Hi Gary! Making silage is such a cool process. Every time I watch a video on it I’m impressed with how much equipment it takes to do it and how fast paced it is. Cool video. Take care!
Thanks Justin. Jay said on flat level hood going, they go at 12 mph. That’s faster than road gear on every one of my tractors except for the 2520 John Deere
A 7810 sure would be nice to own! I've often wondered if those speed hitches were any good, the only ones I've ever used are the Bergman hitches and love them. Looks like things went pretty smoothly.
Good morning Erik. The only hiccup with the hitch was the one ditch crossing sheared a 3/4 inch mounting bolt right off. That 7810 has 9000 hours on it and was owned by a John Deere mechanic. Jay got a real good deal on it and got some cheap horsepower. Although it is a 2wd, it fits Jays needs nicely. He would loved to have had a FWA but man , how much does that add to the price tag? $20-$25 K? Thanks for watching Erik.
Hi Gary, sorry so late, awesome video my friend, I just start watching your video a day or two ago and got distracted by something and now remembered to finish watching
Thanks Ed. That thing was sweet. It only plugged once yesterday. Did you catch the part where Jay was helping replace the bolts in the hitch? He crossed a ditch and the hitch hung up and snapped a 3/4 inch mounting bolt right off.
Hello Gary, you got some great footage buddy. The silage cutter is an awesome machine. That hitch is very interesting. I hope you guys get some rain soon. The farmers are just starting to cut some corn up here. We have had too much rain and you guys haven't. That bagging system is pretty neat. Thanks for sharing. Take care
How's she goin'? Nothing nicer than a productive day in the fields eh!! Nice video Gary and thanks to all you farmers out there keeping us well fed!! God Bless you all!! Take care!!
Thanks Kenny. This is all for feed. The hay crop was slim this year as we have had almost no rain. We have had .7 of an inch since May 14th. This silage will have to make up the difference.

@@PineyWoodsHomestead , I worked on a dairy farm that had 3 concrete stave silos. 85 feet tall. @@tractortalkwithgary1271 I got about half way up one of those silos once and that's as far as I ever made it. I've never been fond of anything taller than a deer stand. haha

I can almost smell the sweet silage from when I was a kid with the Oliver blowing it up into the Harvestore. Long days. That is one nasty-looking chopper. Beats our old two-row NH.😊
Good morning Dave. I just now saw your comment. This is pretty slick how all of this comes together. I think I was most impressed with that chopping head. Thanks for watching

Howdy Gary, very neat process harvesting. The big equipment is cool to see in action. The quick hitch attachment is very neat. How long does the silage get stored in the long white tube before it gets used? How many cows will it feed?
Those chopers are pretty amazing. Great work thanks for sharing

Nice having those quick hitches. Saves a lot of trips in and out of the cab.
Yes indeed Chad. Can you imagine trying to do that from the drivers seat of the chopper? You are blind as can be.
Thanks for watching Chad
That is a huge step up from 2 row Fix choppers of the 60s Thank you Gary.
