Honestly think they could've started with a social aspect as a new kind of approach then as Sam gets back into it he gets into old habits. Thanks for uploading. I've been curious about more prototype/Alpha footage about this game. I've been a huge Splinter Cell fan since day one and when I saw the this announcement for this game I was excited and at the same time completely disappointed. The game had none of the stealth mechanics using light and shadows that were the core foundations of the game. I remember being extremely worried I'm thinking to myself it would not work. If the main game kept the core principles and had small sections like these that would have been nice. There was a lot of love and care that went the design of the WWII Memorial level, so I wish we could have seen more of it in the final game. In particular the area with the statues of the soldiers. But to have the whole game like this and call it Splinter Cell just would not have worked. Which obviously they realized because they scrapped around 75-80%. I am happy they went to the drawing board and started over and gave us the Conviction that we have.
I agree with you completely, i think the concept of the beta about a sam fisher in an open world having to unfound the game story while escaping the government is incredible, but it simply lacks splinter cell core gameplay, the gameplay of the beta is anything but splinter cell. In another side i would love to see a merge between the original story, open world and splinter cell game mechanics it would've been perfect👌.
