  • HELI CZECH s.r.o. is a Czech airline specialising in helicopter operation.
Their flying experience goes back 40 years into history, when many of their pilots flew Mi-24 attack helicopters and Mi-17 transport helicopters.
They began civil operations in 2006, and since that time they’ve flown tens of thousands of flight hours in a number of fields of helicopter flight.
Their core activities include helicopter pilot training to an international standard, alongside other services such as: aerial work, helicopter sales, maintenance, Heli-taxis, experience flights and much more besides…
The company owns a Bell AH-1S Cobra helicopter which was invited to Buadörs Airshow 2024.
The Bell AH-1 Cobra is a renowned attack helicopter developed by Bell Helicopter in the 1960s. Its development began as a response to the U.S. Army's need for a dedicated attack helicopter that could provide close air support to ground troops. The design was based on the Bell UH-1 Iroquois, commonly known as the "Huey," but featured a slimmer fuselage and tandem seating for the pilot and gunner.
The AH-1 Cobra was powered by a single Lycoming T53-L-13 turboshaft engine, which provided 1,100 shp. It had a maximum speed of around 275 km/h and a range of 500 km. The helicopter was equipped with a variety of armaments, including a 20mm M197 Gatling gun, rockets, and TOW anti-tank missiles, making it a versatile and formidable weapon on the battlefield.
The Cobra saw extensive use during the Vietnam War, where it proved its effectiveness in a variety of roles, including ground attack, armed escort, and reconnaissance. Its agility, firepower, and ability to operate in close proximity to troops made it a vital asset in the conflict.
Over the years, the AH-1 underwent several upgrades and modifications. Later variants, such as the AH-1J SeaCobra, AH-1W SuperCobra, and AH-1Z Viper, featured improvements in engine power, avionics, weapon systems, and survivability. The twin-engine AH-1W SuperCobra, for instance, introduced the use of two General Electric T700 turboshaft engines, providing greater power and redundancy.

Great video of a smart attack helicopter maneuvering flight, shot from close range without blurring! It is an evolution of the Huey, so the engine startup sound is very similar to the Huey. The K-MAX with a similar engine also produces a similar sound.👍👍👍
