I'm at a loss for words. The attention to detail, each little painted segment and brick, the storytelling and camerawork... I'm in your world when I watch these, not in mine any more.
That “we need your expertise” was too deep for such a short story. I sincerely hope your novel will give goosebumps like that, I’m already enthralled in the old man’s story
Do you think he was a scientist, maybe biology, botanist turned biological weapons expert…. creating a weapon that was meant to drive the fungal blight into an enemy territory but it ended up mutating it to spread more rapidly over the entire continent. His team working frantically to reverse engineer a compound from the leaves of that big tree… as it seemed to be the only living organism that could naturally resist the fungus… only to have everyone mysteriously disappear…. So he ran….
@@the0v0man Harkaad was a character from a previous video, Little Flea. I highly recommend watching it if you haven't already, the storey in this video seems to be a sequel from that one.
Very exicted. You and boylei hobby time are the two channels I use to help me to go sleep almost every night. Very relaxing, I love listening to people talk about their passions!
I'm not lying when I say I was so excited for you uploading. I love the way you make your videos and also the story telling! There's just something really unique about your world and the way you explain everything. Love this! ♥
It's so cool to see how much you have improved in everything from your design, storytelling and the production quality of your videos in such a short time! Keep up the good work!
I normally do not like Sci-Fi Builds (more into realistic dioramas), but for some reason I have to say that I like the whole concept behind your dioramas, especially the short stories. Keep it up, your work is amazing
Every time I see your videos pop up, I think it can't beat the previous one and yet each time I almost cry at the beauty of your creation and the story behind it. You did so well using a technic you just started learning too ! I just want to thank you for creating such wonderful videos, they became so precious to me and helped me get back to crafting myself ! I already can't wait to see what you will create next !
This channel is swiftly becoming top tier content in the miniature hobby space. Love the builds, love your storytelling ability, and always looking forward to the next piece of lore.
That music at the end spoke into my soul as you revealed the final product, I’d love to find more music like it. I’ve loved visiting this world you’ve crafted through the videos you share; and learning of the novel beginning, I hope to one day visit the world anew, in yet another way.
I will most certainly be getting the novel when it comes out but please, please make an audio book. You, telling your own story, with its intended emotion and inflection would be amazing to listen to. Every time you tell a story I am encapsulated till the end and just want to know and hear more.
I listen to you tell the story of the diorama and am fully immersed. Having the diorama there and your voice weaving the tale… perfection. I get sad when the video is over. I'd rather binge your content than anything streaming right now. Can't wait for the next installment. Great Job!
Dude you are such an incredible artist! I loved this build. It's so cool to see the world of Aegis. I feel like this done would be so relaxing. Makes me wanna grab a book, sit on the deck, and watch the birds of Aegis hunt lizards from the cliff tops. Your paint job on the tree looked so realistic of a desert tree, with the bark looking all cracked. The story was fantastic. It literally had my kids entrigues and watching intently. Thank you for sharing your talents and inspiring my children.
I love how your "little" story emphasizes that the Star Wars "Universe" can be SO much more than Luke, Leia and Lightsabers. Required viewing for anyone who wants to tell a story in SW, whether novel, short story, movie or role playing game. Also, superb modelling and displaying skills! Can't wait for more :)
Love watching these videos, seeing the thought process in the designs. watching them come from bits and bobs to works of wonderful art. I think though they truly come to live listening to the stories.
Another amazing build! So it seems the blight hasn't really effected the trees, or the area they are in. Interesting indeed. Can't wait for the next installment!
Well, according to the story this species of tree is a special case. Since the seedlings take over a year to sprout and their root system goes straight down to the water table they appear to be Blight resistant at least. We will have to wait and see if time catches up to them or not...🤔
Definitely looking forward to your novel set in Aegis! Have you published/released your stories before this channel? I'm the editor of a literature magazine and have to say, every short story in your videos just captivates me. This giant narrative of Aegis (with quite the timeline!) is so rich, and your reading + audio editing are a pleasure to listen to. You're the only channel I have notifications on for haha Keep up the amazing work, can't wait to see more!
Thanks very much, I am really working on improving my narration/voice acting and recently reached out to one of my favorite voice actors for advice and got some excellent feedback. I’ve written stories here and there but nothing of this scope/style. It’s been a fun challenge for sure!
This is amazing. And what a beautiful story....it swept me up into your world immediately. I would read the heck outta this!!! What a wonderful gift of imagination and world building you have!
Wow wow wow! New favorite hobby channel! I loved the multi-media storytelling. I’m absolutely blown away. Amazing work! Definitely following along for more now.
I love how all these stories link to together! It’s so fun to dig around and see how they all weave in and out of one another, just like how this story connects with the flea one

Every time I watch one of your videos i think I've found a new channel... I am more of a dollhouse girl than a diorama girl. But your videos are fantastic. I think I've learned so many things I can use and they are just interesting to watch. I'm commenting though because this is one of the ONLY times I've seen merch worth actually buying!! So so cool. I hope you do well with it!
Extraordinary series. Every episode is just a glimpse of an untold mystery in a distant world. A novel for this universe or some sort of short comic book will be a great addition (or grand finale, some day) to the series.
Your work inspires me so much. Not only as a newbie model-maker and miniature painter, but especially as a writer. I often lose hope when I think about how large a story can seem, how intimidating it is to build a world and then tell its story exactly how you intend to, how is one supposed to tackle something as grand as that? But listening to your short stories always reminds me that a world can be built a little at a time, piece by piece, and be just as important as a classic chapter book. Thank you for creating this content, I hope you hit 50k subs soon, you definitely deserve it!
Thanks! And yes, you can build out a world story by story, character by character. The only thing I wish I had done earlier was establishing and overarching timeline. I'm doing it now and it's really challenging to sort all the stories out properly and avoid conflicts.
The models you create are beautiful and very well made, but when you add the story to them I forget I'm watching a youtube video and get lost in your world. I'm excited to hear there could be a book on the way, but please do keep building as well, they're stunning.
Another fantastic video through and through... I expect to see your channel grow 100x in the coming year! Fantastic build, storytelling, and videography.
These tools really make hobbying a joy. I have 8 3D printers split between resin and FDM. An industrial laser cutter, a CMYK printer, and a White Toner printer. It's insane the things you can create with these tools. Yet sometimes a hobby knife and some foam works too.
@@gameyybuilds yes it's their main function to be able to make white things or place white backgrounds behind other designs so they show up on clear surfaces. The CMYK is better at that but it's a $5,000 plus machine that has to be used daily or the ink reservoirs clog up. It's more of a pain to operate unless you have a daily need.
The whole composition is great, but the tree is outstanding! Just a tip: if polymer clay gets too stiff, you can add something like liquid fimo to it, and it gets soft and sticky again.
Really loved this one! The tree looks just like my bonsai that's twisted into and S shape and Im sure there's something to be said about bonsai mimicking miniature artists and vice versa!
