The post apocalypse theme is just everywhere with shows like Fallout, Borderlands and Furiosa. Do you think we would end up with post apocalypse fatigue just like we did with superhero movies?

Some might who follow trends or films, i have been kit bashing/ scratch building my PA outpost for 15 years based on a small community that trade with outsiders. Not too much into the slashing etc side plus my group have an A BOMB on a tower as home security so no dramas in town.

@@paulcreed-r2nI keep thinking of films and TV shows with both “hard” and “soft” post-apocalyptic themes from Mad Max to the Dark Angel TV show. There’s lots of room for variation. Is there still one or more governments? Do public services still exist even if fragmentary or with time limitations? How firm a grip does the government have on things like trade and crime- does money still exist or is it all barter? How hard is it to travel in and out of the controlled zones- can you bribe your way in and out or do you absolutely need some kind of forgery-proof pass?
These details in a backstory can drive everything in a diorama from what building materials you can use to what detail props can be left in open view, if people still keep pets, and so on.
I love your A bomb on a tower as the ultimate FAFO defense against bandits and would-be conquerors. No need for walls and gun towers, just word of mouth and all visitors are nice OR ELSE. Whoever has their hand near the button had best be well guarded of course… but there’s also the possibility of a tyrant with his palace under the tower ruling everyone within miles with a uranium fist so to speak…

Very creative concept, I appreciate the more positive take on post-apocalyptic here. The gas mask, mop suit, zombie onslaught, totally dilapidated look is so common they all seem to blend together in my mind over time. A certain bit of hopefulness to this piece is a nice change.

Can't recall where I heard it, most likely a book, but it referred to the apocalypse as a "mostly peaceful, but slightly bloody, change of society".
While I enjoy the whole Mad Max theme of suped up hot rods racing through the wasteland, there is also the chance for a new twist on how humans deal with the ideas behind the concept of community.

Looks incredible as always, id have stacked the containers a bit more evenly for balance but yes, I would live on a boat in an apocalypse, id find a costal freighter with a few containers on the deck or in the hold and set up shop there, probably find one of those tanker containers full of fuel for the boat too, easily move around then and more managable than a larger ocean going vessle not that there would be much need to cross any large seas
