. His song won the contest. It's popularity led to him getting signed to a record deal. This recording was all studio musicians. With Tim Pierce playing all the guitar parts and solo- NOT Richie Sambora. Also Hugh McDonald played bass on this track. Ironically he later joined the band after the exit of Alec Jon Such in 1994. They kept the recording just the way it is for the 1st album. Without re-recording it with the Bon Jovi band. There was no need to. It's production was perfect. The rest of the 1st album was the band. Also, Jon was the only one signed officially to the Mercury Records label. The rest of the band was on salary- although a VERY good salary. And to my knowledge, that's the way it is to this day.
