How To Mend Holes In Flannel DIY- Pendleton

- I was thrifting at Goodwill the other day and I found this vintage Pendleton flannel. I briefly looked it over to make sure there wasn’t any damages and it looked fine. When I got home, I noticed there was a large hole.

This is such an amazing mend!
Over all, good job. the shirt is now wearable without a very obvious mend. In the future, you may want to round the corners of the interfacing patch. It will be less likely to start to peel in the wash. Also, if you first iron the garment on to the interfacing from the outside, you can get a better plaid match. Then turn it in-side-out and repress to ensure a strong bond. A slightly looser zigzag will be less obvious and still hold well.
