Your "drums on pads + bass on keys with just one hand" is constantly mesmerizing.
Cooper FX: Generation Loss = uncanny, genius.
Christ, you're not wrong. Nothing on Reverb either that isn't woefully overpriced. Seems like the kind of pedal you'd hold onto.
Your music takes me places. I could just listen to it forever and be perfectly content.
love your combination of embracing new tech in a creative way, with mega chops, steeped in the traditions of jazz!!
Thank you Eric! Really appreciate the generous compliments man :)
I absolutely love the Thermae on keys and keep coming back to hear this
Thanks, it's definitely an inspiring pedal!
I am going to share your page with everyone I know, and I know at least 3 people.
I hope those 3 people are as cool as you! Thanks Joshua 😃
How anyone can watch 5:35 and still give this video a thumbs down is unbelievable. Skills bro!
Thanks so much Phil! Means a lot dude :) 🙏
Came for the effects, stayed for the nice playing.
I love that yer a gadget junky that can actually play. ME? I'm just a gadget junky! You sir, are a GOD! :D Keep on with yer stuff. It's fun, inspiring and accessible. Saw you with Utopia in DC. Blew me away!
Can I like this video twice? Thank you for taking pedals and synthesis / performance to the next level.
Thank you for the kind words Michael! 🙏🙂
My favorites were 5:25 and 8:43! Would be awesome to see some of these developed into full songs. Also, getting serious modular synth vibes à la R Beny and Ann Annie from a lot of the pieces. Awesome stuff!
Thanks so much Jayden! I might revisit some of them and make longer versions in the future. :)
You are so amazing Gil! So happy to be your sphere.
Body and Soul through gen loss sounds nearly like old record. 10/10
You are unreal, my man. I look forward to every single video, cause you are constantly and consistently pushing the envelope.
I appreciate you man! Thanks so much! 🙏❤️
Your stuff is always so overwhelming to me, but in a really inspiring way!
The piano parts with the generation loss are so good!
Thank you!
Your piano playing is next level. I'm hearing all kinds of Art Tatum and Oscar Peterson influence... excellent!
Thanks so much! Tatum and Peterson were HUGE influences so I really appreciate that! 🙏
@@GLASYS 🙂
I must say I"m dazzled by your musical talent and your thirst of acoustic research !
Thanks Michel! Appreciate your kindness 🙏
One of my favorite channels from now on.
Thanks Stuart! 🙏
wow the talent here is a blessing
one thing i like about your videos is that you actually know how to play piano/synths.
Love the Art Tatum style part!
Stunning. Finally a great player showcasing some synths and pedals. Thank you.
Thanks so much Felix! That really means a lot to me! 🙏
Dopest producer hands down.... my dude has the master keys to pick any musical lock !!!!
Do you have any other pieces you did that sound like 2:38 ? Or can you recommend some pieces that sound like that! I love that classical ballad style!
I haven't recorded any other jazz ballads in that style yet, but I probably will!
@@GLASYS I'm not sure if you're familiar with Chopin, but I'd literally kill for a version of Misty with chopin like changes from you! I just discovered you today and you really share my taste!
@@razzerraw1108 ha yes Chopin is one of my favorite composers and a big influence. :)
@@GLASYS Hey man, theres this site called Multiplayerpiano.com, It allows you to play your midi keyboard with other users online. You meet some of the most talented people on there, I'd like to see if you can hop on and we can exchange some playing :) !!
YOU HAVE REALLY MASTERED YOUR CRAFT...You are OOAK...Dig it.
killing playing dude, insane
Hey Elliot, thanks so much 🙏
Hey man great music. Thank you for inspiring to go out and practice and get better at percussion. Also I hope my dad or you win the tiny desk competition in 2019!! thank you for making my life great!!
Thanks so much for the kind words Big_chickens! Best of luck with your playing, and good luck to your Dad in the contest!
GLASYS thank you for the kind music best of luck to
Jesus the last one got me. Keep up the good work man
Man love the showcase of pedals on synths. Awesome video. Thanks for creating.
Thanks, I’m really glad you enjoyed it 🙏
The Judder too. That shit is like unobtanium.
You made this in such an accessible way. As someone who is still very new to pedals, it's hard for me to distinguish them. But your video helps me quite a bit!
Hey Kenny, thanks! So glad this was able to help, wishing you the best on your pedal journey!
6:00 that break is amazing!
Thanks Luciano! I appreciate the kind words man :)
OMG PLEASE work with Brian Eno. Do an album or share a coffee or something! LOL :D Also you need to go in depth about your t-shirt collection.
Hey thanks so much for the kind words and support! I'm ready to work with Brian Eno as soon as he is 😄🙏
Most of my tshirts are from threadless.com, I'm not that original 😄
One of the best reviews of pedals for keyboards. Maybe you can do other videos like this exploring the same or other pedals with more sounds, keyboards, colors. etc.
Thanks Andres, I'm glad you found it helpful! I recently made a new Chase Bliss MOOD demo, and will be making more :)
What pedal did you use with the reface cs?

Thanks Anthony! :)
Great performance, on piano, on fx. Really rare!
Thank you for this!
Thanks so much Stefan, really appreciate your kind words! 🙏
6:56 reminds me of the older donkey kong games for some reason. Very relaxing :)
I just love the immerse.
Ohh that first clip with the Prophet X just hit :) Very nice!
Thanks Renzsu! :)
5 : 25 Brain exploded when the bass cames, awsome!
Thanks Victor, glad you like it!
@@GLASYS I think you should do a complete video with this chords ! Like a jam video !
I like all the fingers on your left hand!
My right hand fingers are jealous! Haha thank you :)
excellent playing and usage of pedals
Thank you! 🙏
Nice left hand fill there man on the Akai.
holy $H!T at 6:10 with the X. so cool. that prophet has plenty tricks of its own added to the pedals. and then the drop... amazing!
Thanks C Cook! Glad you enjoyed it dude, appreciate the kind words! :)
Wow the generation loss one sounds so nice.
Thanks! I love that pedal :)
Dope stuff dude.
beautiful voicings
Thanks 🙏😊
You remind me of Patrick Moraz and Eddie Jobson ! - Impeccable Technique !
Thanks for the kind words Mikkel!
Absolutely LOVE that Nectar shirt mate, wish i had one. My richness is life forever,, jah man bless up
video is absolute fire too mate, love the sounds. love the style you play. lit
Thanks dude!
Right to the point, I like it.
Really kinda curious what the controller/synth is at about the 8:55 mark...the slanted white one, not the modified akai with arcade buttons...anyone know?
Also, you showed some of my favorite pedals in this. The Generation Loss is fantastic, along with a few others in the same vein - the Shallow Water from Fairfield Circuitry and the Chase Bliss Warped Vinyl. Speaking of Chase Bliss...the Thermae is another on of my favs - such an amazingly creative pedal. And of course the Red Panda Tensor....it and the Particle are fantastic. I could keep prattling on, but I'll save you from that...lol Suffice to say this was a great video and your an amazing musician. Blessings.
Thanks for the kind words theorist! The white keyboard is a Yamaha Reface CS, I was running it's internal sound through the pedals. :)
@@GLASYS Had to come back to watch this video again it was so good the first time around. Not sure how your reply got passed me - I don't believe I received a notification for it - but anyways, thanks for the reply. And again, great video, great channel. +1
Someone needs to get these pedals to Ryuichi Sakamoto, you sound so much like him with these! Also those old-timer style pedal and your playing really reminds me of Cuphead.
the snowpocalypse was beautiful
Thank you! 🙏
Absolute madlad!
My dude!
"music that goes deeper" yes!
Superb music, I love your universe! And what a wonderful choice of pedals.. May I ask you in which modes you are playing the more often? Sounds like you are diving deep into some colorful and particular modes? Thanks in advance and good luck, I'll follow your future work for sure!
Thanks so much for the kind words and support, really appreciate it! :)
Honestly I don't really think about theory when composing / improvising, but if I were to analyze it I probably use dorian mode quite a lot. I also like to modulate to different keys.
@@GLASYS Thank you for your answer!
Nice selection
Thanks!
love your playing!
Thanks so much Satoshi! Appreciate it! :)
Wonderful playing!
Thanks so much John! :)
That's ill shit. Instant sub.
Is that your own rendition of Body and Soul it sounds so familiar, sounds great though as always
Thanks man! It is my own, inspired by the greats of course
Amazing video❤❤🎉🎉
beautiful playing!
Thanks so much Mario!
Ok finally RUclips showing me ur content on my subscription feed sigh
RUclips algo doesn't like me... not much I can do, so I don't worry about it :)
nice pedals....nice Tatum
Thanks John!
Great performance.. thx
Thank you! 😊 🙏
Sooo, what about the MXR Carbon Copy? Only sitting there with three other delays...
I love the Carbon Copy, I used it a lot in older projects. It's still got my favorite tone for a BBD delay.
i have an arpeggio. You have a right hand
Amazing video! I'm thinking to get Thermae but somebody told me that it can be quite noisy. I can hear a bit of noise which I don't mind it gives it character actually. :)
Thanks Sara! Yeah it's not a pedal you buy if you want a clean delay... it's weird and noisy and full of life :)
@@GLASYS thanks for the info! :D
This is amazing
Thanks Kevin!
Do you recommend the AKAI professional LPK 25? Looking for a live drumming machine and I see it in all your videos after 2019.
Mine is modded to have all those arcade buttons. The actual product is just a mini keyboard. Look at the MPK series, those have pads as well
Inspirational !
Thank you :)
GLASYS you’re welcome ! You’re very creative and a very accomplished piano player. That demo on the generation loss almost sounds like an old Thelonius Monk recording. Crazy !
@@bouguification I love that pedal, I could play it for hours and hours... thanks for the big compliment!
Have you made a video on the Collider pedal ?
I don't own that pedal unfortunately!
im in love
Is it Friday?
Awesome
Thank you! :)
It's like if art tatum had effects pedals
That's the nicest thing anyone's ever said to me
Really great work. Q: How do you run the pedals stereo?
Thank you! I don't, I run them mono. If it's a delay or reverb pedal I'll sometimes run it through an aux on my audio interface and keep the source stereo
Really cool!
Thanks Jonathan!
Very Nice...
Thanks Spaceman!
Is it possible to run the tensor in stereo? Reminds me of FL studios gross beat. Either way, I am ordering one to use with my prophet x. Enjoyed the demos, thanks for sharing.
Tensor is mono. You can run it as a send effect through your interface to keep the Prophet signal stereo if you want, that's what I often do. I'm sure you'll enjoy the pedal! :)
GLASYS thanks that’s what I will do. Just got the prophet today, so exploring it a bit. Great stuff in there
Are you using any re amp box or something before going into the pedals? Thanks
No, going directly in most of the time. sometimes it's an aux output from my interface.
You have changed my mind. Thx. For that.
That last loop, really eerie, I like it. Did you make a full track with it ?
Thank you, no I haven't. If anyone wants to remix it I'm happy to send the file.
@@GLASYS I'd be glad to play with it !
@@ChillPillMiouzik email me at info@glasysmusic.com
Awesome possum
Great video, does Akai still make that controller? I can't find it anywhere. Supercool
Thanks Joseph! The bottom part of the controller is an Akai LPK25 which I'm pretty sure you can still find. The arcade button part was custom built for me.
@@GLASYS Oh wow, that arcade part is the dope!!!!!
lmk if you sell those! thk
@@josephfelice601 I didn't build it myself, it was built for me by Matt Moldover. You can reach out to him and ask him to build you something like this - but FYI, it's not gonna be cheap!
If you're simply looking for an arcade button controller, check out the Midi Fighter by DJ Tech Tools.
@@GLASYS Thanks Bro!!!
Hey do you find you lose much using mono pedals on a stereo synth?
Depends on the sound source... if it's a wide stereo sound then yes, but in that case I wouldn't run it through pedals directly
Do you think it's a problem that these pedals are not stereo ? That's one of the reason why I'm hesitant on buying the Thermae 😭
Depends how important stereo is to you, you can always run it as an aux effect.
@@GLASYS I always thought it was very important (especially as a keyboard player, sounds tend to have stereo effects) !
But seeing multiple videos of keyboardists playing in mono, I want to ask why people don't really care haha
What do you mean by running it as aux effect ? I'm new to the whole " sound " world and I don't really understand what it means / how would it make it stereo ?
@@MisterJoThePotatoes I mean running an effect loop through a mixer or audio interface. Basically, having the keyboard run in stereo as usual, but also having a separate output on a mixer run to the pedal and back to a separate channel. That way, you can control the dry signal (stereo) and the effect (mono) separately. Just set the pedal to 100% wet.
@@GLASYS Oh ok I see !! Yes that could be a solution !
Thanks 🙏
Have you ever used the strymon big sky reverb pedal be for? If so is it as good as the say it is 🤔
I haven't, but I've heard it being used a lot and it sounds great.
Great stuff sounds really kool.quick question to get pedals into my d.a.w I need whts call d.I pedal right ? Well I find the sandamp looking up pedals and itself is d.I
Have you ever use a sandamp and do you think it work good running pedals into my daw for effects ?
I don't use a DI. I just go straight into the interfaces preamp.
@@GLASYS nice you have really good interface then ?what kind do you,use
Nothing too fancy, I use a Focusrite Clarett. It should work with any interface that has an Instrument input
that akai lpk with that red button attatchment is mazing. wat is it?
Thanks, it's a custom made controller!
Sanwa or Seimitsu ? 😉
whats the tune for generation loss??
Body and Soul
tu gère grave mec :o
YO YOU CAN
PLAY!
I’m gonna call tea for two at my next gig now cause Jesus I need to build my chops to be half as good as you
Thanks Solomon! It's a fun tune... have fun playing it at the gig! :)
What...no distortion?! I wanna hear some loud screechy madness!!!!!
I used to have some drive pedals, but I didn't find them as useful with keys. Most of my synths have built in distortion circuits :)
2:38 whats is the song name?
Body and Soul
@@GLASYS artist?, Do you have a full version of this, you play so beautiful dude
@@jose8999624717 Thanks man! It's an old jazz standard that was written in the 30s. I included my version in my latest album "Off Screen" which you can find now on most platforms :)
