This has helped so much. I've been looking for a basic tutorial to get me going, as I am not good at all with this stuff. Thanks so much for making this!
Great vid this is the first time I’ve seen one like this. I can’t wait to try this myself, well done my dude!!💯
just got SD3 and I'm used to using piano roll in Logic so this was helpful, thanks. Also, no need to be sorry in the video! Edit it out or just keep going! You have a great presenter style!

Hi. Great video! I just purchased SD3 and I've been looking for a SD3 vid that shows how to write your own loops... and you did it! (Most other videos demonstrate preset grooves.). Is there a way to import the SD3 midi track into ProTools,... Or, can you write a midi drum track directly into ProTools on an instrument track? I'm new to this software, and it's quite involved (yet, the drum samples and mixing capabilities are impressive). Furthermore, can I simply write my own loops through entire individual sections of a song (i.e. verse, chorus, bridge, etc. -- one section at a time) such as triggering kick and snare on a keyboard controller, then adding hi hats, crashes, rides & tom fills as necessary? It seems quite labor intensive to write everything with a pencil tool on the grid editor. I'm definitely open to any suggestions, and thank you with much gratitude in advance for taking the time to answer.
Enjoy! Subscribe for more, much.. much... more!
