Wait, what? People were expecting the parents in Inside Out to get divorced? It never occurred to me that THAT might be on the table! :S
Very good point at the end. I guess it IS refreshing that nobody was onboard for this thing. The BEST bit of support anyone could muster was "Well, maybe it could be like The Lego Movie, since nobody saw the potential in THAT either", but no one's coming to its defense AFTER the fact.

*Here's something you didn't point out that, in my opinion, makes the movie even worse:* When Gene panicked at the beginning, he started making different faces while he was getting scanned. So why didn't the emoji that was sent to Alex make different faces then?

Well every studio has many successes but with those many successes, there comes a bomb
Honestly, this studio also made Surfs up 2, the open season trilogy, the smurfs dulogy and the 3rd and 4th hotel Transylvania movies, all awful. In fact, Sony pictures anamations isn’t good overall.
funny how this movie has two voice actors from Big Hero 6 , Maya Rudolph who voiced Aunt Cass and TJ Miller who voiced Fred

May I add Mulan’s gender defiantly played a part in her arc but in the 1998 masterpiece it not only made sense for the time period, but Mulan also had to struggle and face hardships. There is literally a scene where Shang tells her she basically failed and that she can pretty much pack up and go home cause she’s through. But she decided not to back out and prove she could make it there cause she wanted to bring honor to herself and her family and when she was discovered under circumstances out of her control, it felt genuinely crushing. But once again when she saw the Huns were alive she did what she knew was right and fought them and proved to her comrades she was worth it by saving China and had all her hard work pay off.
Mehlan 2020 she just had superpowers and basically only had to learn she was awesome as she was and did not have to change or try to pretend to be a boy and just stripped off her armor during a battle just to prove a point and when they found out it did not have the same weight cause yeah you brought it on yourself. And instead of struggling to convince her comrades she just says, hey, I am awesome and can save the day, and they are all like, I believe in Mulan. They literally all say that like they want to sound empowering but if I was Mulan I would tell them to just shut up cause it is just cringe.

When Jailbresak made her stupid "feminist" comment, I just said "He is just repeting your idea, never took the credit!"
And then one year later Sony turned around and made Spider-Man into the spiderverse as an apology for this travesty

If i'm correct, Jack also voiced Wander in Wander over Yonder and this is one of my favorites characters ever! He's well animated, expressive, funny, brave and kind. I adore this creature X3 Felix is great, he's very generous and polite. I like his design, it's simple and colorful; very pretty too.
This movie is a giant bad publicity, no more no less! It's not that creative, entertaining or funny. The only positive point is the animation, the rest is aweful U-U I'm so glad i never watch this movie, reviews are enough and better than the actual film honestly.

Look at the bright side, they could always make a worse one.
The idea that every freshman is obsessed with their phone makes me too sad not to mention it. I was a freshman a decade ago and had my first cell phone...a flip phone. Honestly I only had one because my mother needed to call me to know where to pick me up after high school. I know it's a joke and generalization, but thinking of how things have changed makes me feel awful.
And Judy Hopps definitely has some feminist symbolism when you replace "rabbit" or "bunny" with woman/girl in many of the lines. The key to writing a strong female character, if you want to play that game, is to write about a likeable person going through issues usually only women do. Period pieces are a good idea because we ladies were BY LAW unable to vote, hold many of the same jobs, get the same education, or get the same respect of men. Then you can be insightful about society TODAY.

Yeah and they also do it well by also implying it could be about race as they say that all bunnies in general are not considered cop material just because they are bunnies. They also do it in a way where it doesn’t feel like they are trying to put others down and also show Judy isn’t perfect such as how she ends up causing a a division when she implies in her speech that all predators are certain to go savage and has to learn and grow from mistakes like that.
NBD means "No Big Deal" in abbreviation. Of course, they don't tell you this, so your confusion is justified.
Yeah the producers of this movie have no clue how teenagers actually ACT or TALK🤦♂️

I like how you said memes happen accidentally. Any movie, even a poorly written direct to video sequel can spawn the greatest memes ever. Even if you don't know the movie or characters, if the memes any funny, you get it.

I didn't have a cellphone until I was out of high school. My parents said kids don't need them and that I could just use pay phones, but I couldn't because they got rid of them. I had to borrow someone else's phone every time I missed the bus and it was very embarrassing. Even if they still had pay phones, I still wouldn't be able to use them because my parents never gave me an allowance either!😑
Also, that's not how phones work.

Well it looks like sony is going to do this kind of movie again in the 2020's decade with a meme movie that has been announced back in July. It looks like it's a good time to panic when that film comes out

Looking back at this shit via a rant, and there's still so much that i forgot about; despite me remembering the general plot and even like the worst movie i ever watched (even via pirated means)

Well I wouldn't consider Nick to be a Love interest for Judy. They weren't "In love" with each other by the end so it doesn't count.

@@Saphman4 So that means you have to teach kids trash lessons and a stupid movie? No. There a brilliant films that can keep a children entertained from start to end. Incredibles, Ratatouille, Beauty and the Beast, Hunchback of Notre Damn, and How to train your dragon. All brilliant well made movies that keeps a child entrained. It did for me and everybody else I have talked to.
