    35 seconds into the first video on your channel, aaaand: SUBSCRIBED!
    I'm throughoutly impressed by the quality of your videos, Eric.
    - The build itself is both creative and impressive.
    - The fact that it's story driven is just genius. And the way you introduce it, bit by bit, just works.
    - Your narrator style does everything justice, by being both informative and funny. I spurted out a loud laugh, when you mixed the basing material.
    All in all, your channel and its content is a true gem, and I felt like taking the time to comment on the video and let you know!

    I need to channel some of this diorama energy of yours. I'm looking at building a Contemptor Dreadnought, but not in a fighting pose. I want it to represent the fragmented remaining humanity behind the soul locked inside the walking coffin. I want him sitting or kneeling and taking care of bonzai trees.

    This is lovely! I know I'm 8 months late with this, but if you need an idea for a future build, maybe a follow-up would be cool, of a fully grown enormous orange tree with what remains of the now long broken walker underneath/entangled in the roots, having never found a place to plant it but always having kept it safe and nourished

    • @SPQRKlio
      @SPQRKlio Год назад +3

      Or a small grove of young orange trees scattered around it...? The lore story broke my heart (in a good way), and I want to imagine a happy ending for the tree (and happy-ish for the walker having unknowingly fulfilled its duty). I do have to applaud the power of leaving it open for us to feel compelled to complete the rest of the story! 🙂

    • @earlware4322
      @earlware4322 Год назад +2

      @@SPQRKlioYeah, I kind of saw a trail of little orange trees wherever an orange fell off the back of the walker. Maybe have a map as backdrop for a future build showing the journey of the walker across the country with little orange icon for all the new trees that spramg up along the way.

    You should check out vacuum tubing at an auto parts store. Really small sizes are available and its flexible and resistant to kinking. Well, really small by ordinary standards. Usually made out of EPDM which is a great rubber but doesn't like oil (no oil paints. Gates brand is the best for cars and for you imo, but it has a greasy coating. I think that with a line painted down the side and some fake branding and specifications would make for some amazing hydraulic hoses.
    During and after rain, check out the trash or ask an employee for some old wiper blades if that auto parts store changes them. Wiper blade adapters, most of which must be thrown out, look very... greeble-y. The adapters are the bits that are at the bottom of the packaging.
    During the earliest hot weather and during the hottest weather, check the trash for air conditioning refrigerant adapters and hoses. They're reusable but most just toss them after charging their car's AC. They have a lot of fiddly plastic and metal bits.
    I know it sounds super ghetto, but this stuff is usually right on top trash (this sounds so dumb as i'm writing this). Honestly, if you walked in and told the staff you're looking through the trash for adapters, they'd just assume you used to work there and was trying to save a a few dollars on a simple fix. In fact, they'd probably tell you where to look.

      These are awesome tips! I actually just purchased a bunch of silicone tubing, which I assume is similar to the rubber you mentioned. But great suggestion in checking with the local auto place for greeblies!

      Another thing. IRL, around where i live, (mid atlantic region of the US) abandoned equipment will have lichens growing over paint and moss growing over any rubber, like weather stripping and exposed hoses. There is an distinct difference between the two surfaces. This will occur even if there is no appreciable dirt or detritus covering it. I don't think i've ever seen this done quite right in mass media.

      @@gameyybuilds The electrical connectors and light bulb sockets are quite greebly too, but most are expensive. Some of the extremely common ones can be had for $5-8. Junkyards will have them for cheaper, but plastic that's old enough to vote is usually very brittle.
      One last thing; check out the plastic rivets and fasteners. There is an insane amount of diversity in plastic fasteners for the automotive industry. If you find something you like or might need again, write down the part number! The entire auto parts industry revolves around part numbers.
